  1. This can be solved with proper rebalancing, i.e. 1 - 4th -> 100 shards 5-10th -> 70 shards 11-25th -> 35 shards 26+ -> 15 shards This way people would be able to get the girl if they put in significant enough effort on at least one day even if they're unable to compete on others. Plus it will open up more spots on day 4, since places 11-25 can get the necessary shards within 3 days. The problem of unclaimed rewards still stands as people are sorted into brackets depending on whether they have the girl or not, so if you have 75 shards claimed and 50 unclaimed, you'd be sorted into a shard bracket again.
  2. Where did you get that info ? As far as I recall it was noted that this girl will be exclusive and unavailable by other means. Furthermore we have absolutely no info if we'll even be getting revival Legendary Contests. How would such a contest work so that it is interesting to players who already have the girl ?
  3. There's no way to avoid lag on something that's PvP based, because everyone will be waiting for the last moment anyway. The problem is in the event's nature itself. If they insist on keeping this for whatever reason, they could at least up the duration to 6-7 days so that the competition wouldn't be so bad.
  4. Did you check if you were in an orb or shards legendary contest before you claimed the reward from day 1 ?
  5. Even if it was 10% I wouldn't feel like I've worked for anything, because neither I, nor you have. There's no skill involved in this event, nor is there in any other. But now instead of fighting against the odds, you're fighting against other players and the odds. It sure makes some players feel like they're putting in effort, while the most they're doing is spending a good amount of resources. Same as with PoA, with the difference that there you have the illusion that you're getting your 7200 kobans' worth while in reality you're getting things you'd never spend kobans on. And while all other events require a similar amount of 'effort', at least they don't waste additional time or resources doing so. An actual skill-based event could be done by using mechanics similar to champions, but scaled to the player's current level instead. Ask yourself why aren't we getting something like that, but we get these consistent resource sinks ?
  6. Your calculations while correct for an ideal scenario are way of the mark in real world cases because there are several things that contribute to reducing efficiency by a large margin: 1) If a player doesn't claim their girl shards reward in the 30 minute window, they get sorted into a shards bracket again. Supposedly this is avoided if you're in top 4. 2) The 'wasted' potential you mentioned by people who want to insure themselves that they don't get pushed out of position at the last moment, meaning they can focus on getting more than the required shards. 3) You can get sorted into a bracket of more than 50 people. Generally it's 51-2 but it still contributes to reduction of your chance to obtain the girl. 4) You get a new bracket every day, meaning you can get into a bracket where everyone has 25 shards or less, after day 1, reducing the odds of equal shard spread. 5) You can get sorted into a bracket of 50 people who are all focusing on getting at least some shards, making the competition that much harder. I've probably missed some other issues, but basically the real world scenario is so far from the ideal one you described that most probably about 50% of people will get the girl, not the generous 86% everyone is buying into.
  7. Yeah, this event should be renamed to 'WhaleMania!!!!' or something. It's plain as day who PoA and LC events are targeted at, with their high resource and koban costs.
  8. By the looks of it I'm gonna get the girl on day 1, but I still deeply dislike this event. Just Sayan.
  9. I'm wondering, how much feedback do they need to take out this PvP event or at least increase the odds further ? The way it is now it's still going to be a Koban bidding war on the live server, akin to an auction. Whoever can get the most refreshes on arena/bosses etc. will get the win, it's that simple.
  10. If you want to win the event you can't afford to play an idle game. Due to how everything works Mojo Ring is mandatory in any event. You don't have to click all the time, but it's good to activate all skills and click while money/idle multipliers are active. Unfortunately there's no way for events to be completely idle. For the main office you've figured out something but it is still much faster using mojo ring and clicking/activating skills.
  11. Does that mean that the brackets are shared and the only difference is what rewards are shown to each player ? I.e. different players in the same bracket can see either shards or orbs, depending on whether they have the girl or not. Because during the previous test that was a possible occurrence, but the fix you described indicates reward update only, not bracket re-sorting.
  12. Yes, players with Felicia should be equal in events, even more so, players who don't have her should still be able to compete in events instead of being locked out. A player with 1 week of progress will still never be close to the one with 8 months in main office which is the main metric in the game. It will take a new player probably a couple of months to reach the cap and that's only if they get some event girls. Is that not enough of an advantage for you ? There is always a point at which players will become roughly equal due to one cap or another. It's just that in HC the cap is comparatively low due to the huge multipliers introduced. If multipliers were limited to let's say x5 on something and no more, then certain players wouldn't even have reached the cap yet.
  13. It's an issue of bad game design, namely - consistently inflating numbers by large amounts, specifically due to the use of multipliers and how they work. It gives advantage only during events where older players are likely to have a higher multiplier, but I am talking about main office. If you accept that it's targeted at events then why the hell would older players need further advantage when they already had advantage before ? Unless you support the stance that the discrepancy between older and newer players should be greater ? If that's the case, then I have nothing more to say.
