I think there needs to be a distinction between "expired codes" and "unsuccessful codes". expired codes are working codes that doesn't work anymore. unsuccessful codes would be like trying a bunch of random letter combinations to see whether they work or not. We won't know when a code expires, so we might find some code from a while ago, try it and it doesn't work anymore. Which is very different from trying to exploit the system by trying a million different codes. Now when we enter a code and it says "code expired", after three times, it locks you out of trying more for one hour! That's a long wait time. We should be able to try expired codes as many times as we need
