  1. Things are progressing nicely for me so far. Without spending any koban (except for unlocking the second path of rewards), I'm currently on step 15, with 42/45 PvP wins obtained. I'm gonna have to wait for a couple of hours for my first 4 champions to be available again for step 16, though. The timing for the last "Spend energy" step was perfect for me as I reached it during the evening, just before going to bed, so with the 125 free energy rewards from the previous step and the refill from the night, I hardly had to wait at all to beat that step. Anyway, with 6 days left, I shouldn't have much trouble finishing this event.
  2. You can buy Champion Tickets for 60 energy each. EDIT : Go to Champions, then "Reception Desk" and you'll see the option to buy tickets for 60 energy.
  3. You get the first set of rewards for free (the rewards on the right side), and you can pay 7200 to get the second set of rewards (the ones in the left column) - if that's your question.
  4. The first PoA event did require us to waste resources, because we had no idea what was in store and we were not prepared. This is the 3rd one though, so now we know... If you're prepared and don't sell your items between PoA's, you don't have to waste any money on Great Pachinko pulls. And unless you're really broke and you need that cash right away during the month, there's no difference between selling those trash items now or earlier. Their value is the same.
  5. Didn't you save all the equipment you gained since last PoA, knowing you would definitely need them this time as well ? Every day, you gain some gray items from daily quests, for example. I still have 120+ items to sell, after going through the first "selling" step. Hoarding (everything) from PoA to PoA is the way to go now...
  6. Yeah, I'm currently on step 6, with 29 energy left. I used up the first energy (and some of the combativity) rewards because I figured it would be the same, using them now or later. I guess I'll save my kobans, thanks. I'm always scared to run out of time in PoA but, so far, for both previous PoA's, there was actually more than enough time for me to finish without trouble (and kobans).
  7. I'm wondering if I should use kobans to refill my energy for the "Spend energy" steps. It seems like it's going to be a large timesink if I have to wait it out. How long does it take to get 180 energy? 21 hours or so? And there's another step that requires 250 energy further down the line... What do you guys think about this ?
  8. I ended up getting 3 girls from the bosses after a slow start (it took me more than 3 days to get the first girl), a lucky 100-shard drop, and a couple of refills for the last girl. However, I realized after getting my 3rd girl, when the event was already almost over, that I had somehow missed 2 of the boss girls that I would have been interested in. Oh well, I'll get them another time...
  9. 4 refills, 2 refills... Not sure if I'm the unlucky one with 11 refills...
  10. I'm done with this event too. I got one girl (Yuna Lola), at the cost of 4.5~ days of combativity + free points + 11 refills. It definitely is the worst anniversary event I've ever seen.
  11. Do you know how many refills it took you to get her ? So far, after 4 days, a bit of free combativity and 2 refills, I only have 50 shards...
  12. You see, that's where you're mistaken. We kinda know how HH works (you have an x% chance to receive shards, and when you do, you get a random number of shards within the drop range - these numbers may or may not be evenly distributed across that range, I have no idea), but it doesn't really matter here. What matters is the way we calculate the drop rate. And the very definition of the term "drop rate" (expressed in %) is : How many drops (shards) would one get in average after killing the same mob (villain) 100 times ? I'll take an example with stupid numbers, just to show what I mean : Let's say we have 2 events : - In the first event, the villain has a 100% chance to drop shards, but he actually only ever drops 1 shard (range 1..1). - In the second event, the villain only has a 10% chance to drop shards, but when he does, he drops exactly 20 of them (range 20..20). With your definition, the first event has a much better drop rate (100%) than the second event (10%). However, it's easy to see that the drop rate for shards is actually much higher in the second event : It takes 100 kills to get the 100 shards in the first event, whereas in the second event, it would only take 50 kills (in average... more than that if you're unlucky like me ;)). Thus, the first event has a 100% drop rate, whereas the second event has a 200% drop rate (ie : if you do 100 fights, in average, you will get 200 shards - but your mileage may vary, as they say) To sum things up : The probability to get a random number of shards from a villain fight in an event (what you call the drop rate) doesn't help you estimate how many kills it might take for you to get 100 shards, and it also doesn't let you compare events to see which one is "more generous" (or should I say "less stingy"?). The real drop rate takes into account that probability to get shards, as well as the number of shards you may get at once (what you called the drop range).
  13. I don't really agree with this. Usually, in games, when you express a "drop rate" of 50% for an item, that means that out of 100 kills of a monster, you will get in average 50 drops. If the monster often or always drops multiple copies of the same item, the drop rate will be higher than 100% (for example, if a monster is guaranteed to drop 3 copies of an item, its drop rate will be 300%) Here, the drop that we care about is the single "Shard". A villain may drop 1-4 shards at once in this event : that's the drop range, agreed. However, the drop rate is : Out of 100 kills of a single villain, how many shards would you get in average ? It's not : Out of 100 kills, how many times will you get a random number (1..4) of shards ? And the first definition is so much more interesting, because it allows you to estimate how many kills one would need to get the 100 shards they need (and to compare with other events). So, basically, that "drop range" you mentioned is actually factored in the "drop rate" we're talking about. That being said, the drop range, the drop rate, and everything else are bad in this event, so...