  14. @Just_To_Complain Your whole post shows the type of thinking that lead to the current state of the game, including the level cap and other issues. On the stats I was exactly pointing it out that we are far in the main office because of event girls. But events were always difficult to new players, so enhancements can make their life a little easier. But now that events are also balanced around enhancements as well, obtaining event girls is even harder than before. So for all their usefulness these enhancements will not help anybody progress the 4-5k levels which events can give them. Yeah, nobody's supposed to insta-cap main office, but you're forgetting the amount of effort required to unlock those perks anyway. I can personally say that being stuck around level 8k inbetween events was pretty annoying as we didn't have enough multipliers even with events at that point.
  15. So it looks like that once you get 100 shards or more, then unclaimed contests change to the orb rewards. It still doesn't account for the fact that I played in a shard bracket originally though. I failed to notice whether I was switched to a different bracket for the current day (which had already started) after I claimed the shards. I suspect I'm still in the same contest with players who don't have the girl yet and it's only my personal rewards that are different.
  16. Since you keep quoting me I'm going to say this once - I have absolutely zero interest in anything you have to say/do/prove etc. This is the last time I'm replying to you, if only to prevent you from wasting time/effort. Have a nice game
  17. Because you're looking at your own stats only. For example mine are: And I haven't even unlocked all the idle multipliers I have because I don't need them at this point. By comparison, what is achievable with the Main Office girls is about x8, x3, x3, x3 of the respective multipliers if we disregard the post 10k levels because they're unreachable with the above multipliers. Regardless of how old a player you are, this is more than an advantage. Granted you've hit a wall for different reasons, but if that wall wasn't there, you'd be at level 17k+ or who knows where, while newer players without enhancements will be stuck below 8k until they're lucky enough to get a puzzle event with a triple multiplier girl. Even if everything worked fine, that additional source of multiplier is a drop in the bucket compared to the many x10-15 multipliers we have already, so it doesn't make sense as just an additional source of damage. Enhancements have no use to you because they aren't targeted at you. Or if I'm wrong in that assumption - then their addition before fixing the cap was completely useless. Why spend the effort to add them when they bring nothing to the main game ? Unless, they are aimed at getting players who don't have 10+ Felicia multi to spend Ryuos on event boosters. Is that strategy acceptable to you ?
  18. The enhancements only make sense if they have been added to help new players who missed the multiple events with x7-15 multiplier girls. Otherwise if they make the level disparity during events even larger, then they shouldn't have been added at all. The level limit at the office is a completely separate issue that shouldn't be mixed with enhancements.
  19. Okay, it looks like there are several more problems with this type of event: 1) The event checks harem availability to determine which type of bracket a player is sorted into. If they haven't claimed their reward shards they will again be sorted into a shard bracket. 2) In attempt solve (1) the end time for legendary contests is 30 minutes earlier than the regular one. Not only is this not a solution as a lot of people may be unable to or simply forget to claim their reward in that 30 minute window. It also affects planning if a player hasn't noticed that it ends at a different time than usual. 3) Not a new problem, but again I'm sorted into a large bracket, this time 63 players instead. This also additionally illustrates how (2) fails to solve anything. Assuming the same player pool as previous day (since my level range hasn't changed), then it shows that from out of 4 guaranteed winners and 6-21 potentials, only 1-2 average players per bracket have claimed their reward in the 30 minute window before the new contest. I purposefully didn't claim my 50 shards to see what will happen. All of the above means that ideal-scenario calculations will be very far from real-world performance. It's very likely that less than 40% of participants will be able to obtain the girl.
  20. I think if they do tiers for events it would be best for everyone. That way the whales and veteran players can have a challenge, while newer players won't be stonewalled. Tiers could be based on maximum office level reached for example.
  21. You misunderstand or misrepresent half the things I'm saying so I'm not going to bother anymore. Please refrain from addressing me, thank you.
