Opponent on floor 1600 of pantheon activates Dickferno skill while I'm at 70% ego

While battling at floor 1600 as I am currently  stuck  there I decided to swap a few different team compositions and watch the whole battle.

And when I set the mythic girl that sets up a barrier (the one in black leather coat and black hat) it all went well and the opposing team was at around 30-45% ego while my barrier just got taken down and my teams ego was at 60-70% ego not even close to 30% that is required for the activation of the Dickferno skill .

Then exactly that happened , opposing team activated Dickferno instantly melting more than 60% of my ego bar and sendin me to "you lost" screen. WTF
