It is a clicker game - it is supposed to be grind, but I think it will be relatively simple to get to 5000 if you have unlocked the right perks.

What else is there to do on a clicker game except grind?

It's a way, way bigger time and effort commitment to getting the regular girls compared to all of the previous chapters. On the bright side, I think I was wrong with it still being random, so that does justify the stage requirements somewhat. My main issue is that the grind isn't fun, since most of the clicking done is forge and affection, both of which could've benefited from having a "max" option like the office (which doesn't actually max now, making the clicking even more tedious).

As with most things, it's not the the nature, it's how its implemented.

  2. So, not only do you need to reach at minimumSTAGE 5000 to get all of the girls (which by itself is going to be huge grind, even for old players), but they're still RNG? They're really trying hard to kill off the playerbase, huh?

Got Frankie about 90+ points into Chapter 5 (already had some from first 'release') so 20-ish resets

I feel like this is finally the state I would have liked the new version to release in, except remax does not seem to be working in chapter 5

They also fixed the autoskip charm (maxes out at lvl1000, 55% )

maybe fix the charms now ->  by the time you finish chapter 4, you have more mojo than you can spend, either nerf it or add some endgame consumables (10% of your historical max mojo for something that oneshots a boss or something)

Some people seem to be having some issues with remaxing, personally I don't have any. Might have something to do with emptying cache and hard reloading. I finally got Frankie after ~30 resets, and after browsing some of the older topics it seems like it's intentional. If I had to guess, they gave 1 chapter girl super low odds while the rest have medium/even odds to drop.

You mean "stage" by internships ?

I dont thing there is a maximum.

Can anyone prove me wrong ?

As long as you hit the max stage and then remax, there is no hard stage cap like there was before the super update.

  5. Chapter 5 is out, 5 more basic girls, lots more gacha girls, and some "bug fixes". As usual, no patch notes, announcements, or changelog in-game or on this forum. I also noticed that they made the girls/shop/forge/crafts buttons smaller, meaning that we might be getting an event pretty soon. 2 things I'd like to know:

    • If you've got one of the new gacha girls (and the new basic girls), how do they compare to the current rankings of best click/idle/money (post of the most recent ones here)
    • How long did it take you to get the normal (RNG) girls? Personally, I got 4 of the 5 within 30 minutes/4-5 maxing and transcending, and currently just spamming the remax to get Frankie (?)

I think the worst part about the reset wasn't the reset itself, but the piss poor quality control before launch, and mostly the abysmal communication.

This is an extremely big part of why these changes were viewed terribly. You can't just dump all these changes without any patch notes or notifications and was full of bugs and shitty performance (game was nearly impossible to play 3-5 days ago). There's no excuse for either of those two things, when you have a TEST SERVER where people gave feedback on the changes and performance of the game, and an OFFICIAL FORUM to announce the changes to everyone before they actually happen.

As for the actual changes themselves, they pretty much all make the game grindier, especially for the new players who don't have fully enhanced event/gacha girls. Percentage chance of getting girls instead of 100%, adding more things to have to farm (transcendence), and forcing constant remaxing and chapter switching all contribute to slowed progression. To high level/old players like you and me, this just means we actually have stuff to do while waiting for events, but for new players it's going to take much longer to get to where we were before the changes, and by then who knows what event girls they're going to miss out on.

  7. "Max" upgrade is still just +500, resetting is broken so you actually can't unlock all of the contact girls again (which would be much harder in current patch anyways, considering you need to reach 9.8k in a chapter), and they didn't do a full refund of chats. But hey, at least the Chapter 4 story sort of makes sense? They didn't really do much to it besides take the ending of Chapter 3 and put it in there.

To be honest, I'd be less annoyed if the devs actually communicated on this forum rather than hide on discord the entire time.

  8. I've got the same issues with the chat, harem girls, and daily missions, where it takes a good 30 seconds for my action to register. I think they're trying to "optimize" the game by not processing or loading the assets for anything until the user goes there, since when the patch initially dropped there wasn't any issues with the chat or daily missions but there was a lot bigger memory usage. They're really just trying to put bandaids on an amputation and pretending everything's good...

I have 40 girls fully unlocked before the patch. Now for each girl you have 9 chat conversations. For each conversation you need to spend maybe about 7-9 envelops. So I'll need 3240 envelops. Now it takes about 1 hour to get 1 envelop. If I don't do anything else and harvest all the envelops without missing, it will take 135 days. So 135 days to gradually retrieve all the previously accessible pictures. Does that make ANY sense? I know the affections are not lost so I don't need to refarm that. But just look how much time it takes for envelops alone. Developers should compensate in the way that you calculate how many girls and levels we have unlocked and give us the corresponding amount of envelops. There are plenty of new girls with the patch so the players of this game can continue to play. It's much better than resetting to "no pictures or scenes at all". Remember, the ultimate goal of this game is to get the pictures, not leveling up.

