No, if they play it one time they will understand because the way the prizes are presented makes it clear.
You will still need to play it at least one time to know, which is actually a fair bit of kobans since it's 10x games in one click.
Arguably, you can say that it's the same with Great Pachinko. However, Great Pachinko costs less to play (as long as you have the in-game money), and is deceptive for players who have NEVER played 10x Epic before.
On another note, it isn't hard for this to be mentioned in the Pachinko tutorial too. If anyone skips the tutorial, then that's their problem.

If the 10x spin gave more then 1 girl, then there is no point in making singles, no risk no benefit.
There has always been a wording inconsistency, since Great Pachinko has a different behaviour from Epic Pachinko for 10x play.
Devs should really consider either making Great Pachinko to have the same behaviour or reword the text used for Epic Pachinko.
Because no one will be able to figure out from the text alone unless they play it several times or come into the forum to check.- 2

2. The drop rate of the girls go up a tiny, miniscule amount each time you beat the boss. Thanks Raziel1806, great idea! - He suggested 0.01% but I believe this is too great an increase. Even a much tinier 0.001% would work. It makes an extremely little difference, but it's about the psychology of it. At least you know you are getting something. And after 300 misses, you would have an increased 0.3% chance per boss win to get a girl. This is actually relevant at this point. Maybe don't show the base chance to get girls, since that's a secret, but show the increased chance that you have obtained through hard sweat and effort. (Also, this number would be different for each boss and could reset on getting a girl.)
I agree with this point, though rather than for regular drops, at least for the Epic Pachinko.
Having a pity counter to increase the odds of getting something you did get in the previous games will allow a player who spends lots of kobans to have a higher chance of actually getting a girl. And it works both ways since getting a girl either resets the counter or can even give a small penalty. (i.e; a player has won 3 girls recently, the chance of with another girl now is even lower than normal)
If you want to encourage play within a time period (keeping loss advantage and removing win disadvantage), it's also possible to have the counter reset after some time.

The whole idea of an idle game is to log on, click a bunch of stuff, and have several hours of your life to do other things before coming back for a brief update.
This is not a one-shot game where you finish it in a few hours and never return.
If you really have so much free time, go and play some other games, then come back.
And if you really want to play this all in one-shot, pay for kobans and you will be on your way (making the devs very happy in the process).

^What he said. Wait till you complete the story up to its development point first.

...and how long does this contest actually run for?

I posted about this in the feedback thread too. No reply so far.

Hi, a pop up appeared asking me to try playing another game for 600 Kobans.
But clicking on the link and trying out the other game doesn't seem to do anything.
Am I supposed to wait or is this a bug?
I can't pass threw the dark lord

Posted
But it does? I played against the Dark Lord and my xp goes up.
If it doesn't give the xp it says you gotten, then it's a bug.
You might want to check your xp bar carefully to make sure this actually happens before reporting it.
