When a girl reaches levels 250, 300, 350, 400... 700, in order to level her up, you need to "awaken" her, and for that, you need gems. Note: You need to have a certain amount of girls at that level, in order to awaken the highest level. For example: If you're strongest girls are level 400, you need to have a certain amount of girls in level 400, before you can awaken them and level them up beyong that level.
