My impression of the event is that it tries to force you to spent your resources (some times waste would be more fitting). Another major drawback is that it takes more playing time, interfering with real life.

Although I still dislike DP a lot, I will try to do a contructive criticism, proposing some changes to alleviate the main problems found in this first (I still think of it as a beta) version.

    Possible changes:

    - Adding free skips. At a minimum one for event, but better one per day.

    - Avoiding mission repeat in the same day (numbered daily chests are the most annoying, they could be changed to just opening one or two chests without regard for which ones).

Improbable (I doubt KK will change anything related to koban prices):

    - The cost of the paid route for the second girl should be reduced to 5400 kobans in line with Path of Glory.

    - The cost of skipping tasks could be halved. 30 and 45 kobans for easy and hard tasks.

Well, I'm all done now. Finished the event with 1 day and 12 hours to go.
I've got 5 Kisses and 15 Combativity left over to claim. The rest of the rewards claimed to complete the event or just things like gems that can be stockpiled.

I'm one of the people who complained the that gameplay for Boss Bang and Mythic Days was too simple, boring and repetitive, so this is the antithesis of that.

I didn't actually mind the management side of things. I was blessed with several things:

    • A big stockpile of resources. In particular Kobans which were going to be used for last month's Mythic Days but are being saved for Lovebot Narou. And unclaimed girls, PoP, Dailies etc. right at the start.
    • Enough time to play.
    • A generous RND at key moments. For example, needed 100 shards and got a Mythic Pachinko purple girl first try. Then later got another girl after four tries. Plus things that I could easily complete, such as "Sell Items" when my stockpiles were massive.
    • Good fortune and timing NOT to claim Dailies and rush to complete events. So things like "Claim Day 3" were actually possible off the bat.
    • A willingness to spend Kobans/other resources to move through some challenges. I did dip into Kobans, Gems, XP rewards etc a bit, but not excessively. I made sure to keep my bank for the things that I really did need. Still, you can see the "resource sink" in effect.

So, I'm on the fence on this one. I know that I got lucky. I know that I won't always have the time or resources to manage this event in the future. And the novelty will wear off.

On the other hand, it felt more like a "game" with decision making, certainly than Boss Bang or Mythic Days, so there's that.

The rewards were okay but not great. My red mythic item reward was, of course, wrong in every regard. The AM thing just got thrown into my inventory. Got a five star girl with good stats, but they're not exactly rare in this game. Overall, I ended the contest with a bit more than when I started, just shuffled around in type and quantity.

I feel like suggestions (as per above Jelom) could actually tweak this into something that would be more suitable for everyone. For example:

    • Lock out challenges once you've been handed them each day. So if you get the PoP x 12 one, then PoP is ruled out from the pool for the rest of that day.
    • Lock out some challenges for the whole Event once you've done them. Eg 100 shards.  Most people will have one saved up to claim somewhere, or can bear the cost of paying the skip price once. But they should only have to face these big challenges once (or a similar cap) in the Event for fairness I think.
    • Reduce cost of buying the second path. I don't know to what, but I also don't think there is any way that is reasonable, given what people need to save for Mythics, and other Events.

So, yeah, keep, but make improvements.

One nitpick is that it can't all be seen at once, and some of it is cut off at the bottom.

It'd be nicer if it were more compact like this, so it was all visible on one screen, w/o scrolling.

I'd like to also see Books (and Gifts, I guess), in the Backpack. After all, they're a major resource bottleneck.

No.  If you lack 50 CP, it'll charge you the same 10.8 kos per CP rate as usual.

Then, if you try to use the button again, it'll actually charge you 48 kos for spending 50 CP immediately.

You weren't mistaken.  You're a ninja for answering the question swiftly.

    Thanks Julius Fox and Ravi-Sama.

I'll just give some more detail, so that I'm sure I'm understanding this.

GOAL: Purchase a x50 refill and use it.

    1) Current Combativity: 0/20
    "Perform! x1" is grayed out.
"Perform! x50" is available for 48 Koban.

    2) Click "Perform! x50".

    Message prompts:
"To complete this action you need to pay 48 kobans.
    Are you sure?
    <Yes button>"

    3) Click "Yes."
I haven't actually watched carefully at this point to see if 48 Kobans are deducted, but I am assuming that they are, because I did a confirmation.

    4) Click "Perform! x50".

I forget the exact message prompt, but it then prompts you to pay for the x50 refill, whatever Koban price that is.

    5) Then going to Perform! x50 at this point again gives you the prompt as at (2) about needing to spend 48 Koban.

And at this point I've always been scared/confused, because it looks like it is asking me to pay 2 x 48 Kobans for the pleasure of spinning, plus the 50 refill cost.

