Checked to see if a player actually lost their booster bonuses after they expired, and their stats do lower, even if their boosters are still visible, from the previous snapshot.  Which means it works correctly.  Can attack players right after their boosters expire.

Doesn't look like it works with any sort of reliability to me. I had multiple players last night whose boosters expired, and only some of them saw their stats drop. In fact, there were two whose boosters expired during the same minute - stats changed for one, but not for the other. (That player's stats didn't change on the next full snapshot either, only on the second one another six hours later.)

Might as well quote my Discord comment, I guess.

FWIW, aside from the "are the booster icons staying or going?" issue, I don't think these are new bugs, they're just more visible now that we have opponent booster information. Snapshotting after booster expiry has shown odd behaviour for a long time.

    - Players will reach the first girl without problems even without spending kobans or money in bundles if they play  regularly.

I'm not sure that's really true for players away from the late game. Including all regen + freely obtainable stuff from the various paths + the free crystal gifts (of which the one for 1000 crystals was seemingly an unintended error...), the theoretical maximum for a free player is around 7000 now. That sounds like it's well beyond the 4600 needed for the first girl, but most mid-level players are heavily restricted in how many league and season battles they can win, so they won't get anywhere near the maximum.

And that's just HH. From what I can tell second-hand, crystals from gameplay are harder to come by for most players in Comix Harem (which also didn't get the 1000 freebie), but the first girl is at 4600 there all the same. In short, it sure doesn't feel like there was any sort of coherent "players of this type should by able to reach this target, players of that type should be able to reach that target, etc." outline to the event. Outside of "getting all four girls shall require megabucks", of course.

They added a new paid bundle that gives out up to 1300 crystals.

Incidentally, this was seemingly only pushed out to people marked as spenders; I don't see the new third bundle on any non-spending alt of mine. It's all rather weird considering they made a specific bundle section inside the event screen (where this new one does not appear since there are only two listing spots) and the two original bundles are time limited to only a few days to begin with and likely to be succeeded by more of the same.

To anyone else: if you have actual info or data on this "3-day cooldown for random daily contest picks" theory, please share. Don't be afraid, I don't bite. I do call out bullshit, though. Thanks in advance.

Since I just came across this and it was never really cleared up, I was the one that first broached the topic a long time ago.

Based on ongoing data collection before and since that post, I can confirm that no contest generated on HH.com between 18/Aug/2020 and 02/Mar/2022 saw its type repeat earlier than after 4 days. The 03/Mar/2022 contest was then repeated after just 2 days (with Nutaku and the test server seeing repeats show up a couple of days earlier already, IIRC). The restart of faster repeats appeared to coincide with the addition of Cumback Contests to the game, which were patched in 02/Mar/2022 (and probably a few days before that on test).

This league I wanted to play it cool and just make sure to be high enough in the post-Shal gap to earn a top 4 spot. The first surprise was that Shal apparently ran out of fucks to give (a trend that only seems to spread further among regular D3 winners of the Old Age as the transition to the New Age is approaching its end, fortunately slash unfortunately).

I've focused my gems/books usage on Mythics, so with barely any 5* legendaries up to snuff I wasn't gonna be competitive in the second set of blessings with the 25% on their rarity plus too many getting double blessed. Adding in that I was travelling during the week, confined to playing entirely by mobile (ugh) for several days and missing loads of snapshots, there was little point in making an effort just to maybe finish 4th. (It looks like I could have, but I'm okay with the almost no-cost top 15.) I did win the week before that, so I haven't quite thrown in the towel yet. :P

Commiserations on the near-miss...the last I'd seen of the live standings on Thursday was with your 2-point lead and I figured it had held. :|

Might as well, I guess - my result for the league ended April 14:

    image.png.de505f7c8e9496300b315cb3be96beb1.png

A PSA: Apparently players who get banned from the game now disappear from their league immediately rather than giving the "you can't fight him" error, which is what happened in mine around reset on the Tuesday of that week. Luckily I'd already fought the banned guy (and pretty sure Nonya had as well, they only had two or three people left by that time). My actual average there was 23.79, the script was taking me to have done three battles fewer than I actually did.

I also started picking up more clues on how Mister Master @_shal_ operates; that might help me to a lesser extent for future leagues (at the very least the next time we cross paths). I now know for sure he likes playing with his food, and he definitely is Keyser Söze. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was making people believe he doesn't exist. Here's a former legend deliberately showing his "opponents" (aka his food) such a weak team for his level and aura that I legit asked myself if he was about to quit the game during that week. And then, exactly like the last time, I noticed he was sitting pretty at #5 (right behind me at the time) on Wednesday. And then of course he casually went up, and up, and up, all the while disguised as a beggar in need of some spare change. And, although I haven't seen the final rankings, it's a clear certainty that he won that D3, easily. So easily that he likely put more effort into hiding his true power from us actual bums than into eating us all alive (and still being hungry).

