  1. Hopefully when this is fixed later there will be compensation for all the event chests people unfairly lost out on too.
  2. In the recent patch there was a change that made it so that girl shards were distributed more evenly among participants in club champion events. Previously, if you were #1 you could expect 15-25 shards per event completion, whereas 10th place might only get 1-5 shards. Changing this to flatten the results made sense, because the "whales" who contributed the most would eventually stop participating after getting their girl and things would really slow down for everyone else the rest of the month. While this egalitarian change was a good idea in theory, I'm starting to think it was an over-correction. Now, you basically get 4-5 shards whether you are first place or whether you are 15th place and are barely contributing. Once participants realized this, the heavy lifters basically quit the heavy lifting, because they were given zero incentive to do so. Whereas the previous system did have some issues, at least you could expect a champion to be beaten and reset every couple days in an active club. Now, it's like a week or more to get there. And since you need to beat champions 20-25 times to achieve 100 shards in the current rewards structure, in what is a 30-31 day time period, this is obviously a huge problem and makes obtaining the girls almost impossible for anyone. A purely flat reward system could work, but you would have to nerf champions pretty massively so that they would be defeated almost daily even with way fewer tickets. And even then, it would require constant daily activity to achieve 100 shards by the end of the month. If it was my call, I would reinstate the previous reward structure, but also maybe nerf the champions health later in the month to compensate for the heaviest lifters leaving. Anyway, it's something that needs to be looked at. Right now I don't think anyone is going to be getting those girls with 4-5 shards per week.
  3. For sure. Though if their intention was to get people to play champions because of this, it definitely needs a major rethink.
  4. Edit: Peeping Malina is obtainable in pachinko. The following is an explanation of why the champions method of getting her isn't feasible: Peeping Malina is obtained by winning segments from a Whaty in the champion section. Each segment win takes several tickets and time/kobans, and then when that section is won, assuming all prizes are equally likely, you'd have only a one in seven (14.2%) chance to win 20 shards of her. Then, you'd have to wait 24 hours for the next chance. You also can't win her from the last segment, so to obtain her without paying the 400 koban skip price, you'd have to win the 14% roll every single day to just barely get her. The odds of this happening in the 8 day time frame naturally (without expensive skips) are worse than 1 in 10,000. Even if you brute force your way to doing it by paying the 400 koban reset price, as well as the null segment at the end, You'd need to win 35 eligible segments on average to get to 100 shards, which counting the null segments at the end you'd be forced to do, would equal 43-44 segments. If it takes 20 tickets and 400 kobans per segment, that would work out to 800+ tickets and 17,000+ kobans. The Koban part alone is more than you would pay to get a mythic girl. And that's just with AVERAGE luck. Can you imagine blowing like 1000 tickets and tons of kobans and being stuck short of the goal with no tickets left because of bad RNG? Until this is fixed to be sane, I would recommend not even trying this, unless you have a LOT of tickets, and feel lucky. Proposed solution: IMO, the easiest fix here is to just make her worth 100 shards when you roll her. You'd still need 8 total segment wins (counting the null one) to get her with average luck. IMO, it would still just be better to get her in pachinko, but at least it's thinkable for people who have a lot of tickets.
  5. To the powers that be: I am on a special account that (long story short) is 100% unable to progress past pvp rank 1. Because I cannot progress, and because I have a lvl 450 player that always wins 1st place in my bracket, it is literally impossible for me to achieve the girl even if I finished 2nd place all six weeks. I'd end up at 90x shards every time. This really sucks and I was wondering, am I just screwed here? Since there are no more dating tokens, I don't think I'll ever get one of these pvp girls ever, even if I tried my hardest. Obviously, I represent probably less than 1% of the player base in my situation. With that said, I'm sure there are casual or low level players who will consistently come up just short and not get these girls. It just seems a little nuts to me that someone could be a top 15 finisher or even the #2 finisher consistently all six weeks and not get the girl... Ever. IMO there should be something done to help players who aren't quite able to get there. Maybe an extra week, two weeks, or something. The dating token system was perfect for easily fixing problems like these, btw.
