If we assume they spent ~800 CP to get Elder Magus Bianca. That'd give them a 160k score. Then, if they made a terribly weak CC team, and used up ~511 tickets, they'd gain another 460k score. A 620k total score isn't impossible, but definitely annoying, if you expected a relaxed day 3. I had opponents go overboard, but it's usually a matter of playing chicken between the 100k+ people until someone goes all-in and puts 200k+ on the table. And then if someone calls, it can escalate further from there. ^^ As of this writing, I had been sitting pretty at 116k for a bit while #2 was barely above 50k. Now a new challenger enters and doubled the pot already. The problem with this kind of push and shove is that it's only kind of worth it overall if I get the AM booster. 100k is more than costly enough for just the top 4 rewards. ------ Edit: Hmm... I should probably look up a few time zones, before deciding on this one. Oh, okay. So assuming this isn't VPN shenanigans and my opponents are in their home country at this time (not a given in the middle of summer after all)... Reset time which is 13:00 for me, will be 19:00 for the Taiwan challenger, 18:00 for the potential Vietnamese contestant, and around the same time of day as me for those from Germany and Senegal (one hour earlier for the latter). So... If the two guys from the early evening work late or are chilling at the beach somewhere with their loved ones, and the two closer to me are both on a tight deadline and can't take a lunch break... I should be golden. ^^ Assuming I manage to be at my desk before reset time myself, which is more likely tomorrow but not guaranteed either. Yeah, I think I'll check on this round. Yeah, once you have to use 70+ tickets, assuming you spent kobans to speed it up, then you might as well just buy the AM booster instead. Since, it takes ~178 tickets on avg to get 1st on day 3, you're really just buying an AM booster, and getting the 150 omni-gems, 200k GXP, & 1x MPx3 as a bonus. You could actually buy 2 AM boosters for the cost of using up 180 tickets (1080 kos). I used ~120 tickets early last time, and only got 2nd place, while everyone else had relaxed brackets. I think the strategy should be to check the 1st place score in the last 1/2 hour, then decide if it's worth it or not, to spend the kobans/tickets. Julius Fox Posted August 4, 2022 Share Posted August 4, 2022 After a few months of CbCs now I've come to the conclusion that Day 2 is usually the only day I have a realistic chance of winning. There's just always someone willing to spend more Pachinko orbs than me on Day 1, and I don't spend kobans on Champions Rest which puts winning Day 3 out of reach. It also doesn't help that reset time is middle of the night for me, so I'm always in danger of being sniped even if I have a sizable lead. This week I was in 1st by about 100,000 on both Day 1 and Day 2 but got sniped both times while I was asleep. 😢 At least the rewards for placing 2-4 are still really good in this contest, and even 5-15 is nothing to scoff at. And there have been several times where I've placed 5-15 on Day 1 and then Top 4 on Day 2, which gave me 50 flowers in addition to the other prizes (I'm always excited for extra gifts with all these affection-starved Mythics in my harem!). 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm in a bracket w/ @Liliat atm lol, but I'm not a threat. I'm being frugal w/ kobans, and don't have a lot of tickets anyway (~150), so don't worry. I'm just aiming for top 15. Around 160 max is usually a deserved Top 4 for anyone without losing money. This guy was just doing a 600.000+ in the middle of the day, that's beyond the reach of normal players. That's like the Diablo Immortal guy from yesterdays headlines walking in and lifting his middle finger against the plebs. However, I'm 800k GXP away from lvl 701, so I'll be able to spend a couple billions of gems on Day 2 really soon. Day 1 - Orbs 1st - 540k (180 orbs) 4th - 294k (98 orbs) 15th - 66k (22 orbs) 30th - 25k (~8 orbs) Finished 9th, w/ a 108k score. I think I just used 31 Epx1s, and 5 GPx1s. Day 2 - Gems 1st - 634.44k (17.6k gems) 4th - 342.63k (9.5k gems) 15th - 77.52k (2.15k gems) 30th - 14.58k (~405 gems) Finished 8th, w/ a 239.88k score. I spent 6275 Gems awakening Radka, Noemy, Bunna, and Fabienne. Day 3 - CC Tickets 1st - 221.8k (246 tickets or 1109 CP) 4th - 79.4k (Liliat's 48 tickets & 181 CP) 15th - 20k (22 tickets or 100 CP) 30th - 11.6k (12 tickets or 58 CP) Finished 11th, w/ a 26.4k score.