It's sad because during the first 8ish hours new patch was out, envelope cd was only 5 minutes before they stealth patched it (no reason why). I do have to say that I think you're slightly overestimating the number of envelopes you need, as some character conversations have less than 7, especially those at the higher affection levels.

  10. Can anyone else who's gotten to Chapter 4 say what the state of their story is? Attached is the only story thing for my Chapter 4. The popup for the next "story stage" just says to go to the next chapter, like its the ending of a chapter.

Yeah huge lag spike, and then the story felt as it went totaly bananas.

Is this the same screen for you guys?

  11. It's absolutely ridiculous that not only do they implement all these major changes to the game without proper support for current players, but THEY DON'T ANNOUNCE THE CHANGES IN THE FUCKING FORUM FOR THE GAME OR THE INGAME ANNOUNCEMENT. With that said, these changes can be good in the long term provided they tweak them to be less grindy, but ultimately I'd rather have waited 5 month for an optimization patch than the current content, which mostly seems half-assed and not polished.

  12. Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but the Chapter 4 story doesn't seem to have any progression, the only story thing just repeats the end of Chapter 3 where the elf priestess asks to join the harem. I'm asking to confirm because I had a very similar issue when transitioning from Chapter 3 to Chapter 3 where the story didn't actually update until I reset the cache and reloaded. I've done the same thing for Chapter 4, but I'm not entirely convinced since during the huge lag spike at the beginning of Chapter 4 the story just replayed the 3 scenes in chapter 3 (going to the basement, purifying the demons, aftermath/final scene).

Clear your cache and reload the game.  That bug was fixed a few minutes after the release, but you may still have that bug if you loaded the game too early.  I had the same issue and a reload solved it.

Thanks, that worked for me. Apparently it's random to actually get her, so I guess we just have to keep remaxing the same chapter over and over. On a side note, selecting Sabrina completely ruins the girls interface for me. Also, the progression for girls/chats/photos shows that I do have stuff from before the update unlocked but apparently have to redo the clicks/responses again.

The max level grows with each reset (edit: If you reached max lvl). so reset 3 times and you can get her, even if it is not 100% chance to do so.

You're referring to the remax option in the forge, right? It doesn't seem to increase the max level for me from 501.

I think it is most likely to do with the amount of resources it has to load rather than what resources.

The game preloads all of the assets (girls/pictures) that your account currently has unlocked (my account needs 1/28 and then 1/287), and memory usage increases in the task manager shows it being loaded in. Something I'm noticing is that the amount of memory being used when it finishes loading is different sometimes (around 10k MB difference!) After it finishes loading, memory usage stays consistent until it suddenly locks/freezes, which causes the memory usage to jump. These freezes don't last a consistent amount of time, but while the game is frozen it just keeps taking RAM. Looking at the developer console, the following message appears during loading and in the game itself:

warning: X FS.syncfs operations in flight at once, probably just doing extra work

I've noticed that the X number of operations steadily increases overtime. Googling the warning has results where other Unity games on Chrome have had memory leaks. If a developer is reading this, you might want to check out disabling 'IndexedDB' or changing how you use it. Link below describes one solution to the memory leak (from 2015, so may not be as useful).

Same problem for me, game eating up all memory ... great way to kill my enthusiasm about the game ...
So if this continues much longer, I'm out of here ... and I guess a lot of other players as well ...

Same, the fact that it takes 5+ minutes for everything to load for it to simply stop working after 2 minutes really stops me from being able to enjoy the game.

  16. Created a new account, played to Stage 2000, base memory usage is definitely much lower (but that's most likely due to not having the same number of girls to load), but there haven't been any memory spikes at all. I'd do more testing but progress is too slow for me to continue.

  17. Well, looking at the memory usage, I think the issue is with one of these three things:

    • Critical idle
    • Critical money
    • Skipping stage

The game increases its memory usage whenever one of these things happens, particularly when it happens many times in a row (or when all 3 happen). Since all 3 of these events are from charms, I'm going to see if an account without them doesn't have this issue.

  18. Playing on Windows 10 Chrome, the game just constantly starts eating all RAM as soon as it finishes loading. It starts at around 6k MB and then steadily goes up until it reaches max (28 GB). On that note, this game takes waaaayy too much RAM in general, I can have youtube and twitch running at the same time and they both combined don't touch the baseline memory this game takes.
