I haven't been keeping tabs on the MRs, but not even 24h in and the shards are already lasting more than an hour on Nutaku.

[Differences between "Mythic Days" versus "Mythic Revival" Events?]

MD are the more cost effective way of picking-up a Mythic because:

i) You can bank Combativity from the previous month's PoV, PoA and Seasons. I generally start a MD event with ~200-250 Combativity.
ii) They span 3 days rather than 2, meaning that you get more free Combativity refills.
iii) More shards are available overall, meaning that you have less of a feeding frenzy. You are more likely to be able to get through the event without having to use the x10/x50 options.

You're in the right region in terms of the Kobans you should have banked.

And after a MR has passed, we don't have any solid information on if or when that Mythic will ever be available again. At the present time there's only ever been two chances to get any of the Mythics.

Predictions for May's Mythic (starting with most likely imo):

- Voyeur (purple) - A couple of reasons for this. Firstly, @45026831 gave some insight into the reason for a shortage of Voyeur's earlier this month and indicated that steps were being taken to balance the Dominances now. Voyeur is the only Dominance with only a single Mythic whilst others have 3, so it seems reasonable to suggest that balancing this is likely to be a priority. It is also the Dominance that has gone longest (11 months) without a Mythic, so it's well overdue.

- Eccentric (red) - There are only currently 2 Eccentric Mythics, so this would bring Eccentric in line with Exhibitionist (green) and Sensual (blue) at 3. It is the Dominance that has gone second longest without (10 months). And KK may not want to release a new Voyeur Mythic the same month that they revive the only other Voyeur Mythic (Nike) - it could depress player engagement with one, the other, or both. So, Eccentric seems another good bet.

- Dominant (black)/Physical (orange)/Submissive (White) - Unlike Voyeur or Eccentric, all of these Dominances have had a Mythic less than 8 months ago (6/5/4), meaning that they're not overdue, but they also all only have 2 Mythics so another only brings them in line with Exhibitionist and Sensual.

- Playful (yellow) - Only been a month since we had the last Playful, but again there are only 2, so another still maintains equilibrium.

- Sensual (blue)/Exhibitionisht (green) - We had an Exhibitionist last month and Sensual three months ago. These are also the only Dominances with 3 Mythics so far. It seems very unlikely that they're going to turn up next month.

I'll be using the above to steer my strategy decisions over the next couple of weeks and thought others might find it useful.

I'm still going to pick-up Nike. Right now I'm finding that on any week where I have a decent team, unless I have at least one Mythic the counter teams are often not a benefit. Take last week, which was a Mythic week, and this week where I have 6/7 of the top 7. I don't have a Voyeur or Eccentric Mythic and to make these teams I have to deviate so far from my strongest team that it'd actually make my expected score worse, even though I have 3x L5* Eccentrics at my max level. Having at least one Mythic in each colour seems worthwhile simply for this reason, especially when the surplus of Voyeur gems is taken into consideration.....

Do you have any insight into what the rational behind not doing this in the first place was? Doing so seems the obvious course of action. I could even have understood making the more desirable elements rarer. But Voyeur and Submissive? I'm just curious what the thinking behind this was.

It's not just expensive, it's also quickly moving towards irrelevance in league terms. As are the L5*s generally

The least frequently top 7 Mythic (Royal Housemaid) currently has a ~25% chance of being in the top 7. There are 17 Mythics. If they all have at least 25% of appearing in the top 7, that's an average of 4.25 Mythics any given week. 12 months from now there will be 29 Mythics. Assume that the frequency of occurrance drops to 20%. That'd still be ~6 Mythics in the top 7 each week.

L5*s are quickly moving to only being relevant for Legendary weeks and LD is by far the most expensive way to get them. You'll always want a bank of them for Legendary weeks, counter teams (though if you pick-up the Mythic every month, you should have counter teams covered soon enough) or those weeks where you need some filler because you're Mythics got missed, but spending to get them is quickly becoming a very poor investment given how common they're becoming and other events like BB where it's trivial to achieve. I'm even thinking that if the LC doesn't fall my way I'll ignore it from now on.

Of course, this is said from a higher level perspective. For lower level players L5s will remain relevant until you can get Mythics comfortably. But it's also going to reinforce the old/new player divide as it will be very difficult for new players to catch up to players who have most or all of the Mythics.

I'm just going to let this one pass me by and continue farming green gems on Karol to upgrade Druiada Titania.

I think a full blown guide to MD might be worthwhile - detailing how quickly to expect shards to go, how much you need to have saved-up ot pick-up a Mythic (maybe even broken down MD vs MR) and detailing the extended periods of no drops that it is perfectly normal to experience. We seem to get a lot of the 'shocked at how shit and rigged MDs are' posts that really just boil down to a disconnect in expectations between the format of the event and the reality of what will happen.

I've picked-up Titania. Stats:

Total Kost (including 5xSP): 1274 Nutaku Kobans (7644 HH). That's the cheapest Mythic I've had since Undercover Valentina.

813 Combativity used, 373 free (actual cost 32 Kobans for 4x50 play right at the start).

Drop rate was (for the fourth month in a row) significantly below the average (7%), though better than the previous three at 6.15%.

Along the way I picked up 64 MPs (drop 7.87%), 35 tickets (drop 4.31%) and 1640 gems (drop 10.09%).

