Okay, I feel stupid. You were right that when the blue popup appears the 10 has already been added in. They are in sequence below (before, when blue popup appears, and after). Still no clue where the extra points come from. Perhaps they come from the Club bonuses? The one I belong to has one maxed out and a couple others relatively high (see fourth attachment).

The patch notes says You will be able to switch Tier as you desire ... which implies that yes, you will be able to "continue" to fight tier one.

Not sure exactly what you're asking. I had more energy before this point that I spent on "Adventure", which is how I got to 38. I then leveled up doing one of the "Activities", so no energy was spent right before the point of leveling up.

Okay, as promised, below are some screen captures. The first one is a little hard to see, but I says I had 38 energy. When I leveled up it says "+10 ⚡", which should have put me at 48, but as can be seen in the second capture it put me at 43 therefore only gave me 5. This is the at least the third time in a row -- WTF is going on!?!

Same error occurred, but I wasn't paying attention so didn't get any screen-captures. This time I was at 19 and it only gave me 7 energy instead of 10 (i.e., energy went to 26 instead of 29, as it should have if awarding me 10 as it stated).

I was at 20 energy. I leveled up when performing an "Activities" and it said I had been awarded 10 energy... however, energy only went to 26 (obviously, it should have gone to 30). I think this is the second time in a row where I've not received the full 10 energy. I'll try to get screen captures of this, day after tomorrow when I should be leveling up again.

I too had Felicia, and also Megumi and I agree that the more advanced users had quite a large advantage. I did just one forge-reset after stage 800, which got me click (shamanic finger tingler), idle (mojo amulets), and rewards (maneki chinpo) -- ignored click and bumped idle and rewards evenly as far as they would go... also somewhere between stages 1200 and 1600 I bought 'mojo blueprints' and bumped them some more. I just kept using the rewards to constantly increase the levels of Felicia and Megumi. Took me about 30 hours. [EDIT TO ADD:] Forgot to mention that I visited very regularly (every 1/2 hour or so) and used all the boosters ('manly sweat', 'flirt', etc).

I only needed 2 more points to get to the next level. Energy was at 74. I did a "current quest" which required 25 energy, dropping my total to 49 as expected, and my level changed also as expected, but the normal reward of energy points did not happen even though it said that it awarded me some (energy should have at the very least increased by 10 -- e.g., to 59, but energy remained at 49). Stayed this way even after going to a other screens and doing different things.

It depends on what you mean by "score". If you mean the amount of impression you have to reach in order to get to the next stage, then yes it is normal. You are given only 24 hours to complete before a certain amount is taken away (I think it's 10% of the max value) . If you hover your mouse over the impression bar at the upper left of the screen it will tell you this. Below is a snapshot of one of my champion screens showing this.

AHA! This appears to be the official solution:

One issue (when it did work) is that people did not notice the subtle change in the banner -- the link in the banner changes from something like "play Hentai Clicker" "get the reward"... you might want to take a second look