Bad week to be picking up clues on my normal gameplay, since I went about this one basically backwards from the usual. xD For normal weeks I've settled into using one All Mastery booster to ensure a decent shot at a top 4 finish, usually using it right at the start to take out some/most of the toughest opponents, and then I'll coast through the rest of the week with very little optimizing. I've almost completely stopped taking notes on league opponents - praise be to Rosso for how his boneheaded design decisions have convinced me to spend much less time on this game (almost certainly an outcome the exact opposite of what he was going for).

However, this week looked actually winnable (for the first time since gems reared their ugly head), so I decided to use two AMs. Bad idea with PoA starting a couple of days into the league week though, so the first two and half days were spent fighting (for 106 battles without AM, and no refilling at all) the weakest opponents I could find, just so I could do season fights in parallel at least for the first two PvP tasks in PoA. Then AM boosters for the remaining 200 league battles, and finishing PoA exclusively with those; not a particularly fun exercise BTW.

Looks like I could have won this one more cheaply; I expected more of a threat particularly from Dudule, and possibly from Regret. We shared a league just two weeks earlier as well, where we both coasted to this finish:

    image.png.d8e5bc9ed4206f21a27f616cbbdf6aea.png

Didn't know if he would also see our second meeting as a chance to win, or just coast again.

In any case, my team actually is weak by top player standards, what you saw is what I have available. Refusing to do market refills for books means I have no girls above 550 yet, and I'm only now approaching the point where I'll even be capable of awakening beyond 550, i.e. I'm about to fulfill the 60-girl requirement. Getting the necessary books to actually put girls at 600 is still some time away. (And I'm mostly looking at it as a way to make coasting through leagues more convenient, not to get back to regular contender status.)

If what Rosso says is true about 24000 gems being about one month worth of progress, then most free players who are currently in D3 will be up to level 700 within 6 months. For a "waiting game" played over the course of years, this is going to be a very quick transformation and if you get complacent you might fall behind. I'm only level 434, and based on my spreadsheet plan, I anticipate to have my first level 650's before the end of the year. If you're still sitting at level 500 by the end of December, you aren't going to be D3 anymore.

I would say you vastly overestimate both the available resources and the level of efficiency of the average D3 player.

I got that, but it does not say the gem type... For example common level 251 requires 40 gems. Is it any 40? Or some specific gems? And if it does not require any specific ones why are there so many gem types then?

The colours and the names of the gem types correspond with the eight girl elements.

Yes. But when your team is done against a champion, you see the girls in the team. Then you can level up these girls, and be stronger against this champions. According to me, it has to be counted in pros.

I sure hope nobody at level 250+ is going to be silly enough to waste gems to awake random girls they won't otherwise use just for a slightly stronger champion run.

Huh, and I recall seeing shal as one of the more reasonable forum members...

I'm getting the implication that this Rosso individual is behind all of the negatively recieved updates and hence the attacks on him? I'm missing some info so please dont take my guesses the wrong way, I'm just observing that the last 6 months there's been A LOT of negative updates to this game and that this is incredibly divisive between prominent community members, and outright alienating and pissing off the majority of the playerbase, and this is a very bad sign.
If they have any sense left, they'll read the room and the feedback and reconsider their bad ideas, but if I were to guess from their past mistakes, that's not gonna happen... sad :(

He's the creative mind behind the original vision of HH and may or may not still be the majority owner of Kinkoid and/or its parent company Gaming Adult. He freely admitted on Discord that his current modus operandi is to play a lot of other games and try to bring features that catch his eye there into Kinkoid's games. Entirely optional in that approach: Any sort of concern for how the latest addition will interact with everything that already exists in the game.

Ah, and it was super fun noticing @_shal_ hiding in plain sight one literal point behind me when I was at #4 before the last day brawl. ^^ Well played, sensei. Well played indeed.

Not hiding as much as just slow-playing that league because I was pretty sure I was on course for this kinda final result:

(Last 80 battles without AM, last 11 without boosters altogether. Could have gone even cheaper, I guess, but earlier in the week I didn't expect it to become quite such a blowout.)

Well 10x1 orbs give a bit less of chance to get a girl but a bit more legendary items, so yes it is quite equivalent. But nevermind.

