  1. I've never noticed the symptons you mention, maybe it's your browser?
  2. Looks like Kinkoid is working on their massive probs with the session handling
  3. A moderator, my kingdom for a moderator
  4. In case you're still interested in S3, here's mine (100 players):
  5. Thx for the quick responses - and good riddance to Event Pachinko...
  6. Or are they merely collector items? Just want to get this clarified, before I quit Event Pachinko for good... Edit: 'Event', not 'Epic' Pachinko
  7. Played Event Pachinko and got two identical items. Well, not exactly identical... Glad, that I'm not spending money on Kobans
  8. BTW one of the many inexpensive ways to reduce traffic / amount of requests (=>503)
  9. Since you are using Firefox, just hit SHIFT-F5 and check the performance.
  10. And the best way to achieve this, is to post accusations in a public forum instead of sending a mail?
  11. As I mentioned in another thread, it depends on the size of the harem. In the old version, only the girls of your harem where loaded (fewer girls=higher performance), now all girls are loaded. In relation, the loss of performance is much lower for big harems than for small ones. So, the additional 9 seconds Chthugha mentioned, are no big deal, when you already got used to a certain delay, but it's another story, when it was almost realtime before. The time-gain of the tile-layout also increases significantly with the size of the harem. In addition, your network/device performance (and that of the server as well) have become more crucial. To be honest, I was quite surprised, that, with the timeout/503 probs still unsolved, they deliberately increased the traffic so significantly for such a frequently used feature.

    Ideas Main

Suggestion: Make new harem view optional Since there have already been complaints about the new version's performance, why not offer it as an addition to the old one (maybe tab-based)? So each player can decide, whether he prefers detail over performance.
  13. Depends on the device you're using. The screenshots were taken on an older notebook in a slow wlan, the game was virtually unresponsive for about two minutes. This might actually help with the 503-problem, as the traffic from mobile devices without wifi connection will drop dramatically Personally, I endorse the new features, they are worth the short delay they cause in my standard environment.
  14. Hence my second posting, it adds up Cheers
  15. Desculpa, eu nao falo portugues, vide aqui:
  16. Dunno, whether the table was meant to be an everlasting compendium, or just a one-time service to help the players to get a grip on new features. I assume the latter, but I lack the insight to confirm this.
  17. This is directly connected to the size of your harem. The server provides some raw data, calculations are done by the browser. I'm not sure, whether that problem can be fixed, without losing some convenience-features.
  18. Ah, ok, then I'm just not affected by this bug. Smells like javascript-related, it might help the devs, if those affected would provide their browser(-version).
  19. You, Sir, have some weird sense of humor. I like that
  20. I gave that a shot about ten years ago - resulting in some deeps scars on my ego and a bunch of more or less confused kids
  21. No, it could not work by timestamps, it does! Maybe HH is not a good example for a POC, but I daresay that its kind of common practice. DST is not a problem at all. Based on the server's location you either need some minor calculations twice a year ($dst_switching_timestamp, I won't go into detail here, its trivial) or simply do nothing (if the server is not affected). I hope, we don't need to discuss the utter irrelevance of the clients' time... Concerning the company: I don't know its size or wealth. They could be filthy rich. I was talking about the resources (made) available to the project (here: HentaiHeroes). Since I love metaphors, here we go again: They are riding a horse until it dies. Then they continue riding it, until the flesh drops from its bones and there's no one left they can convince to give them money to feed the poor beast. And then they take its little sister, paint it pink, mount a dildo on its forehead and in no time, you see them riding through town again - this time on an Unicorn After the starting period, they won't groom the horse anymore - unless people are throwing bags of gold at them. Let's see, whether we can apply this picture: rising amount of unfixed bugs / autistic behavior towards requests and complaints: bones shining through the hide / carrion-like odour absurd frequency of events: frenzied whipping ('Look! It moved! And how much faster could it move, If only we had the money to feed it better!') transparency: 'Of course you can pet it. Don't I keep telling you every day that you can pet it tomorrow? Oh, look! A pink elephant...' [enter your metaphor here] (Ok, that was a little off-topic, but the urge was overwhelming ) What I was trying to say: it is not an investment-friendly environment and I don't have the least problem with it (yeah, it sounded differently, so I'll specify: I don't have a problem with the way it is, but with the way it is handled). Usually, no big red button gets pushed, the lights keep burning and no puppy dies if something goes wrong with pimping some girls in HH. There is no need (and it would be ill advised) to use some over-sophisticated code here (Einstein: 'Make things as simple as possible, but not simpler'). Oh, and I never commented on the amount of queries, but if you insist: I doubt your numbers. Basically, you load the data when the session starts and save it, when the session ends . If we can trust the ToF (moan) there are about a million accounts, some of them dead, not all of them online at the same time - it doesn't need high-end hardware, to keep that in memory). Cheers Edit: just want to clarify, that the 'horse'-part was not meant to aim specifically at HH or Kinkoid, but the whole genre as such.
  22. I've grown tired of this topic, I don't want to invest to much into it anymore, so I'll stick to the facts: If the ToF-ranking 'justifies' the amount of Mojo lost/gained, it's always a 'new' account, else an 'old' one. Irrespective of this being good or bad for me, it's an inconsistency. I have learned (not only in theory, but by own experience), that inconsistencies can not be tolerated. They are like cockroaches: if you see one roach in your kitchen, you're bound to see many, many more of them soon. And if you just ignore them, they will spawn exponentially. It's not my place, to tell Kinkoid how to do their business, so I baptized my restroom's walls 'Support-Team' and discussed the problem with them. I must admit, that they are also not making much progress (yet), but at least they don't insult my intelligence
