  1. Ouch. I've had bad drop rates before, but these Orgy Days are really not very christmas-y so far. I'll have ~50 shards in total from villain fights after 5 days if it doesn't get any better. I'm only missing 3 girls this time and it looks like I can't even get one of them for free. I hope I don't have to cripple my orbs stack to get them.
  2. A surprisingly cheap and safe 3rd place for me this time: No AME boosters, no refills. Phoenix won, as expected. Ezekiel and @SunnyLhad extremely strong teams in the second half of this season so I expected both of them to surpass me. But Sunny completely stopped playing 1.5 days before the end, so I got lucky there. Hope he's alright. It seems that all other competitors for the Top4 (poik314, Gett, Michael4UU and Narwen) were playing on autopilot without AME boosters, so I had it easy. Congratulations btw to @poik314for his 4th place. Next week is snowball's-chance-in-hell-week. I don't even have to try. Kenrae, shal, Z-Wave and several others who can mop the floor with me, my level 700 girls and my level 14 club bonuses. I guess they won't even notice I'm there. So, I'm switching to spectator mode and aim for a Top15. Prediction - 8th or 9th place if I'm not making any stupid mistakes.
  3. They may not need it but they get it anyway. Last week's results: As predicted - way too many strong players with level 750 teams. And even some of the non-monsters were in AME mood. Considering this and the fact that I've spent most of my week watching birds 18 hours a day and having almost no private life, I'm very happy with my 7th place. As usual - no refills, no boosters. This week's league looks... funny. If it wasn't for Phoenix, who will get his 70th win without breaking a sweat, I'd probably go for my first win and use AME boosters all the time! Behind Phoenix there are half a dozen players on approximately the same strength level. That would have been a fun fight for 1st place. But with Phoenix, I'll stick to my usual approach. No refills, no AMEs, muddling through and crossing my fingers that everyone else is lazy, too. Alas, the first day was RNG-hell so far. Recently the RNG really begs for me to write down every §$#&% single fighting round again to prove his shenanigans... (and as soon as I start to do this, he'll behave again)
  4. I'm extremely happy with my 4th place this time. Considering that I couldn't catch six players unboosted and that I've lost some points to my own stupidity, some to the market bug that I noticed too late and some to the RNG in this season's second half. And there were quite a few contenders for 3rd and 4th. In the end, Тём...-something (Dark Lord, if I translated it correctly) and @Dr. Ttook 1st and 2nd unrivaled, as expected. @Asoahad a great final spurt and I got lucky again that none of the guys behind me used AMEs as far as I can tell. 303 fights, 3 losses and 21.65 average with no AMEs or refills. Well, okay - 1 refill for 8 koban. Next week my Top4-streak will finally come to an end. Way too many players that are stronger than me. And almost all of them were already collecting points in the first hour. Bad sign.
  5. Mmh, yeah. 3 hours before the end of the first day I've collected 115 ''Crystals''. Seems like 150/day are doable for me (with just the free card), everything else will be a senseless chore and koban burning for nothing if they don't change something for the better. And I don't even wanna think about burning money for nothing. So... this gold card user doesn't care. And I wish I had more than two middle fingers to celebrate this event properly. Happy anniversary, Kinkoid. I'll wait for the revival of those four girls. If there is no revival, I'll just act as if they don't exist. Good job.
  6. Ah, sorry. I must have forgotten about this. Good to know that this isn't new. Strange that I have experienced this part of the market bug only now, though. 🤔
  7. Hmm, the market bug (or bugs? maybe there is more than one) just got even more annoying for me. I found out that the ''cursor jumps back to the first item'' problem usually happens to me when the market screen hasn't fully loaded. So the easy fix was to wait a few seconds longer before I did anything. But two days ago I noticed a new quirk. When I go to the boosters tab and try to equip a booster, the cursor sometimes seems to jump back (or probably still is there) to the first equipment item in my inventory and I equip it. Unknowingly. Because there is no visual cue. Probably also works with the books/gifts tabs. The first time this happened, I thought I've made an error I just can't remember. But today it was very clear that it wasn't just a funny misclick. I was puzzled as to why my character stats weren't as high as they used to be and tried to find out if something was wrong with one of the boosters. Until I saw that I've accidentally equipped weak clothing stuff again.