  22. Yeah, I HAD to use boosters to complete it after grinding 9 straight days of multiple resets, easy peasy. On which day did you complete the event, I don't remember ? Was it 3 or 4 ? Yes, but because of the higher level count the event was balanced differently. No two events are the same, so 4200 in the current one isn't the same as 4200 on the previous one. And even though the current even is easier overall, it's still harder than it needs to be for a lot of players. Also you keep forgetting that a higher level cap makes it easier to obtain all charms, due to different balancing allowing you to reach further before stalling. It was a major issue when events went up to level 2500 or 3200 and those unlucky with crafting were practically doomed. You're the one who said it's possible. What I'm going for instead is that players should be able to tackle events after about 1 month of joining. I'm talking about new player experience, you keep talking about your own every time. I personally am not even prioritizing multipliers anymore because I reach the cap fast enough, but that doesn't mean it's the same for everyone. And furthermore I'm referring to everything in the context of events, where main office is relevant until level 7000 to get Felicia. The problem being that without good multipliers that's not so easy, and the good multipliers come from .... events. But then events are gated to those who already have Felicia .... see where I'm going ? I doubt it. Thanks for the namecalling btw, I appreciate that a god of Hentai Clicker, such as yourself, can converse on the same level as plebs like me. Man, I didn't know any of that, thanks bestowing your infinite wisdom upon this poor uneducated soul. Try getting all charms when you can barely reach level 3000, that's where most newer players will be. Boosters aren't sufficient to push through everything because they're on a 12 hour clock. If you have to consistently refresh the booster spending above 10k+ then there's something wrong with the event. You fail to understand that the event is not balanced around the multiplier only, but around Mojo Ring and Felicia as well. A booster alone cannot compensate for more than a low level multiplier, even if the player has Felicia. The chances of getting the mojo ring are exponentially lower the lower your multiplier because you'll have more limited range of charms. Girl power and money gain don't increase anywhere nearly on the same level as prices and difficulty, otherwise we wouldn't need charms and multipliers. Thus the difficulty-to-power ratio also increases exponentially, did you factor that in ? Don't answer, it's already obvious. Because it's not effective enough to help reach Felicia. Exactly, and nowhere to put it into because you have 3-4 multipliers and that's it. The rest might as well be wasted. Here's exactly the problem - at least a small multiplier is actually still required, evenwith boosters. Otherwise I wouldn't be arguing about balancing with a brick wall. I'm not asking for anything at the start but there should be a reasonable timeframe. Lots of older players didn't have Felicia for a long time, why do you think it's different now for new players ? Just because you have a shitton of stuff which is useful at higher levels doesn't mean jack shit for those joined recently. If the event was balanced around a x3 multiplier I would almost agree with you, but it's not, it's balanced around 10 or more. So that x3 plus a booster maybe will help someone, but that's for 12 hours only. Then if they didn't get Mojo Ring, they should keep pouring Ryos and praying to RNG ? I doubt people would be encouraged by such experience. Unless you want to make the game an exclusive club for veteran players, it's not a good idea to encourage such balancing. You're all about honesty but you keep trying to present yourself as a casual/average player when you're most decidedly not. And even though I didn't bother to figure the daily event tricks, I'm not one either.
  23. I'm interested in how it's helpful to progress when your money multiplier skill is down. That's a x5 multiplier that you're missing. It's only worth to progress while all skills are available since otherwise you hit a wall much faster and the next skill activation will give you less progress overall. I've tested this more than once. Do you? The difficulty and prices are exponential, how hard is that to understand ? Let's keep being honest shall we ? In main office you have very few idle/money multipliers. Even if someone buys affection boosters what's the point of it for a measly x2 multiplier. The first good one is Clara with x4 idle. The real meaningful ones are still on event girls and cost thousands of affection points. While you might be able to get 1k of affection from achievements as a beginner, you don't even have the relevant girls to put it into. As for charms - yes, you can get them all eventually, but if you're unlucky you can still progress slowly due to bad RNG. Exactly, but now not only do you need Felicia, you also need to 'enhance' her sufficiently. Obtaining her is in itself a challenge, since Bunny is very underpowered by comparison. Now you're just projecting. It would be the normal mode if everyone got Felicia and Keira with x18 multipliers automatically when joining the game. As it is now it requires significant effort to obtain the one, and it's not even possible to obtain the latter. And then it requires a lot of time to get those multipliers. Very normal indeed. Main office charm levels are irrelevant during an event, so are gacha girls. That last part I accept, but that's their prerogative. You can't pretend to not be a power player by pointing out there are players who whale out a lot of cash.
  24. You don't need to be. You just need to have been active within the last 72 hours. 3 minutes before event start should still count. I got drafted when I was active just 1 day before the event, but not earlier.
  25. My apologies, I keep forgetting that only your opinion is relevant. I did that too, so what ? Oh you mean you slaved away even in easy mode ? Boohoo. I did the same and on top of that I had to use boosters because I'm a 'bad player' as you put it. The fact that you have Felicia x18 has left you significantly disconnected from what the majority of the playerbase is experiencing. Why don't you try starting a new account and tell me how far you got in this event, since you think Felicia is obtainable in 10 days. And if you want the real new player experience, don't optimize your dailies. Not interested ? I didn't think so. Yup, a new player doesn't need to win this event, except that without this girl who knows when they'll get one with such good money multipliers. Next event you say ? Well they surely will have reached Felicia with all the multipliers they collected in main office. Let me see, that's x8 total idle and x10 money multiplier. You don't need x18 on Felicia for the event, but you do need idle-to-click. If you don't have it, then you need x18 on Keira/Lyka. It's either-or, I still don't have idle-to-click, so guess where I'm at. My charms are at levels 200 and above, and it's still a drag to go beyond 3600, I don't feel like full skill activation for less than 100 levels is worth it when I'm that far from the end goal, do you ? And stop making this about my progress, I'm confident I'll be able to finish the event, but others may not. While we're still being honest - those boosters mean nothing without the right girls, charms and multipliers. New players already have a very low chance on having the best girls and multipliers. If they don't get the right charms then they could spend 50k on boosters and still get nothing. Sounds very fair, no ? The main problem is - balancing the event around a girl with any multiplier (even x2) is BAD. Things were bad for a lot of players even before multipliers were introduced, now they divide is growing bigger and bigger.
