What are those dating tokens for?

Hi Everyone, I encountered a issue where my screen is cut in half and i see a small version on the game on the left side of my screen. The right side is red like the normal game but its just blank space. It just happened today around 12 so I was wondering if this happened to anyone else. I am using a new Pixel XL phone.
