I remember that my very first PoA was the same exact experience (sometimes in July). Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about that right now (unless you wish to spend A LOT of kobans on refreshes and energy->ticket trade). Maybe this is wishful thinking, but I would like to see something like dynamic difficulty for events depending on your level/world progress. We already have this done for "Spend money" type missions in PoA, so the fundamentals are there, Kinkoid only has to further build on it. Because making events that do not cater towards newer players is probably not going to help this game long-term.
Now as for the different rewards compared to previous PoA, did they really replace pachinko orbs with Kisses? Absolutely terrible idea. The kisses are not needed for anything else than occasional daily contest.

I was a bit worried because right before LC started, I moved to higher level bracket (280-320), so I expected quite a competition. And there was. Out of all the contests, the ticket one was hardest and most stressful. One crazy guy was tailing me even after 300 tickets spent. I was checking the app constantly every 15 minutes so I could spend some more tickets. And it seemed like he spent a lot of kobans on refreshes, because i saw him jump TWICE by 100k point within 5 minutes.
Now that I have some extra orbs, its time to wait for mythic pachinko refresh, so I can grab Golden Bunny 😎

AFAIK you get put into another bracket with people that already have her, once you get her too. So you're not screwing anyone. Also that is pretty bad way to look at it. If what you say was true, that would be a bad game design. Why would you blame players for that?

Sooo, i managed to complete my initial goal 😎
Including the legendary girl itself, thats 2,5 girls, nice.
Anyway, I still hate this event.

Yeah I probably will, although I still have time to get some from PoP, so we will see
. Maybe ill have to level them from rank 9 to 10 just to get that one extra ticket.
Edit: Just checked the calendar and seems like we have 1 day break after contest again, I think that will be enough to get some tickets.

3rd victory in a row. Cost me almost all my tickets (from 340 to 7), all season energy and cca 60 kobans because i panicked one time 🤦♂️

Another day, another good result:
I think I have a good chance beating the ticket related contest as well. Only thing I am slightly worried about is the girl/book contest.

This week I moved into 280-320 bracket, so I expected much more competition, but luckily managed to get 1st place. Just like others mentioned, Season XP was enough to get me the girl.
Other than that, I managed to stockpile more tickets than last month (currently at 350), and a lot of orbs/books as well. I am aiming at 1st place 4 days in a row (maybe too ambitious, but we will see 😉).

Since I finally got to Dicktator 1 bracket, I decided to celebrate and spend a bit more kobans on this event.
For approximately 5,5k Kobans (+ 35 combativity from seasons), I got Bunny, Lupa, Ankyo, Hari, Hateya and Cyber Keiko, i think this has been pretty lucky. Last one i can get is Jordan. I'll wait with refills until the event is almost over (maybe ill get a lucky 100 shard drop).
Also this is a bit unrelated but i got 2 girls from mythic pachinko (in just 30 orbs), so just today i basically got 8 girls 😎. Pretty good day I'd say.

It's a bad event all around. Also not sure if anyone mentioned this, but why is mythic pachinko called "mythic", if mythic girls will not be in it? 🤣

Okaaaay, so we complained that in Legendary Contest the drop rate was bad and you had only 4-5 days, which was not enough to get a single girl with free combativity (unless you're lucky). Kinkoid's response? Make an even worse event with lower drop rate and shard pool that is shared with rest of the playerbase 🤦♂️
Also why is it side by side with another event? If you want the drop rate to be so low, this should be a permanent feature. Then it would at least kinda make sense.

Yeah, this is frankly unexpected and it made my day! I'm glad they listened, now I don't feel like i am forced to buy it every month.
Hell, i'll chip in with my 5 bucks this month just because of that.

The point is to make it look like a discount even though it in reality isn't. This is part of a pretty scummy business tactic called anchoring.
You've seen how overpriced the "non special" koban pack prices are? That is because Kinkoid does not actually expect you to buy any of them. No, they are there to setup initial pricing (anchor), to which you are supposed to compare all other types of purchases in game. Basically it goes like this:
1. You get an ingame offer for 50 bucks. You say no to that because that is way overpriced for a mobile gacha game.2. Couple sessions later, you get offered a special offer, where you can get the same stuff, but this time its for 15
3. You are now more inclined to buy the special offer, because your anchor was at 50
Rest assured, the "discount" is permanent, they will never want you to pay 27k kobans for a single PoA. To be honest, the game is free, and is also one of the better monetized games on Nutaku, so i guess they deserve some degree of leniency (even though i hate season pass, by far biggest offender). I just wish they didn't rub the monetization and all the value so much into our faces all the time.

Just for comparison, i had 570k on day #4 (while i could get maybe 800k if i had to), and i ended up first. Second guy had 430k, unfortunately i have no picture because i already claimed it. And that is bracket 240-280. Some things are certainly much easier on lower levels.

They abuse the hell out of a bug so Kinkoid team notices it fast and prioritizes it. For real though, thank god it happened only on test server.

I found an insane opponent today. What's funny is that this is a normal daily contest. In my bracket 240-280 i've never seen such high number on simple 'sell items' (usually like 10k tops):
We have topped each other like 5-6 times already. I just hope he does not have any more because i ran out of ymens 😭 The lengths i will go for 300 kobans.

In my opinion there are ways of fixing mythic pachinko so that it allows you to have a better choice. Maybe something like refresh in shop that cost a few kobans, which will roll 3 new girls (but that would require the mythic rotation to no longer be same for everyone). Also it would deal with this issue that people have, where they got all 3 girls and are unable to use those orbs anymore in contests.

Also I do not think those things are mutually exclusive. He is glad that he got the girl in 2 days but he hates the event.
I also hate it, because of the competitive nature. And because there is not enough shards for everyone in the bracket.

You can do it! The competition in your bracket seems insane though. I guess people do not need to use GP orbs outside of contests anymore at that level, while I still do, upgrading girls is expensive.
I had to tryhard these first 2 days because i know that i will stand no chance once champion ticket contest comes around.

Seems like 50 GPx10 orbs were wayyy more than enough to get rid of all the competition, whew. I felt pretty worried after some of you showed 100+ orb screenshots
In fact i had so much money left i ended up first in normal contest as well. Today is a good day.