  6. I thought of two things that would make this change much more palatable and would be relatively easy fixes. 1- Make the "free" awakening tiers mirror the players level. Currently tiers 50-250 are free upgrades. However if you are higher than lvl 250 you have to pay a "tax" just to get girls to your level like you could before. This is very unpleasant and unfair to the players. The solution? If a player reaches 300, then add the 300 bracket to the list of free ones. If they get to 350, add 350 and so on. This way you are only paying a fee for the levels your weren't getting before. No feeling of getting "taxed." 2- Remove the annoying and unnecessary hurdles of lvling a new lvl 1 character by removing the free tiers from the checkpoint system entirely (or rather, make them automatic without asking every time). Currently, if I get a new lvl one character, not only do I have to feed it books like before, but i have to do a very painful and pointless "awakening check" for every 50 levels, which is both free and uneccessary. If all the awakenings are free up to a certain level, then why even ask if we want to upgrade? Of course we'd upgrade! Don't waste our time and make leveling slow and painful to do. The game should never ask us if we want a free awakening upgrade, it should be automatic/skipped.
  7. I try to not ever come here to comment, the only time previously I commented was for the mythic books/affection change which was a pretty big disaster IMO when it first came out (and still isn't ideal). I think this change is equally disastrous so I felt I had to speak up here. Let me preface by saying that unlike a lot of people here I'm actually okay with infinite leveling systems, at least in theory, even as someone with over 800 girls to take care of. But if it adds pain points to the game, that's a deal breaker. And unfortunately, this change is adding a lot of pain. And pain means people quit, which nobody wants. Currently I'm level 372, if I wanted to lvl a new girl to my level, it would take a matter of seconds to use all the books I have to get there. But not any more. Now with the awaken system i have to "authorize" a level cap increase every 50 levels, each time having to endure a lengthy / painful load and then reload screen. Even setting aside that I cant even level girls to my level anymore without paying a tax, the multiple load screens are just a killer. It used to take 15 seconds to level up a girl, now it takes about 120 seconds. It's not a small jump in inconvenience. It's massive. IMO, the awakened system should operate independently of girl level. It should be a second set of power levels instead. Same result, with so much less pain to deal with. I do like that you guys are trying to find a new currency to reward for contests and events, it was needed in my opinion. I just think the current implementation of that idea is absolutely horrible.
  8. I'm not even against pay to win, but this change is bad even for whales. And having to carefully not click two items every time adds a pain point to the game for everyone else. Make mythic affection items very rare, and make them cost Yemen. That way when you see one, you feel excitement and not dread. Shouldn't that be how we feel when we see them? You can add an extra vendor that sells them for kobans too, for the whales who are also bad at math.
  9. There's been a lot of changes I didn't like in the past, but this is the first time I felt I had to make a post on the forums to say something. I'm not a strictly free to play guy. I get seasonal pass sometimes, and have purchased Kobans with real money on occasion to afford certain events. I'm not a FTP purist, but this is just bad for game, simple as that. Currently, there is a heavy imbalance between Yemen and Koban generation. My harem generates almost $5 mil yemen at max capacity, but I don't click it because the 12 kobans are more valuable. Without even trying to farm money, from just playing the game as intended, I'm in the billions of Yemen currently. As the original post points out, the new system is actually dramatically worse for Koban economy, but that's not the only problem. It also makes it harder to spend Yemen, which makes us care about that currency even less. It also means that when i buy books and gifts, i have to purchase very carefully to avoid disaster, which can be tough as the store often glitches. Before the store glitch was just annoying, but now it could fuck me out of days worth of Koban earnings. So not only does it make buying with yemen slower (less available per refresh), it also makes it painful and risky. In short, this really is the worst change I've seen in almost 2 years of participation. It's a shame too because I think this could have been an amazing thing if it had been done with yemen cost, even if that yemen cost was higher per xp than yellow and purple items. I'm all for trying to get people to buy more kobans, but don't do it in a way that makes the game painful to play!
