Drop rate does seem to be very low, I've gotten more shards for non-event girls than for the event ones. That said, I am kinda satisfied with that since we've gotten 13 extra fights on day one with the calendar suggesting that there will be additional freebies every day. So I'll reserve judgment for now. Going forward, my plan is if I find I'm at above 90 shards on a girl in the last hours of the event I'll do some refills. Otherwise I'll hold my kobans. And it needs to be said: spending boatloads of kobans on the first day of any event, let alone the first 6 hours, is a bad idea. Especially for these events, since its been announced that there are a month long series of anniversary events. This first event is probably a honey trap for koban spenders with better opportunities down the road.

I'm experiencing this too. But in the office, if you click on a girls face in the roster, you can get to her harem screen and spend affection on her.

There's a gift of an extra 3 fights to be had. I had to log out and log back in to get it.

It's been 5 weeks, at what point is snarkiness justified? Seriously, let's look at the changes of the past 5 weeks. Week 23: -Contest notifications added. Enough has been said about these. Week 24: -New design for Activities page; don't care -New girls images in High Definition, the images will load a bit slower but the quality will be better; bad change, fast load time is much more important. Week 25: -The zodiac signs of the girls have been added; OK.... we already had birthdays, anyone who cares about astrology that much probably already knew their signs just from the birthday. -Visual issue from “Daily Mission” reward Kobans will not longer display old and new design at the same time; an improvement, but this was a pretty minor issue. -Pachinko: fixed the display problem with Depraved Nika and Tainted Hari; after that event was already over. Week 26: -Visual bug “Leagues visual fake refill” issue has been fixed; Good, an actual improvement to the game. Week 27: -Button to hide/show texts; The new button is not better or worse than the old. Waste of time. Week 28: -Contest notifications shrunk; good but not what people have been asking for Maybe, but Kinkoid isn't exactly the Red Cross. They have their own selfish motivation in keeping the player base happy. And dragging their feet on these notifications is just compounding with dissatisfaction from other bad changes and the feedback that was ignored on that. Is it any surprise that players are annoyed and frustrated? I won't pretend that I'm above this kind of thing, but you shouldn't either.

It's better, but I'd still prefer if they were gone entirely. Will you still be working towards that?

1. You always get 4 things. It might be possible (but I'm not sure) to get 4 legendary items. 2. Well, you're 1 step closer (out of like 150) to getting ALL the avatars, after that you'll only get books, boosts or girls from free mythic pachinko spins. That's the only good avatars do. 3. Around 20% chance of a girl. I don't remember where I read that. My advice: don't pay kobans for event pachinko, only use it when you have orbs for it.

Are you keeping a tally on how many total work hours have gone into the contest notifications, both creation and destruction? Cause I would really, REALLY love to know how much time was spent on a feature that everyone hates.

If that's a serious concern, you can get a smoke detector for deaf people. Some have really bright strobe lights, others will shake your pillow.

I think you're overestimating your needed tickets, my last stage took 23 tickets, with 2 enemy position matches in the rotation.

Here's what I'm doing, remains to be seen how effective it is: Cash I spend as I get it. I can't win contests that require spending cash, and I don't care. If PoA requires more cash than I have, use epic orbs. On kobans, I kind of judge on a case by case basis. How badly do I want girl A? How badly do I want girl B? etc. But a girl is never worth more than 5400 kobans. Likewise for event orbs and mythic single orbs, save until there's a girl you really want available. Epic orbs are used when I feel I really need an equipment upgrade, or need cash immediately. Currently have 36. Mythic multi-orbs I'm planning to bank up until I have enough to gain all girls available (to me) in a mythic cycle. Long way to go here. Tickets I will bank up to 50, then start a new champion "block" (for lack of a better word) taking me down to 25-30, repeat. Books: Always buyout on a fresh market. Save for contests. Gifts keep a reserve of 10 of each green, and piles of grey. These are just so I can make sure a girl gets EXACTLY as much affection as she needs without going over. Yellows and purples are spent immediately. We haven't needed affection for contests or PoA yet, so pay attention to the test server announcements to see if that's going to change. Boosts I've been hoarding, I have no real plan on how/when to use them for now, so just letting them pile up.

I've learned something about the contest registration. One of my alt accounts is not enrolled in the 3rd legendary contest, probably because I haven't logged into the account since Tuesday, more than 72 hours prior to this morning's reset. I did have the 26th+ prize to claim from the first and second contest though. So that 72 hour mark is counted for each individual contest. Probably not relevant to forum users, but

The ONLY difference I'm really seeing between POA and LC is that in LC all your hard work and preparation can be nullified by last minute snipers.

POA is like that. The ticket issue was a big problem for the last one, but POA at least has the potential to be a really good and fun event. After some major tweaking at least.

The point is that it shouldn't be. Maybe, but you can see your progress and kind of have a predictor of your success. I.E I've done 60 fights so far and gotten 36 shards, I have 80 free fights remaining. If my drop rate holds I should be able to get to 100 with 2 refills. Then you can adapt based on any changes that happen and make a semi-informed decision about whether to spend.

My issue with these contests is that someone's success or failure is not entirely within that player's control. If you put in the time and effort to find yourself in 4th then in last few minutes someone else decides to drop kobans, even if it's not that many, then you're screwed. With POA at least you can see your failure coming, and a success won't be snatched away from you at the last minute.

People are going a bit nuts in the orb prizes contests. My 41st place comes from 5 points for my free daily spin, and that's where I'll stay. If I can't get first in the remaining set, I'd prefer the random legendary gear from 26th+ to the mythic orbs, seeing as I'm a bit behind in my affection levels and need the money.

That's not a good reason at all, there could and should be koban gift cards only purchasable with real cash and not kobans.
