An Unlikely Loss?

I was quite surprised at this result from a leagues fight.

 

On each go, the loss was substantial, with ghyn having about 100k ego left.    I would have thought my much higher stats and much higher unity would at least make it a close fight.

 

What do you all think?  Is jacking up your class stat the way to go?  Is gyhn a mutant monster with an outsized ego?

Your loss seems quite likely to me.

Comparing the actual stats, your base damage per hit is 54.9k - 18.1k = 36.8k
Their base damage per hit is 68.9k - 21.7k = 47.2k

They are almost certainly using boosters (can't judge which ones by eye, but still), they have a mythic alpha compared to your legendary one. Looking at the raw values of HC/Charm/KH is much less effective than comparing your offense, defence and ego in terms of judging the outcome of a battle.

I'm not certain what you mean by unity though. Perhaps you mean harmony? In which case theirs gets increased by 20% due to the dominance scheme, and all that does is give you a slightly better chance of activating your special ability compared to them. Definitely not something that increases your chance of victory when they're that much stronger than you.

Yop. If you had the HH++ script installed, this would show up as a very clear guaranteed loss, no doubt about it.

You can also tell just by glancing at the relevant stats as George did. The fact that you're looking at this picture and your conclusion is that you have "much higher stats" means you have a lot to learn on battle mechanics and how classes work in this game. It's the other guy that clearly has much higher stats than you (where it counts). He's also KH with 455k Ego, meaning he heals up for over 45k HP per proc of his class skill.

You seem to be giving Harmony a lot more credit than it deserves, but even then, the difference between yours and his is marginal. In the actual battle screen, this would translate to you having like a 30% chance for a special hit vs his 20%, at most. That barely makes a difference at all.

Edit: I wasn't 100% sure so I double-checked Tano's base main stat. She's another old-school 5.3. So all three of your girls are weaker for your class than your opponent's Beta girl is for his (let alone his Mythic Alpha). I can understand if you somehow missed out on all of the many stronger CH girls released over the past few months, but you should at least have Shtupra by now? She's better than your entire team.

The reason I think a loss was unlikely is that Ego Reassurance typically gives Charm players significantly more Ego during battles than the base stat.  True, it's sort of random, so I see a good deal of variability in battle results.

@MisterCat Ah. My bad. I assumed you had at least some basic notions. Instead you seem to be completely clueless and, even worse, you think you know stuff that you absolutely don't. So this was just a waste of our time, then.

That and the lack of even a basic "thank you" to either of our replies before you jumped right into trying to get even more info out of us... Yeah, I think we're done here. Enjoy your D2 struggles at level 425... But don't bother us with it any further. Cheers.

Not that it matters, you'd need many crits against this player to win, he has much better stats than you.

P.D: You'd do better using Taria as your alpha instead of Tano against KH players.

@GeorgeMTOAnd that's a shame, 'cuz this is a great thread.  Most don't need it , they figure it out themselves soon while playing the game, it's part of the fun of a new game, but some don't do that. They are the forever unlucky ones and they go to chat and forum and whine about it.  So while I fully understand why you and every mod in every forum on internet feel that it's ... 

Makes great threads for chatters like me who likes to share knowledge to other chatters in club , cuz you mods are experts on forum hence experts at game hence masters at explaining game in good speakwords like I'm not that good at sometimes... just copy and paste what you say makes good clubs. 

I whish you would do it as often as possible, as pratice makes perfect

Great site, use it a lol. However, it's just formulas and while that's what I need, people who whine in chat sometimes needs actual figures and well used words that without wall of text explains them. While I'm usually fairly good at it, if I try and make an effort, I'm lazy by nature and thus a huge fan of copy and paste.

How do I say: "long time ago" I also only looked at a page with dry numbers. 

I understood basically: girls needs to be my class - and when I have same attack, then defense against attacked class is important. (a while later the game provides this information by blurring out the irrelevent def).

lastly I started to play "more serious". That said, I installed the HH++ script.

Now I even went further and wrote my own quick'n'dirty simulation - because with the script I started to iterate through 7 equipment set ups. (6 multi down to 6 mono). For 3 girls. screenshotting every step in between. Now it is just one click that seems close enough (somehow I miss the proper floor and round and maybe even retrieval, I'm like 10 ego-points away).

 

What I like to say: yes, it is a wall of formulas. 

No, there is no other way around - we talk about software which uses "trivial math" and (besides bugs) does not accept anything else. 

So formulas is all where it goes to when I want to understand "the finer details" beyond the basics.

If I copy and paste from George, with only a little easy edit, above instead of pasting a formulas or formulate the words myself I get...

that is your entry point to the finer details - then you go with def, and excitement and ego and harmony and girl values  ... (order unintentional) ... and you end up on the formulas...

It sounds like some high end stuff that is probably beyond my current level of play but I would be interested in seeing if it could help me. Just for clarity, I'm in D1 trying to finish 16th-30th each week, currently using the 15x button (yes I know I'm lazy) which so far has worked. When I solo fight I can usually predict outcomes but anything that helps understand the mechanics would be welcomed. Thank you

It's useful for everyone. I highly recommend it, mainly because it saves a lot of time/clicks. It's no cheat as you can do all thing manually ie use the wiki and it's formulas and stats.

@windia being a old fogey I'm not very au fait with these new fangled systems. I've added Tampermonkey to my browser, and downloaded the zip for HH++ script. Now I'm stuck ! Do I need to save the download somewhere special ? Or will Tampermonkey just find it no matter where I unpack it ? Thank you

ok, I've tampered with my monkey .... oh hang on that's not relevant ! ... so I've copied the wall of text into Tampermokey and saved it. Checked and it's still there so I've done something right at least. But I'm stuck at the update bit. Can't see anything on Github page or in Tampermonkey that relates to Updating.

ok just realised I needed to delete the "sample" part of a new user script so now showing as "Hentai Heroes ++" but it is greyed out as it has not been executed yet.
