If you multi-use the tickets and finish off a stage with your first challenge it seems to count it as only one challenge for the sake of events. I used 5 tickets cause i thought it would complete the stage directly while also giving me progress on the current event, but instead I am out those tickets and i only got 1 of the challenge counts while i already didn't have enough tickets to complete the event stage.
