Paltry Side Quests

I can see why the Adventures are limited and rolled out slowly, since there is a story to write and draw and players shouldn't move faster than a certain pace. However, the Side Quests have no such limitation. Why do they spend so many steps with 2 or 3 Energy spent? Instead of blowing 60 energy on a Champions ticket, why not make the steps in the Side Quests cost much more energy so the quests lasts longer and absorb more of our continuous generation of energy? It would take no more work on the part of the Artist and Writer to just increase the numbers. I probably spend over 70% of my energy on Tickets. It is very annoying. What is the point of Side Quests if not a place to dump energy?