My expectation is that you'd only need to pay the 48 Kobans for the benefit of doing the 50 spins in one go.

My issue is that I can't see how to purchase 50 Combativity refills in one go without the above process.

Or does it only actually charge you ONCE for the 48 Koban spins, even though you've confirmed that twice?

    Thoughts?

  4. So I got the Mythic girl this month.

Weren't people expecting a Sensual girl to drop this month? I've been waiting about a year for one in Mythic Days.

    QUESTION

How do you purchase and use the x50 spins?

If I try and buy Combativity from the top of the screen, I can buy x20 and then it grays out and can't be used again.

If I try and buy it from within the screen, it asks me to spend money on a x50 roll, then you can buy a x50 refill, but then it asks to spend a x50 on using the rolls again.

Sorry - been playing for a while now and haven't figured this out.

    Thanks.

. . . there's gonna be overlap w/ the CbC.  The last day is a great day to unlock lvl 750 if you haven't yet (GXP/Gem contests).

    Could you expand on this?

I've been wondering for a little while: "Are Contests predictable?"

How did you know that the last day would be a GXP or Gem Contest? Is it always?

For the most who want's to win D3 it will be interesting to get 9 set of equip (at least for the weeks with blessed element playfull/Voyeur/submissiv 40% and another blessing with 20% 😉 ). In the next 1 or 2 years we will have a very hard time for f2p players in D3.

I would have a very hard time now in D3!   :-)

(Based on one accidental promotion at Level 414 with 6 x L700 Mythics, which ended in utter disaster.)

  7. Ok. I've read the Announcement and been through this thread.

Can someone advise the WHY of this feature? What does it bring to the game?

    From what I can see:

    • Gives a more powerful battle team.
(But then, everyone will increase also.)
    • Gives a use for Equipment apart from selling for cash or the odd competition points.
    • So mechanically gives the player the choice of "more powerful team vs more money now"
    • Gives players something extra to do in the game, that isn't on a timer
    • Gives high end players something extra to do, as they've maxed everything, for a year or two.
    • Might encourage someone to spend Kobans??? (I'm not sure on the how of this.)

Are those the aims of this feature?

Will this add fun? (The mechanic seems an okay expansion.)

Also - can you sell Mythic equipment? What do you get?

Would adding a "player market" add anything to the concept? Some people grind Mythic equipment, other people buy? That's how it works in other PvE games. But that is counter to everything previously on offer.)

You're right. I see it now.

    I'm sure that I didn't yesterday . . .

    Oh well. Thanks!

And now the problem is back again.

There is no hover text over the girl, but is against everything else in the shop.

Tried turning off the script, with no change.

So it means that I've no quick way to find out the details of this girl.

Is it girl specific? Or do you only get hover text if you can afford the girl? I don't know.

  10. Ok, having tried it out live now, I have comments:

CON: Splitting out the "buy", "use" and "sell" options for everything to their own pages is a step backwards.
The old market worked well. You could easily flick back and forth between the main sections.
If we can't go back to that, then some changes:

    • Put a "Buy and Equip" button along with the "Buy" button on the "Equipment" and "Boosters" tabs.
    • Put an "Unequip and Sell" and an "Equip and Sell Existing Item" button against the Hero.

CON: Separating the girls from the Books and Gifts is a step backwards.
It used to be easy to Filter (using script) all of the girls, flip between the sub-set and allocate resources.
It was fast. It was efficient.
Now you buy resources in a whole different section to the area where you upgrade them (Harem).
And the Harem does not have the functionality of the old market.
    Plus is slow to open.

    • Bring something like "the old marketplace" and "the userscript/s" in as a feature we can see and filter all of the girls, apply gifts and books easily, and buy gifts and books, in the one location.
Marketing slogan "The old market place, but better."
    • If can't do above in a timely manner, bring back the old market place. If it ain't broke, eh?

PRO: The "Buy All" button for Books and Gifts.
This is an appreciated  small time saver.
Could of had it on the old market place though. Just add two buttons there.

    CON: A loss of aesthetic.
The new market place is sterile. There is no character to it at all.
I didn't know that I would miss the old layout, with the shops, characters, and even the white space background as much as I do.

    • If we can't go back, add in new shop backgrounds and vendor characters to the new market place.

FEATURE REQUEST: Add in protected "loadouts" for the Hero.
I want to be able to have at least three loadout slots.

    • My current, active, loadout
    • A custom loadout eg maxed single type equipment for Pantheon
    • A custom loadout 2 eg really cheap junky gear to switch into for Leagues

Any items in a loadout would be protected, and unable to be sold.

FEATURE REQUEST: Add a "Sell All" button with Filters in Equipment.
I want to be able to:

    • Filter on gear.
    • Hit "Sell All" for all gear meeting that Filter.
    • Without having to "page down" through hundreds of items.
    • Any gear in loadouts would be protected.