  8. There are probably better ways but basically I had ''my harmony | opponent's harmony | number of my fighting rounds | number of opponent's fighting rounds (usually one less) | my bonuses (2% * physical girls in the team + 7% for having over 100 in my harem) | opponent's bonuses (physical girls + estimated bonus for physical girls in the harem) | my expected criticals | opponent's expected criticals | my critical hits | opponent's critical hits''. Except for the values in the ''expected'' columns - and maybe the number of opponent's fighting rounds - I've had to type in everything manually. So as Ravi-Sama said, that's super tedious (but I was guarding a pigeon's nest all week long so I didn't have much else to do ). Tell me when you find a method that is a little bit more timesaving. But I advise against the whole plan to collect data yourself. Except when you tend to have fun with trivial numbers. Lots of them. Which... isn't as bad as it may sound. I think. Btw - as soon as I stopped counting, the RNG pressed the doom button again. He does this on purpose, I swear. 🤨
  9. @Pelinor O~kay... so I did my little experiment last week, watched every fight (312 in total) from beginning to end and took notes. And even calculated right this time. There weren't many extreme results - boo! And no ''10 consecutive critical hits in the first round for the opponent'' either. That's what's usually driving me crazy because it isn't as rare as it should be. No, it was all pretty average and I even had the impression that I got lucky more often than not. In the end I had 534 critical hits. The expected value was 535.4 - spot-on. My opponents had 415 critical hits with an expected value of 388.8. That's slightly unlucky but not suspicous. My amount of ''unnecessary'' critical hits in the last round (except when the additional healing lets me win one extra point) was disproportionately high, but - as far as I can tell from the very low sample size - not significantly high. Gotta repeat this and collect some more data. Especially on the last round hits. For now I didn't find anything scandalously wrong with the RNG. At least no recognizable pattern whatsoever. And I've watched almost 4000 fighting rounds. Because I'm really that stupid. But for the next two weeks I'm definitely out. I need the meager remains of my concentration for RL stuff.
  10. The last few hours none of my rivals got any points! Can't believe this held. The result is my fifth consecutive Top4. No AMEs, no refills. Congratulations to @Satellizerwho started late but managed to beat @Troctout by 73 points.
  11. EDIT: (my former calculation was total bs... I definitely need more sleep than 4 hours per day, sorry) Yes, in the long run it should make a significant difference. I guess that's all there is to say.
  12. Hmm, all 6 of the 99 girls that I didn't already have are in the Pachinko. So I only have Shaman Gwenaelle on a boss and 8 girls currently in the Pachinko (those 6 + Office Kioko + Corrupted Stacy). I think I'll refrain from using any orbs. The chances aren't high enough that I get Kioko and not just girls that I can get way cheaper from Mythic Pachinko or Orgy Days somewhere in the future. ;( But I love the two new entrants. So, no need to whine. And if I'm really lucky, Office Kioko will be a permanent addition to the Pachinko pool. I keep my fingers crossed.
  13. The expected result for a roll of a six-sided die is a 3.5 - but I've never rolled a 3.5! Not very helpful, sorry. What I want to say is: Don't get mad, extremes happen, everyone experiences it to approximately the same degree. Especially the last thought helps me a lot when I get really bad results. This guy I desperately try to keep behind me in the league? He gets those ugly results, too! Another hopefully helpful thought: When the expected score is close to 25, the real results can swing down way more than they can go up. So there's a lot of ''bad beat'' potential but no result that could be considered extremely lucky. Yeah, I know you know all that. That's not the point. But somehow you have to get this information from your prefrontal cortex to the more primitive regions of your brain and... feel it. The only other option is to keep being frustrated by such vanities. In my book this isn't worth it. If it's any consolation - just a few minutes ago I fought an opponent with exactly half of my harmony stat (85.6k vs 42.8k). First round: 3-0 critical hits. Second round: 0-5. Happens. If you throw 5 dice, sometimes all of them just show 1s and 2s. Even when they aren't biased. This isn't too spectacular (don't walk into the same trap as the mentioned Civilization players). For the number fetishist in me it's even mildly amusing. Things it isn't: serious. Something personal. Something that affects my league performance in the long run.
  14. I, too, am glad that we finally get another submissive 5-star girl. And there's nothing more fitting like the Goddess of the Wind! You know, like in the old phrase: ''submissive as the wind''. Seriously, I like the art very much. Thanks for that! But wasn't there any other girl in the pipeline that would be a better choice for the ''submissive'' element? All balancing reasoning aside - this is even worse than Red Battler being an exhibitionist.