I can also put it this way

    Old system :   D3 winner : 1 x10 Epic orb           |             30 x1 Epic orbs shared by the others

    New system : D3 winner : 6 x1 Epic orb             |             26 x1 Epic orbs shared by the others

Doesn't really look like something i could qualifie as "give more to the lower tiers"

Is there really nobody that is going to correct this utter nonsense by a newbie poster who clearly has no idea about either the game or about basic arithmetics?

Counts exclusive of what the D3 winner gets:

    old
    D3: 3x6 + 11x3 = 51 EP1 across 14 winners
    D2: 1x6 + 3x4 + 11x2 = 40 EP1 across 15 winners
    D1: 1x4 + 3x2 + 11x1 = 21 EP1 across 15 winners
    S3: 1x2 + 3x1 = 5 EP1 across 4 winners
    S2: 1 EP1 winner
    -------------------------------
    Total: 118 EP1 across 49 winners

    new
    D3: 3x4 + 11x2 + 30x1 = 64 EP1 across 44 winners
    D2: 1x4 + 3x2 + 26x1 = 36 EP1 across 30 winners
    D1: 1x3 + 3x2 + 11x1 = 20 EP1 across 15 winners
    S3: 1x2 + 3x1 = 5 EP1 across 4 winners
    S2: 1 EP1 winner
    -------------------------------
    Total: 126 EP1 across 94 winners

(Implicitly assumes that all five league tiers are in equilibrium in order to make sense as a summation, but that's probably not far off the truth nowadays.)

In D3 it's obviously good to see more epic orbs shared among more players, and getting an orb reward for D2 16-30 is also a significant improvement. The latter at a cost of slightly fewer orbs getting awarded in D2 and D1 in total, but if D3-caliber players stop vulturing in those tiers it's arguably a win for tier-appropriate players, too. (Disclaimer: While they're okay on their own, of course these changes don't come close to making up for the recent EP1 nerfs in other parts of the game.)

    And back to lurking.

entwine will be unbeatable, my main competition for a top 4 spot should be Majin Laufeyson and hell (both had 6 wins on reports posted in here from a few weeks ago). At level 458 there's also cypion31 with whom I've had some close battles in the more distant past; he always was and still is Charm (with Estelle), so that might bear watching. Incidentally, entwine is Charm now, too.

No idea if any other top 4 threats are lurking out there; stupid corrupted league stats.

I'm going to switch back to KH now as I mentioned last week.

Fiel (46) and Alucard (22) are still listed correctly with their D3 win totals, Gnussyking (23 in September) and isi (4 in October) are not. I don't really feel like checking through the rest of the field, since most players probably have bogus data now. On a quick check I did spot Lolilover at level 457 as well (10 wins in October), so chances are high that I'm not gonna finish top 4 here. Meh, just a lame duck week before I switch back to KH, so I might as well see what it gets me.

Oh, I just noticed that I spoke too soon. Alucard's profile did list 22 wins when I checked earlier, but now it's a best result of 13th place. xD Must have claimed his rewards after I looked him up initially.

Weird league. There are 20 players down to level 449, then...nothing until level 443, where I'm part of a 5-player group. For a few more hours anyway, as I'm about to level up. 423.5 is the median.

Their profile didn't get updated at all and still says that 3rd is their best result. Yeah, that appears to confirm that the wiping happened at the end of the most recent leagues (probably on claiming the rewards). Frewia was listed with 2 wins before, and finished 6th in the bracket we just shared.

(I only grabbed the data for my previous league earlier today, so it was definitely still correct ~6 hours ago.)

    Outcome:

    image.png.5f47c878cbb28c702196fda178d2278e.png

22.62 is my second-best average ever after last week's ungodly near-23, but this time it was buoyed by a massively beneficial critting week...I ended up scoring 5.4 points per opponent from them, compared to 4.7 and 4.8 in the other two weeks I've played as Charm, so that alone has accounted for about 60 extra points this week. Without that I'd have finished roundabout the same score as my clubmates @Chthugha and @Tommy55 (22.41).

spheedy's victory was never in doubt, of course, although it demonstrates just how little one can do against a massive level advantage - with just two hours to go he was still somewhere below 4500 points, so he had to rush through well over 100 battles without any optimization at all at the end. Still almost a 23 average.

Only one opponent this week that I had to do while they were boosted, and annoyingly it was somebody who demoted with 0 points. Some people...

I won't be picking up Alexa until tomorrow, so I'll be playing the upcoming season as Charm again. After that I'll certainly switch back to KH, at least to experiment and see how much that class stands to benefit from the 6* girl. Long term I have no idea yet.

Top 15 by class: KH, Ch, KH, KH, 6x Ch, 5x KH. Top HC in 19th place. Prize cutoffs: 15th 6317, 16th 6309 (20.82), 30th 5793, 31st 5763 (19.02). Wow, high scores required this week.
