  1. For some people it might be quicker to start a new account and skip all optional girls until they get to Samane if they want to get a 5 star Samane as soon as possible. You can probably do it in under two months from scratch, if you burn all bonus kobans on energy. It really depends on what slot Samane is going to be when you get her. If your upgrade cost is going to be excessive then it could take forever to get enough affection just to find out you now need to spend 20+ million cash as well. However, if you ignore every optional girl, you can get Samane in slot 9. A 9th slot 5 star girl costs 23,985 affection and 10,178,100 total cash to upgrade; unless I messed up my math. That's a lot more reasonable than, say a slot 30 Samane, who costs affection 79,950... Then you get to pay the 29 million it costs to move her from 4 to 5 stars... Not to mention the 4.75 million it cost just to get her to 4 stars in the first place. Anyhow, my point is.... If you really really really wanted a 5 star Samane. And she was going to be in like the 40 slot when you got her... You could just start over instead. It would probably be quicker (sadly). Is it worth it? Probably not but, but well it would have the added benefit of having a dirt cheap 5 star Princess Agate, as well. Edit: There may be a hidden cap on the 4th and 5th stars for 5 star girls in slots above 20 but I can't verify this myself currently. It costs too much just to get them to 3....
  2. Well higher income would certainly help mitigate the increasingly inflated costs as your harem grows. Too bad they nerfed that. The value of kobans keep dropping as well (not sure why they wanna nerf those... don't they want people to buy them..?).
  3. Exactly... ASAP. Before you get other girls. If you get other girls first, then it can take you quite a bit longer to upgrade the best girls for your class. It will probably take me at least an extra month to upgrade Samane once I get her, because I got too many girls. If I instead got her as early as possible (as my 9th girl), it would have taken me probably a week at most; even with the reduced income (and the fact that my trolls would be unleveled). And if I wanted to switch to lover at this moment, because I like Jessie and they're upgrading her... It would cost me over 55,000,000 cash to upgrade Abrael, Jessie, and Noemy. Plus my market charm isn't maxed like my know-how and hardcore are... It doesn't even matter that they gave us a free class change, because the built in economy of the game is so punishing that you can't change classes once you're locked in anyway. Yeah, it's not an ideal setup in the first place. The game shouldn't punish you for collecting the girls if you want to pvp (especially when it is advertising its "PVP" on newgrounds). This is just my recommendation for new players who want to build strong teams and don't want to feel like they punished themselves for grabbing every girl they could instead of the best girls. If you're patient and go for the best girls first, then you can eventually start grabbing all the girls without the penalty really effecting you anymore... Because who cares if the 3 star girls who have crappy stats cost an arm and a leg to upgrade anyway? You get next to nothing for upgrading them to the third star anyway, just a new sprite. You get to see the new scenario before you even pay the ridiculously inflated upgrade cost (still have to pay the inflated affection cost though). The return on investment is months down the road compared to the upgrade cost for even some of the early girls. Oh, and I never said to skimp on upgrading and buying stuff. I just said to avoid actions that give you optional girls early. Get your target girls first. This whole thing would be a moot point if the girls' incomes scaled with their costs like they should... But they don't. Each girl gets more expensive than the last, but all 3 star girls give essentially the same income (with a difference of 1 or 2 cash per hour...); only their timers differ.
  4. During a contest I spent a ton on great pachinko and ended up with at least 2 SS legendary rewards (and one legendary charm only equipment). So great pachinko is possible as well. But it's total RNG.
  5. Her face should be there in the rewards at the bottom of the pre-battle screen if you haven't gotten her yet (will be alternating with other girls if there is more than one available but you can hover over them to see them all). I play on the pc... So, I'm not aware if the interface is different on other devices but I assume it isn't. But all of this is actually off topic since this is a feedback topic so I wouldn't be surprised if we get moderated again.
  6. Bear with me here. A bit of a rant. As a new player who was interested in constructing a strong battle team here are some things I wish I knew a month a go when I started. First of all, the over all balance of the classes. Shagger is strong offensively in the beginning (almost overwhelmingly so) because bunny has almost no competition for several worlds as an offensive main haremette. Expert can compete because it has two decent 5 star haremettes available quickly but lover does not. The patch tomorrow should help with early lover pvp a bit, but only for players that play with a certain mindset from the start (if Jennie is like your 16th or higher haremette she isn't going to be very helpful early on due to her upgrade costs). Late game is a different story (I could be wrong here). This should change (maybe even tomorrow if they tweak Fairy's stats a little bit), but it seems to me that shagger is lacking compared to lover and expert. The world 5 and 6 haremette's are extremely powerful. I lack the experience to know for sure but I'm going to give the slight edge to expert because of the 20% bonus versus lover. It should be noted that excluding event haremettes, lover teams will have overall higher combined offense (but less excitement) after Jennie gets upgraded tomorrow (unless they nerf her base stats) and better defense as well (but that 20% will still probably kill them when the charm judge isn't active). Second of all, the over all balance of the girls. While the girls found later in the adventures or from events do seem to have higher stat averages, what is most important is their class and how many stars they have (with the exception of Ankyo who is just terrible). There are very few 5 star girls and as far I am aware they are all from the adventures. 