  15. Okay, yes - rubberband AI is a third category, I guess. Didn't include that because this isn't really cheating for a predetermined player. And probably already a little bit too sophisticated for a game like Hentai Heroes. We are not really in disagreement here. This is how it usually works. At least for players on top of the food chain. A lucky victory can be way more visual than an unlucky loss of points when you have a weaker battle team. We should consider that. The other thing is... my brain tends to jump at ''unfair'' advantages for me way faster than at disadvantages**. This is why I could tell you roughly how many times I got lucky during the last few months while I completely forgot about any outrageous bad luck. Or why I have a sense for streaks of good luck that aren't very visible. Like when I get 10x25 points while it should have been only 8 or 9. And, yes, that's the opposite of what brains usually (and for good reasons) do. I repeat - we are not in disagreement about the general concept of ''noticing and remembering bad stuff better than good stuff''. Doesn't mean I'm right in this specific case. Far from it. And if I'd have to choose, I'd always trust Rarum's numbers more than my mostly casual impressions that are based on what might have been just a short but very unlucky streak last year. I see several ways in which those impressions could have been twisted besides the usual emotional reactions. But I noticed funny results in league fights (that are maybe not very visible to the top dogs) for quite a long time now and this thread is reason enough for me to take a closer look again. That's all. **(ah, the innumerable groans of teammates, when I told the referee why we really, really shouldn't get this penalty/free kick/whatever 😅)
  16. Mmh, depends. As we all know, a lot of game AIs cheat because they would otherwise be no match for human players (especially in strategy games). Less common but not unheard-of is the mentioned Sid-Meier-approach to cheat in the favor of the player. I tend to be pretty harsh on any kind of cheating, especially if it is to the advantage of me or my team. But I try to be forgiving if it is for the sake of a better game experience. If Calvinball taught us anything, it's: fun > rules. And thanks @Rarum- this is of course much better than my little 2-week-experiment and some rudimentary tracking of my fight results after that. But now I really want to know if my impressions (and my few numbers) are so far from reality. I'm still not fully convinced, because tracking your expected score could be misleading when you're dominating most of your opponents like you do. Even I get full points against some players despite having bad luck. So this doesn't say much about how many crits you and your opponents did. Starting tomorrow I'll try to watch all my fights in full length again (urgh!) to record all the critical hits and compare them to the expected ones. At least it's just tedious, not overly complicated.
  17. The calculation Liliat posted is of course correct... in theory. But meanwhile I'm pretty sure, there's some kind of defender-bonus in the leagues since the introduction of ''BDSM''. Yes, improbable results happen more often than most people think (who usually have a very poor grasp of probabilities**). And if you've played millions of Poker hands, thousands of Yahtzee games and a lot of other luck based games like me, you've seen it all. That said - the frequency with which bad results happen in league fights seems way too high. I'm with you. I once even took a closer look at this phenomenon (for 2 weeks I watched every league fight from beginning to end) and found that I lost points in the three-digit range every season just because of ''bad luck''. But even if I hadn't done that, just watching my opponents starting a fight with a critical hit many times in a row (while I don't) or how often I get a 0-3/0-4 against players with very low harmony compared to the amount of fights where I get really lucky... well, you get the gist. The thing is, even if I'm right, it doesn't matter and I don't care. It might be frustrating from time to time, but if it's real it definitely happens to everyone. Otherwise I wouldn't stand a chance in the leagues. And if there really is some kind of hidden harmony boost for the defending player, it could even benefit weaker players a little bit and prevent the strongest players from getting almost perfect scores too easily. Maybe that was the intention? **(Sid Meier has a funny little anecdote about this in his autobiography. Long story short: In the end he had to adjust the probabilities in Civilization Revolution because players were constantly angry and didn't understand how they could lose a fight with something like a 75% winning chance. ''75 is a higher number than 25!!! The §$#&% computer is cheating!!!'' ... so he taught his game how to cheat - in favor of the player, so that the probabilities felt right)
