A team event is always a bad idea, because some people would be not interested or not available, different players have different play styles, some play hard and some play relaxed, the hard will push the relaxed and both will be frustrated.

And we lose a well established event liked by the players.

The "WBC" was active for 3 or 4 days at test-server.

For Rewards you need to gain enough points for yourself (It was 500.000 points at test, but KK announced to reduce to 400.000 points at llve for the first reward) and all players together need to reach a specific amount of points per reward, calculated by the amount of active players at the server at the time, the event starts. Only if both parts are fullfilled, you can get the reward.

For the ending timer on the not yet started event, KK probably didn't account for 2 WBT type events running in parallel or close to one another.
On this point, I'm surprised it's "correctly displayed" on top of the WBT one and not behind or something weird.

I think KK has again succeded in tricking us into something that doesn't sound too bad at first, but than shows how bad programming of the visual display indicates something different than really is requiered.

When I saw this graph i thought 100k isn't that much, ok let's do it.
But apparently those are needed for the first step, who knows if it stays with 100k for each, or if it will even increase every tier.

Why can't they ever do something right at the first attempt?

I really have no intention of spending that many gems (or what ever resource) trying to get 400K points. I think i will take 25 or maybe 50 shards and then grind the rest out in Labyrinth or sultry mysteries.

I did the math spending gems. 400k points with perfect score and no bonus on hard difficulty giving 14000 points ends up being 57 143 gems. 

The reward tier will give you  400 all-gems which is a slap in the face.

What Kinkoid does not understand is that people who have played the game for a while are recourse concious. There are many events through the months and each one of them requires quite number of different resources. What this is, it's just a place to drain them, not actually to gain anything useful.

I have a feeling that devs have built quite a nice frame, but does not know where to route it. And so comes all these shitty ideas and new types of events so as to make the game more interesting but in reality just making another cow to milk.

Tried it on GH version and hate it as much as the other type of the event like this. Won't be playing it at all.

First Impression of WBC: very bad 👎

You have to reach 100k points for 25 shards. If you use gems you need around 14K, but don't worry, here is the "long" and "generous" community bonus (3% for 3 minutes) you can activate once for each Tier reached to help you and everybody else.

And you must have faith that the rest of players will add up until Tier 1 (105M points or 1050 players reaching 100K in HH, 16.7M in CxH or 167 players reaching 100K, so about ¿5% of the player base?).

And the rewards, apart of the girl shards, are meager, 20 tickets, 1 EPx1 orb (3 if you have the girl) and 100 multigems (800 in total) per tier.

An excessive drain of resources for so little reward.

Being the first time the event appeared, I have played for Tier 1 to get the gist of it and to be able to properly evaluate it, but I will probably won't play it again unless WBC is significatively revamped.

The biggest problem is that if there is not enough critical mass of players going for the girl shards and reaching the community tier goals, their efforts and resources spent are wasted. This time I guess at least community Tier 1 will be reached easily (I am not so sure about Tier 4), but for future iterations of the event, less players will try it.

And remember, we have lost Legendary Days for THIS. An easy event where you could get a 5 star girl just for 2k-3k kobans. 😭

Nothing excessive here, Greedoid is just trying to drain resources that whales don't pay for yet. When it's properly drained, expect the amount of gems required to awaken girls increase or some other shit like that. Maybe level 800 introduction.

Same shit - it was too easy, whales didn't have to pay much to win. Axed.

 

It's been pretty obvious which direction this game is taking for a while now. It's just taking it faster now.

Exactly, there is no balance in devs minds what does it take to get one guy or another. They alao don't realize that asking any kind of kobans for 3* guys is just ridiculous, because at some point players may have enougv 5*, so what's the point of any 3* character then? There is quite significant disbalance in all these mechanics. And it might be some former decision effect, but thry sereiously need to rethink rewarding side of any event and item.