    Thanks.

EDIT. Dang it. Ninjad by DvDivXXX again.

  11. I think other comments have already covered good points and I'd echo those.

Adding in my list though so that the devs. have more feedback.

    * WANT good filters like the third party scripts.
Example: Find me all 1 Star girls who are not level capped so that I can advance them for a daily contest.
Example: Find me all Legendary 5 Star girls who are capped for Red gems.
Better: Find me all girls of two or more gem types.

    * WANT "Sell All" button (but with Filters).
Seriously, there are way too many mouse clicks to sell items for a contest.
Does it keep someone in the game? Yes. It is a good gameplay? No.
(That's a comment that could be leveled at the game in general. Looking at both Mythic and Boss Bang gameplay for pointless clicks.)

    * LIKE "Buy All" button.
But that is not the big time sink (see above).

    * MISS the store salespeople and backgrounds.
    A game needs an environment.

    * QUESTION splitting things out onto many tabs, rather than on one tab.
    Looking at you, boosters.

    * LIKE the safeguard to buy all, but not spend Kobans.

    * QUESTION what benefit the current round brings.
It's a bit like removing the "Town" functionality all over again.
Sure, it may be neater or better for code implementation. But is it a game improvement?

    * Did I mention better filters?
The third party scripts rule for filters.
Keep low level gear, sort out your purple gear by flavour and body part.
    Sort out the girls.
Just bring as many good filters in as possible - ascending AND descending sort order choices, multiple selections (eg Red and Green gems), mulitple selections over categories, ALL the relevant categories etc.

  12. Hi,

Can someone jog my memory as to whether the daily "Contests" include a category of "Give girls Affection" in the list?

I'm sitting on a Mythic that needs leveling up AND have a stockpile of Gifts. If there is such a contest, I'll wait before powering her up, but if not, I may as well go straight ahead.

Not the Daily Missions, which I know has them, but Contests.

    Thanks!

  13. Really amazing write up, /u/Ravi-Sama. Bravo.

You're out of the league for the common people, but really interesting to see all this. Good job on the poster.

I'm thinking - after some of the horror results above - that this might not be the round for me. Too much risk of spending everything for nothing.

What do people think of the idea of "avoiding Mythics" for the mid-tier players and focusing resources only on the 5 star Legendary girls for the battle team?

It looks (I think) like you can get a better rounded, larger team for (I read somewhere here, but not sure if it was a number out of a hat), less 10% of combat effectiveness.

Still, the lure of the Mythic is strong, and I'm powering one up. What a slog though. Green gem bottleneck.

  14. Thanks.

I'm Level 312, in Dicktator 1. Last round just scraped into the 31 - 45 bracket, which is 618 Kobans.

Only 15 Combativity stored from the current Season. 4 Sandlewood saved.

I complete the other missions you mentioned. Get a Koban reward from Contests on a fairly regular but not guaranteed basis.

My current Koban balance is 8,318. (Basically, started at zero at the end of the last Mythic when I just got Druiada Titania. Started with 10,000+ Kobans then and 5 SP.)

So it is in the realms of the possible. Just not "guaranteed" if there are bad spins.

I'll sleep on it. Still a few days left anyway.

Thanks for doing the number crunch.

    Very good. 🙂

    > in your case, i think it depend on how many koban you’ll get with your league

My league level is not high enough level to be a great source of koban . . .  and yet I moved up, and appear to be waaaaaaaay outclassed in this level, so it will probably be some long time before it becomes a reliable good income source.

    Thanks for the replies, people.

    May I ask why?

I'm in a similar boat - 4 perfume and 8000 kobans - but after a close shave in a last run, I no longer count that as a "sure thing."

Do you have a bunch of unloved purple gems, must have this girl, fills a spot in the colour roster, has good combat stats . . . why?

Because I was going to save my resources and make my next Mythic run better resourced.

    Thanks.

I appreciate the selfies and gems but I don't care much about the conversation. I really don't want to collect another resource to compete. Please don't add this resource to another contest/feature requirements. We have lives and jobs, we can't afford to play this game full time.

There are two simple changes that I wish KK would address immediately. First, replace the white background. I run everything in dark mode. The bright white background burns my eyes. It's a shock to go from the rest of the game to this. Second, get rid of the response delay. I understand that they want to simulate a person typing the replies but it is annoying especially we are in a hurry. They can give us a setting or a button to see reply immediately like other games.

Pretty much this post in a nutshell for me.

Like the gems. Seems a harmless feature. But I can do without the grind in an already grindy game. Strongly considering giving it up, actually.

Anyway, of the new feature, the thing that would improve it a great deal is reducing the response delay. I heartily agree with that suggestion.