This month's Mythic does seem to have been less popular. I took a screenshot with 3.5 hours to go:

 

Looking at the figures at a similar point for the last few months:

- Angelic Lenaelle was at ~63k shards remaining
- Lovebot Norou was at 46k
- Sugarmama Lupa's Mum was at 75k

So Druiada Titiania does appear to have been less popular. Actually, given that there was a fair amount of discussion at the time about Norou having been less popular than other Mythics, I find it a little funny that she's actually been the popular outlier in an otherwise downward trending line. There certainly seems to me to be quickly dropping engagement at least with new MD (I couldn't speak to MRs). This month, 200 less people have grabbed the Mythic than last month, and 490 less than Norou.

178 orbs later, no Levitya. Ended up having to spend 15 3x and 2 6x to get Levitya and Fangirl Sylvia (I wouldn't have bothered with FS if she hadn't dropped first). I also took #1 in the CC (yumyumyumyumyum - gems, GXP and a booster I'll save for some later date).

Thinking about this, I wonder if Kinkoid may have misunderstood their own surveys. A few months ago there was a survey on the popularity of the various girls in each world. However, each world was voted on separately. Kinkoid may have misinterpreted the results as indicating that Titania was popular, without considering the possibility that none of the world 7 girls are popular and Titania's popularity in the survey was completely illusory.

I do think you might be on to something there.

I suspect that the proportion of player who are actually competiting is D3 is pretty small compared to the player base. We leaguie weagies likely exaggerate the importance of PvP due to our own biases towards it. Maybe it's just that Titainia is a giant uggo? 😛

Personally, in that survey, I went through and voted for every girl with a double attribute. Maybe I don't 'get' this game lol.

If they want to point the finger at something I'd suggest looking at gem balance.

I don't think there's been any drop off in the demand for L5*s, even though for the majority of players the majority of these girls are non-usable. But that's because they don't really cost anything to get. Other than the LC, and smart play can get you that one without too much effort. MD cost a fortune in terms of resources just to get the girl. Many players will already have one or two Exhibitionist Mythics. And unlike the L5s you basically spend nothing to grab, Mythics HAVE to be upgraded to be worthwhile because you've spent so much to get them in the first place.

I'd guess that a lot of players are now blanching at the thought of having to try and upgrade a green Mythic from the ground floor. I wasn't prepared for it and it basically means spending the rest of the month, and perhaps a good bit of next month, farming green gems.

I continue with my sub-part drop rate, at 5.8% for 15 drops (30 shards) so far. If this holds it'll be my 4th Mythic in a row with a drop rate in the 5.1-6.1% range 😭

There have been plenty of totally new L5*s where they could have started to rebalance things a little. The lack of Voyeurs isn't simply because - as with Titania and Norou - there is a previous version that dictates the Dominance. In fact, if you look back since they significantly increased the number of L5*s, there haven't been ANY new Voyeur ones. Every other Dominance has had at least 1, which mirrors the Mythic Dominances where all but Voyeur have at least 2.

When the same pattern appears for both L5*s and Mythics it doesn't seem unreasonable to conclude that this isn't simply coincidence

I guess at this stage it's fair to assume that KK have an intended strategy of shorting Voyeur 5/6*s. That's the second Dominance to have 3 Mythics while Voyeur only has 1 and despite the significant increase of 5* Legendaries, we're not getting any Voyeurs......

See the above:

If you've saved a lot of Combativity from seasons/PoA/PoV, you want to use the 50x option right at the start of the contest. The free regens are worth more to you than the spent Koban.

Other than that, stick to single fights. Do not fight other villians during the event. Every free regen is valuable on this event and you are simply burning your SP doing so.

I'd recommend waiting until the 3rd day to do any paid refills you're going to do so you get as many free regens as possible. Unless a complimentary Daily Contest comes up earlier, in which case I'll usually try to get a top 4 finish in that, while still leaving enough shards to collect for the free regens to be worthwhile for the rest of the MD.

Until then, 7 (upgraded) Mythics is enough. For blessings and element coverage, it's best to have 4 L5 than 1 Mythic.

With regard to the comparison of L5s to Mythics - that's a fair point, but unless you have a HUGE bank of L5s one Awakening below your current max there's a limit to that arguement. Once you run out of those upgrading from the ground floor, you'd get less than 3 L5s for the price of one Mythic in GXP and less than 2 L5s for the price of a Mythic in terms of gems. It is better to have 4 L5s purely from Blessing pov, but it's also far more costly to get 4 L5s than a single Mythic.

And that doesn't consider that each Mythic released incrimentally devalues all L5s in terms of the frequency with which they will turn up in the top 7. Of course it also incrimentally devalues other Mythics.....

I was just a little surprised to hear that you don't think you'll be able to upgrade her this year. I'll have all my L5s one Awakening below upgraded by the middle of May (estimate) and that's with having maxed Sugarmama this month.

My personal approach is to prioritise the Mythic each month and bring her up to my current Awakening level. I've just breached 650 and atm I'm waiting to upgrade my last two Mythics (Sensual and Physical as I have two of each). It is unquestionably expensive to do this but it does allow for weeks like this week - where I have 4 blessed Mythics - and there are secondary advantages (like stronger counter teams).

And I'm 100% with you on a Voyeur Mythic. I'm hoping that's what we'll see next month even though I finally caved and upgraded a load of garbage Voyeur girls and depleted my stash significantly (I had over 15k gems and holding out waiting of usable girls to spend them on just seemed futile). I've already got enough gems banked to max a Mythic and should have enough saved by the time Nike rolls around to take care of her too.

Are you only upgrading 7 Mythics pursuing 750? I picked-up Sugarmama at the start of the month so Playful gems are short right now and I will leave Moe on the shelf (I'm looking to grab Nike, Radka and maybe Arcana in a few months time and need to conserve Kobans). But even if I had gone for her I would have been able to stash enough gems to upgrade her in 2 months tops!
