Anon_sama
I came back to the game about 18 months ago now (unfortunately on a new account since I couldn't remember my old username/password/email address from like 2017). I played casually/F2P then and I'm playing casually/F2P now. The main difference is that I've stuck with it and accumulated knowledge unlike before. It was only a few days ago that I reached level 500. So I've decided to make a new topic here to brag and document my journey all in one place instead of occasional posts in Chit Chat and elsewhere about it. Maybe I'll eventually link/reference my historical posts here, but that seems like a lot of work. 1
Anon_sama
Retrospective and/or recent accomplishments for many parts of the game: Story has been great recently! I finished Digisekai and am on Stairway to Heaven. I now have access to more Love Raids, accordingly. Speaking of Love Raids, I relatively recently realized how to incorporate them into my gameplay such that they weren't a burden. This has freed up a ton of combativity and made them something to look forward to rather than a chore. I'm very comfortable with Seasons and how to maximize my wins/rewards/etc., so nothing worth noting here. I've been staying in the 21st-30th bracket in D2 of League so I could guarantee my ability to get League wins for events/goals/etc., but I've been needing fewer and fewer of them to get to and stay at 21st. Once I had the idea of making deliberately weaker teams, I realized I should instead promote to D3 (intentionally this time :P). Since this month's ME doesn't reward League wins, it's the perfect time to experiment with D3. I've also been playing without boosters for a while (except Sandalwood Perfume), so that may be something that changes, too. I might have to start thinking about team-building, too 😩 With Level 500 comes access to Hard Laby, so I'm enjoying Laby again. Sweeps took a lot of the fun out of Laby, so having to rebuild my sweeps has been great! (Aw, looks like my recent comment about my first Hard Laby run was deleted. Oh well.) Here is my Laby retrospective from last month. My Laby retrospective comment also details a lot of my experience playing with a harem that completely skips using GS5 for PvP and PvE. I'm probably going to still skip GS5 for now. Maybe my time in D3 will change my decision, but not having to think about it has been nice. PD has been a welcome addition to the game. It has been fun optimizing my teams for XP/Aff gains while still getting wins. I'm currently on floor 1756 of Pantheon, but I don't try to advance now that I've hit the combativity rewards.
Anon_sama
Out-of-Game Accomplishments/Contributions and Miscellaneous: I've made myself a regular presence here on the forums I've read almost all the wonderful guides, topics, and posts on the forums. I joined the HH Discord somewhat recently; turns out it's not the hellhole people here said it was. But it is very busy, so I don't really check it much anymore (I neurotically read everything, so it's easier for me to just cut it off than to keep up with it). I eventually started using scripts, finding bugs/making suggestions for them, and even contributed very minor code to Contests++ and PD Sim. Overall, this game has been a fun (re-)addition to my life. Sure, I spend a lot of time optimizing my play and warping my life around it, but at least I get to look at sexy girls while doing so

I remember intentionally playing bad or skipping League fights to avoid promotion to D3, because I was expecting to lose most of my fights there
xRob91
That was a terrible time xd, worrying about your position because everyone tried to snipe the rank that gives the best reward without promotion. One mistake and you end in hell. Or when I started going for 1st in D2 to rise my koban gain a bit, but needed to waste next week to demote because of it. Around lvl 400 I decided to try competing in D3 seriously for once and it ended so well I stayed there for good. I've seen recently some .com newcomers on discord. They started competing in D3 around lvl 450 and they are doing pretty good so I believe you also can do this Anon-sama. And if you hate the idea of optimizing your PvP team every week then try making a permanent one. After joining D3 I was using 2 teams (Virgo and green eyes, with some girls being members of both) almost all the time for 4 months and it was enough for good results. 21 hours ago, Anon_sama said: it's not the hellhole people here said it was. Discord is a perfect place when you have a question and need to get an answer ASAP. But if you want to become a regular then well... it's not for everyone. Trolling, being mean or just acting like a dick is a bread and butter there. You'll either get used to how we treat each other there or start hating that place. 😅 22 hours ago, Anon_sama said: Aw, looks like my recent comment about my first Hard Laby run was deleted. Anon_sama
Neat, I just finished Silvanus 3, so I have all villain girls through Bremen 2 8 minutes ago, xRob91 said: Trolling, being mean or just acting like a dick is a bread and butter there Oh, that's not the issue. All that is fun/funny. It's my own neurosis that drives me to read everything. 10 minutes ago, xRob91 said: And if you hate the idea of optimizing your PvP team every week then try making a permanent one. I knew I would go for a permanent team if I ever decided to do teambuilding. Deciding what trait(s) to go for made me feel like I'd optimize the fun out of the game to chase certain girls. Using autofill and making elemental teams has worked well enough. At most, I tweak like 1-2 girls for GS3. I'll see how D3 goes this month. I am very comfortably in D2 Top 4 and keep trading places with 5th. I wish I'd decided to promote like 8 hours earlier than I did. I wasted all those...(they're called what?!)...Challenge tokens 😅 16 minutes ago, xRob91 said: I asked holymolly to clear any evidence of your crime (you know what I mean). garadron
If your goal is top 15 or even top 4, you can absolutely survive with a permanent team. I used my red haired teams for years and it only recently stopped being enough to stay in top 4 or even get an occasional win on Nutaku. I then realized that I'm stupid and should go with an even more permanent, all Mythic blue eyes team and I'm back in top 4's again. Because that team not only is stronger, it's also a direct counter to my white-green hair based team lol

But even ranking 31-45 in D3 each week is kind of free if you know what you're doing and still worth more than trying to not rank up from D2 and if you rank up not playing for a week. Anon_sama Posted yesterday at 02:11 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 02:11 PM Just cleared the pool on one of my PoPs! Tickets and MyPx1 Orbs are going to be more abundant going forward. I have 100 shards left on the second permanent PoP and 170 shards left on the third.