  18. Don't worry about me, I don't use AMEs. So I won't be a hard opponent at all. And, yeah, I know about ''defence teams''. Hey, mine currently consists of some very weak ''summer girls''. Recently I went full@jelom, who once said: [...] the important part in leagues is how many points you can get, not trying to deny some points (15 at most) [...] and the rest of the players are not frustrated in leagues by being unable to win over high level players. I like this mindset a lot. So I'm trying to have a different themed pseudo-defence team every few weeks now. If only one of my hundred opponents has fun because he sees some different girls than the usual 5- and 6-star monsters, it was totally worth it. And if someone's idea of fun is getting 3x25 points - that's fine with me, too. (and I guess sometimes it's hard to catch me unboosted, so there's also a little bit of atonement in this)
  19. Heh, yeah. But there was a strange refill-mania going on in the Top15. Five players had basically done all their fights at least 2 days early. What was that? Maybe several people recognizing this as a very weak league, aiming for their first Top4? Anyway, congratulations to @amp_99(who instead did a lot of his fights in the last hours) - 8th place was his personal best till now. 4th is fabulous! Congratulations to @DvDivXXX, too, of course. Oh, and sorry @HornyCat btw. Last week i said that I don't see any known names in the league except for DvDivXXX. Must have overlooked you somehow. Well, 4th Top4 for me in a row. No matter the circumstances, I probably have to accept that I'm not too weak for these placings anymore. And if I subtract all handicaps out, I can even affirm that ''2.87 AM boosters'' (see DvDivXXX's post) might not have been enough to beat me (no, really!). I'm looking forward to future encounters, when we both are at our full power. This will be fun. :0) Next week, I'm in a league with @Troctout. And despite quite a few strong contenders for the Top4, I allegedly have the second highest ''Total Power''. I still don't know how this is calculated and how meaningful this figure is. Gotta read up on it. But I expect my funny streak to finally end after this season.
  20. I could get Magical Noemy, too. My fights with free combativity went pretty well - I had almost 30 shards after only 150 fights! But as soon as I started refilling, an ugly bad luck streak happened. The next 150 fights I had only 1 hit. Just as I thought that I wouldn't get Noemy for less than 900 shards, the next good luck streak kicked in (4 drops with 10 fights were nice) and I'm very happy that I could convince her to join my harem with 732 fights and around 8000 koban, including sandalwood boosters. Could have been much worse.
  21. I often get the impression that it's good for me that I don't look at feet. Considering that this problem gets mentioned quite frequently. Not only do I have some kind of anti-foot-fetish (gimme girls in boots!... what? no, I don't really like boots, but they do a good job obscuring those ugly, ugly feet!), I'm generally quite undemanding when it comes to art. One of the few things that do make me furious is when an artist gives a girl those duck face / blow-up doll lips. Like they did with Talila in her side quest. The result always borders on an uncanny valley effect. The girl usually doesn't look like herself anymore, it doesn't really fit manga art style... and I just find it icky, despite liking full lips in reallife. And Magical Noemy kinda falls into this category, too. Even if it's not that extreme. But she's still way too... lippy? Is that a word? But as I said - I'm somewhat undemanding, I like the character, the art is very colorful - hooray for that... so I can overlook this. But of course it would be better if I wouldn't have to.
  22. Finally a mythic Noemy. Okay, if I could choose, I'd rather have a mythic Tiana (she really deserves some high quality art... and yes, I'm a Daisy maniac since the 90s ). But Noemy is a great addition to the list of Mythics, too. So - yay! I'm extremely happy with this choice.
  23. 153 orbs for 4 girls in June. And not even the ones I wanted. At least Corrupted Stacy seems to stay in Pachinko now, so I can get her anytime. 29 - Jessica Ryan 32 - Desert Dalila 19 - Boku Mi Maï 5 - Richelle Ryan (68 - no girl) Btw - how the §$#&% can some players still pull off regular hits with <10 orbs and drop rates around 1/15 while others seem to be stuck with 30+ orbs per girl? Is it possible that the drop rate also depends on the size of your harem? EDIT: Hmm, after searching the last few pages of this thread, I don't think I see a pattern. Maybe it's really just luck. Sorry for my brain fart.
  24. Used 205 orbs to get 2 girls in June. (111 - Carnival Gossy, 94 - Fuckland Fanny & Fione)
  25. Mendokusai... Nah, really - have fun with your first place. I think I'll bring my lazy B- game, like last week. If it's enough for a tough league, it's probably enough for a weak one. And if it isn't, it isn't. I have nothing to lose (except for my 1 AME that I will save up for a better opportunity). But if my ridiculous luck with Top4 places goes on, I'll finally be able to boost my club bonuses again. Without risking to miss out on mythic girl revivals. Maybe we'll battle for #1 sooner than expected. 😜
