Village building

Browser gaming staple: The protagonist buys/receives/claims a piece of ground and starts building his own settlement. I would propose a twist on this where all harem girls can be employed in this settlement and this would replace the magically generated income.

Every girl has a hardcore (strength), charm (social skills) and know-how (intelligence) stat, those would be used as primary indicators to determine whether a girl can be employed in a certain position. Beyond that a lot of girls would get a 'special skill', for example Bunny would be 'management' and Red Battler would be a 'fighter'.

Buildings would be build using money + energy.

Every building build would have one or more slots that can be filled with girls. Some examples: The main house (allows building being build and girls being assigned to buildings) would require someone with the 'management' special skill and 1 girl per 10 girls for house keeping. The mercanary office (10 slots, gives income) would allow girls with hardcore (strength) of at least 750 or a 'fighter' special skill. The inn (10 slots, gives income) would require 2 girls with a 'cooking' skill and allow girls with charm (social skills) requirements (increasing requirement per slot). The library (5 slots, gives income) would allow girls with know-how (intelligence) of increasing requirements. The hotel (20 slots, gives income) would require 1 'management' girl and the rest girls with increasing charm requirements.

Considering there are 141 girls this would require around 14 buildings with an average of 10 slots per building. 20 buildings if you want to give the player proper choice. Technically the individual buildings would *not* get individual interiors, so only the overview drawing would be necessary (about the work of two or three event homepage backgrounds).

Problems this solves:

  • Makes the harem income more logical (how does a girl just earn that much money magically)
  • Gives a new way to spend energy
  • More choices thus making entire game more interesting (will I spend money on affection or on my settlement, will I spend energy on questing or on my settlement, etc.)
  • Gives more reason to level all girls, not just the girls you're fighting with

Possible improvements:

  • Resource management, buildings would require specific resources to be build. These could be collected through [questing]/[fighting trolls]/[specialized buildings producing this resource].
  • Upgradeable buildings (unlocks slots, increasing income)
  • Interiors for some of the buildings, exactly same as the profile harem page right now
  • Item producing buildings, for example a research building which requires girls with a 'research' special skill and produces a single item per 24 hour (like the free pachinko game, but item quality depending on the know-how (intelligence) of the girls).

What do you guys think? My goal was to think of something which would not take a lot of development, but would significantly improve the game.

Solid idea, but it´s "just" adding more "stuff" to the game. You will lose more time for "everything", whatever this everything might be and you will get less porn in proportion to befor and even more pay to win. I did see this in more than 10 free to play games all this adding this and that makes the game nice and interesting but takes more of my time and even the more so will it make the game drift in to an other stream of genre with more levers to implent possible payments, as there couldn´t be a "complete" game for free. Most free to play´s which hold their moral ground are simple and "honest" to their starting product, well that´s something everyone should know by now. PS I had some ideas like yours as well, but I see it already coming how the game get´s milked dry and someones (but not mine as I´m a scrooge=) wallet as well.
