This is a discussion forum after all, even if it's for a porn game. I'm not sure if you're even aware of that ? Read it again if you're not. That being said, you mentioned that some terms have different meanings in different places. That's sometimes true, but oranges and apples are different fruits, and in Japan, a pachinko is a pachinko, and a gachapon is a gachapon. (For anyone actually interested : it can also be spelt gashapon, and that's an onomatopoeia - "gasha gasha" or "gacha gacha" is the noise when you rotate the lever-thingy, then "pon" when your precious random item drops down - Japanese people LOVE onomatopoeia, even for stuff that don't actually make any noise O_o like "kira-kira" for shiny stuff or whatever.... But can it still be called an onomatopoeia if it's not a sound ?) So anyway, feel free to look up pachinko on the net and see what it is precisely, and gachapon as well. Or don't, and keep thinking whatever you want to think. Not my problem, but don't get angry about it towards me. Last thing. If you check my profile, you will see that most of my forum posts were made in the pachinko threads, to post my results (because I find it very useful to do that - if someone takes the time to aggregate the data and extract statistics out of it, then as much data as possible must be collected). So, why did I rarely post anywhere else ? Well, the answer is simple : because some people, through their attitude, make this forum unpleasant and unwelcoming. There was for example a former moderator, whose messages were constantly either condescending, arrogant or downright insulting - I've never been targetted by those messages but I've witnessed them countless times. And then there's your attitude @DvDivXXX, comfortably hiding behind your "polite" passive-aggressive messages, which are anything but appreciated. So anyway, I apologize for posting a message that I thought would be interesting and would bring relevant and correct information to my fellow forum members. That was most definitely out of place, and thus, I promise it will not happen again. I don't think I can delete my forum account as it must be linked to my game account, so I'll just try my best to stay away from the forum altogether from now on. However, within the HH "lore" - as suggested by the name of the contest "Show off in the casino" - we could imagine that the girls get attracted to the player when he spends lots of money(kobans/orbs) playing real pachinko - some kind of "High-roller" attraction or something. That would be plausible, IF the girl didn't replace the item you would have gotten otherwise (eg jujubes).

Pachinko and "gacha" (gachapon) are two unrelated things in Japan. What we have in this game (and in most free to play games) are "gachapon", that is : You put your currency in the machine (coins in real life, orbs or kobans in HH) and in return, you get a random item from the machine's item pool. It's usually aimed at kids (and collectors) with little collections of toys, but you can also find Gacha machines in Japan with "adult" goods (porn DVD's, sex toys...) Pachinko has nothing to do with that. Pachinkos are machines in which you put little metal balls that roll down the game, hitting little metal pins that change their trajectory and make them fall down in one hole or another. And depending on where they fall, you may get more little balls to play longer and/or to exchange for items. Pachinko kinda reminds me of those games that we often see at the funfair around here, those games with "fake coins pushing fake coins to hopefully make more fake coins drop" (not easy to describe, but I guess anyone who's seen those games before will understand what I'm talking about 😛 ). I did my best but that 200 villains step is just impossible to pass without spending a lot of kobans (and then even more kobans for the last step and the 100 PvP wins). Anyway, if anyone had told me that I would one day spend 208M Ymen on 300 stupid gems, I would have laughed. Well now, I'm definitely not laughing. This whole PoA was horrible and terrible. It was a waste of resources and time. The requirements were higher than normal and the rewards were worse. Is that the Christmas Spirit ? Seriously, what the hell is wrong with the devs ? I mean, nobody wants this patch to be delayed. I'm pretty sure most people want it CANCELLED. And yeah, money was spent coding it, well that sucks but if a feature is bad, it's bad. Delete that dev branch and forget it ever existed. Forcing it in production anyway is a VERY bad move, as SoggyShorts said above. To be honest, the probability for me to quit the game when this "feature" arrives is very high. I could deal with all the bad decisions and bad patches that happened this year, but this one's too big and too horrid. No big deal for Kinkoid, though : I'm not a whale. But I probably won't be the only one leaving. That's too bad, because there were pretty good changes recently, especially the new battle system along with the weekly bonuses that force you to change your team regularly instead of using always the same 3 girls. That was a great improvement, even though the latest "elemental" thing is way too complicated. But the fact that they chose to implement that stupid "gem" feature rather than give us a decent user interface to set our teams up shows that Kinkoid's priorities are in all the wrong places.

But if you really want the strongest girls possible for every single week, you must have those 3 star girls. Otherwise, your performance won't be optimal ! For example, this week it would be Alura/Harper/Akari, and next week Cleo or Samara (although there are other 5* options). Those are supposed to beat all the 6* Mythics (again, if that spreadsheet is correct...)

Actually, with the old system, having 3 Mythic girls (of your class) was the way to go. But it's no longer true with the new battle system. Unless a Mythic girl gets a bonus with a weekly blessing, she probably won't be "Best in Slot" for the week. Sure, you can always make a team of 7 Mythic girls and you'll be sure to have a very strong team every week, regardless of the blessings. That's pretty "lazy", though. Switching your team around on a weekly basis is the way to go if you want the best team possible every week. So, having a lot of different girls can be better than having all the Mythics. And that's what I like about this new system, in spite of the totally shitty UI that makes setting up your team a living nightmare. For example, this week, if that spreadsheet is accurate, the Mythic girls' power is ranked at #11. Next week, they will be #13. That means there are 10/12 girls better than any of the Mythic girls, and you're likely to have many of them if you have many girls in your harem. Besides, in addition to the 15-20k kobans needed to get her, the Affection cost to upgrade a single Mythic girl to 6* is beyond ridiculous, so I can't imagine having 7 fully upgraded Mythic girls in my team... (I do have 5 Mythic girls in my harem, but none of them are at 6*, the price to pay is preposterous) Anyway, back on PoA topic : I'm currently on step #26 (200 Villains), and I think that's the biggest, steepest slope of the event, if you're trying to get through without using extra kobans (not including the 7200 for the extra rewards of course). After using all the rewards from PoA and the ones saved from Seasons, I still need 140 Combativity. It would take nearly 3 days for this to refill naturally, which wouldn't leave much time for the following steps. I probably won't be able to clear everything without using kobans on refills.
