Moderator DvDivXXX Posted March 11, 2022 Moderator Share Posted March 11, 2022 To be fair, @FinderKeeper already includes the calendar in each event thread (updating it as newer versions become available), including the CE which starts on the 1st of the month. So you can still grab the calendar on the forum, it just no longer has a dedicated thread in Announcements. I definitely agree with @natstar though. It's supposed to be a regular calendar, not an advent calendar. Not every month is December, and having a bunch of placeholders at the start of each month instead of a proper calendar isn't really surprising or that useful by now. When there's a surprise or a change, why not. But regular monthly fixtures that any active player can easily guess like CE, MD, KC, OD, LC or PoA would actually benefit from being written down from day one. 6 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If this is some kind of surprise or new activity, then this can be hidden, but regular activities must be displayed. Due to some world events I have no access to Twitter. Xemnas Posted March 11, 2022 Share Posted March 11, 2022 I'll talk for me (but i think is ok to say that i talk for who uses the app like me most of the time), since when you @FinderKeeper started posting the image of the calendar in the events like you are doing now, i've been able to use the forum a lot more. There is a bug (probably) in the app, i can access the forum and write with no problems usually, but when there is a link to another conversation (like the previous method of calendar posting) the screen gets fully occupied by the link of the discussion and the only way out is to go back, without being able to comment or even give a read/reaction to all the comments. So for me (and probably whoever uses the app) is way better what you are doing right now. The "lack" of the calendar in announcements is not a problem imo, since it is displayed every event thread and also it gets even posted in chit chat sometimes. If @Noacc is okay with it, and if he doesn't have the time to do it himself mods could take turns posting and updating it when we can. I don't have much time to reliably handle it (for personal reasons) but altogether we should be more than able to keep it up on a monthly basis. We don't need to make it a monthly thread. Just some locked and stickied thread named "Calendar" which any of us could update. The point about it not being a monthly thread is an excellent one.