5 star girls are almost always better than 3 star girls with very few exceptions (a few event girls here and there are pretty decent and Ankyo is terrible). This leads me to my point. The 3 star girls from bosses, epic pachinko, and events are rarely worth investing in to get (in fact they can be be harmful to get but that's my next point). Battle teams consisting of 5 star girls are usually stronger. So, from a pvp perspective (keep in mind that is what this topic is), if you invest in getting the 3 star girls sooner, it takes longer (almost exponentially longer but we'll get to that) to get your ideal team. Third of all, the main thing I wish I knew before I started. You'd think this game is about collecting girls and you'd be rewarded for collecting those girls. From a new pvp'ers perspective it's not. This game punishes you for blindly collecting girls before you're already constructed your ideal battle team. Since the strongest battle teams would be lead by late game 5 star haremette, we're talking tens of millions of cash in upgrade costs and tens of thousands of affections points that could have been avoided. For every girl you get, the cost to upgrade the next girl goes up. I've seen someone claim this stops at 20 girls, but I have over 20 girls and I haven't noticed this. Even if it stops at 20 girls the cost of the 20th girl is outrageous (especially if she is a 5 star). It is really a matter of value. If I know that, as an expert, I want to add the world 6 haremette to my team and upgrade her to 5 stars, then every girl I get adds a cost of 1,130,900 cash and 3,875 affection that I know I am going to spend. Since most girls only generate cash at a rate of 801 per hour, without upgrading it would take roughly 1412 hours per 3 star girl of me actively collecting her income to make up for the increased upgrade cost (I could realistically do that in 5-8 months). Of course, upgrading the girls gets you more income, but it also costs cash in the first place, and takes time to get any return on the investment (months in the case of girls obtained later). None of that is even worth it until after you have your battle team upgraded. It is too late for me to avoid this pitfall. All I could really do is start over. But if I started over, then I've lost what time I've already invested and I might as well just quit and do something else instead. So, on the off chance there is another new player interested in pvp, who has not yet made this mistake, I'll post what I had wish I had done. No epic pachinko (besides the forced one that gives you Ankyo ... at least she has decent income) until you have finished your battle team (I'd actually get every boss girl first as well but that is a different topic). Only do boss battles when you run out of whatever trinket is required to proceed in your adventures (you don't want to accidentally get a girl). I'd save your kobans, but if you must spend it, spend it on energy to clear your adventures faster and get to your battle team sooner. This would allow you to get your strongest girl in under 10 girls (even Fairy who should be the strongest Shagger after being upgraded tomorrow would only be the 10th girl I think) and save a great deal of cash and affection. If you wanted you could even think ahead and push all the way to the end of world 8 (they''ll probably give her 5 stars eventually too) and the world 9 haremette should be added eventually as well. Getting those at low upgrade cost would be better than getting a worthless (from a pvp perspective) 3 star girl instead.
  7. There are a couple of downsides that should be mentioned with using 10x epic pachinko early (instead of saving it until you've finished all the adventures). Granted it takes awhile to save up for epic pachinko even when winning contests but I'll mention them anyways. By getting a guaranteed girl from the pachinko the cash and affection cost of future girls will go up. I'll use a practical example. My Princess Agate (who was part of my battle team) cost somewhere around 8.7M cash to go from 4 to 5 stars because she was my 9th girl. If I had gotten her in a different order so she was my 7th girl instead, then it would have only cost me roughly 6.8M cash. This would have allowed me to upgrade her a few days sooner. The other downside to using 10x epic pachinko early is the prize pool. The regular girls you can win from boss fights are mixed in. If you continue to play long enough, you are guaranteed to get those girls from boss fights eventually. There are quite a few of them. So, the odds of you getting them instead of one of the pachinko only girls seems to be quite high (I say this from experience). If you play the 10x epic pachinko at low level and get one of the normal boss girls... well... You've got... A: A girl you were going to get anyways (I hope she is at least useful stat wise) ... B: The income from that girl (sort of helps mitigate point C) ... C: Increased affection and cash cost for upgrading future girls (hopefully those girls aren't more useful in your battle team than the girl you got) ... D: Some epic or legendary equipment at your low level that you will outgrow. You will sell this. You will probably immediately sell it in the case of most epics. It also doesn't have much relative cash value compared to what you could have gotten much later in the game ... E: Some affection and experience items. Hopefully you get more of these than you get equipment. These are far more valuable at low levels. Unlike the equipment, their value remains the same no matter what level you are when you get them. You probably can't use the experience items right away without wasting those, though. But you can hang on to them ... Anyhow, I just thought I'd point out those downsides. A counter argument to that would be to do it just for the income generation. The only problem is that upgrading the girls is more of a long term investment; since it takes a LOT of real time hours of you actively collecting a girl's income for her to pay for her own upgrade cost. So if you plan to upgrade the girls you get, then the epic pachinko will probably hurt you in the short term. It isn't even worth it if you're not going to be playing the game for more than a couple of months.
  8. I just wish it had come after I had finished typing my reply. I'm a slow typer... On topic: I get Asherandai's complaint about income. Given how it takes ridiculous amounts of real time to recuperate the investment of upgrading a single girl. (Hold your horses I'm not starting an argument... just do the math... each girl takes quite a bit of time to pay for herself...) However, from a pvp balance perspective, I think another 5 star lover was sorely needed (shagger not so much but whatever Edit: actually I take that back... a late game 5 star shagger is needed.. hopefully they tweak her stats as well).
  9. I know level 50 isn't that high, but there are still a surprising amount of Bunny mains at this level. I just beat a level 58 who had nearly 1000 more points in all three stats because he was an expert with a bunny main... So, I still had slightly more damage and ego. If he just switched his Princess Agate or Red Battler into his main slot, I probably wouldn't have been able to win.
  10. This should make charm more competitive at lower levels, as well... Since newer players don't have access to many decent charm girls for battle teams. Jennie should become a staple for newer charm players; assuming her stats increase with her new grades.