  14. This could have been a good party, had the drop rate been good or even decent. The drop rate is horrendous as it is now. There are MANY girls available from bosses indeed but, with such a ridiculous shard drop rate, it seems pretty much impossible to obtain even just ONE girl in 5 days, without several refills... This ain't no anniversary celebration. Usually, in F2P games, players look forward to that yearly event because they know they'll get lots of free stuff. It looks like it's definitely not the case here on HH. That's too bad. [EDIT] After one day in the event, with all the combativity gained during the day, 13 free combativity points (10 from the code + 3 from the "daily present") and 2 refills, I only have 18/100 shards for my girl of choice. Definitely not possible to get one single girl in 5 days without refills unless you're lucky, much luckier than me.
  15. This thread is a great idea, thank you. Like many people, I do not have any social media account, and I'm sure I've been missing a lot of free codes from kinkoid... Well, not any more, hopefully !
  16. The gifts come from the pop-up with "special offers". You may have to log out and log back in to make the pop-up appear and get your present (or maybe just click on "Special Offers" at the bottom of the main page ?)
  17. To be honest, they don't even need to implement an option to toggle that feature on or off. They just need to make it less obnoxious : It should NOT freeze the page and prevent you from doing what you want to do immediately (ie click on your next action), and it should not hide anything important when it's displayed. In other words, players should be able to completely ignore that information if they don't need it at this instant. Also, if they want to make this feature useful, they could also add more information, like your current ranking in the contests, or your progress for the current step in PoA (that could be very useful, for example for the "Spend XXX money" steps).
  18. I finished the event and obtained the 2nd girl a little while ago. No koban used. There's still plenty of time left, so I guess I was worried for nothing. Now, I think I'd like to unlock the second set of rewards, because after all, the event is called "Boobies Wars", and as everyone know : Tits are life (ass is hometown). Unfortunately, I don't have enough Koban right now. If I managed to win one contest before the end of the event, with the 150 we get every day from the quests, I could afford it, but I pretty much never win those contests...
  19. I had 98 tickets when the event started, so basically, I don't need any extra tickets. My only limitations for the champions are the champions themselves and their timers.
  20. To be honest, assuming you have the necessary resources (tickets etc), this event mainly requires you to be in front of the game every 15 (for champions) or 30 minutes (for Arena fights) if you want to have enough time to complete all the tasks in time. Not much planning involved.
  21. It's not a matter of challenge, but whatever. Back to the subject : Without spending any koban, I unlocked the first girl, and I'm currently on my first real bottleneck, at step #10 : Defeat 100 Villains. With 20 combativity stored, 30 points obtained as rewards from the event's previous steps and 2 obtained from yesterday's contest, I'm currently at 52/100, which means I need 48 more Villain kills. We earn one point back every 30 minutes, so this single step will take me 24 hours (a bit less if I can get a couple of points from today's contest and daily quests). It's a pretty big deal for an event that only lasts 7 days... But it still seems to be feasible. For the next steps : - 60 PvP wins = At the very least, if I win every Arena fight : 20 arena refreshes = 10 hours (as I said before, I get owned in the Tower of Fame so I can't count on wins over there) - 80 Champion tickets : No idea how long it will take. I have 4 Champions unlocked, and all of them currently are at the boss stage so they're hard for me to beat, which, for once, is good. If I beat Champion #4, I'll also unlock #5, which is also good. Regardless, this step will also take quite a few hours, but if all goes well, I shouldn't have any 24-hour wait on this step - 70 PvP wins = Again, counting only on Arena fights, it will take at least nearly 12 hours. I think I can do it... For the record, F2P player, level 240.
  22. You also need to remember that without the F2P players, the whales would have nobody to compare to and feel superior about, thus they would not pay money for this game and they would play a different game with lots of F2P peons that they can crush with their almighty wallet. Never forget that a game doesn't attract whales if it doesn't have players.
  23. The first girl shouldn't be too hard to get. I'm currently on stage 4 with 24/30 villains defeated. The second girl, on the other hand... Anyway, now I know. After the first PoA event, I thought it would be a good idea to save up some resources for the next one, so I saved 40 pieces of equipment instead of selling them, I have 98 Champion tickets and I have 10k xp worth of books for my girls. But with this new event, they pushed the requirements up to another level... 40 sellable items ? Not enough. 98 Champion Tickets ? Not enough. Money ? I have 13.5M, because I thought I should rank my girls up a bit. Bad idea : Not enough money. So what does this new event teach me ? Well, now I know that I gotta save ALL of my resources, and not use anything, because I don't know what kind of requirements we will have for the next PoA event. So basically, if I want to be able to have results in the next PoA events, I can't afford to do anything with my money, sellable items, champion tickets, XP books, and most likely Affection items too. All the resources. It's some pretty bad game design according to me, but whatever. I'll hoard and save everything up. Also, too bad I get my ass brutally handed to me in every single fight I do in the Tower of Fame (my current bracket is way out of my league, not sure how I got up there exactly), that means I gotta rely entirely on the Arena to get my PvP wins...
  24. It's funny how the OP whines madly about his lost privileges - which he had for YEARS - while at the same time calling EU players "crybabies". He also went as far as using the tag "discrimination" for his topic ! Funny guy... To be honest, if the devs had really wanted to cater to european players, they would have put the "day change" time between 9pm and 11pm (UTC+1), which would be a very comfortable time for most EU countries. Anyway, I'm not a competitive player so I don't care much about the change, but I can see how it's better for the dev team and their work schedule, if they're from EU (and I believe they are). For me, it's pretty strange though, having the daily stuff change right in the middle of the day. It doesn't feel natural, like, when you get up in the morning, it's a new day in game too. Now the "game day" changes at 1pm, it feels weird, but it's fine.
