Bertolski Posted June 25, 2020 Share Posted June 25, 2020 Every day when the daily reset takes place for the new list of daily missions to appear immediately a huge lag kicks in. Every click, it doesn't matter what you click takes like 10-20 seconds or even results into a 503 error page. Wherever you click the site sais waiting for www.hentaiheroes.com... for well over a dozen seconds before you get what you selected. This major lag goes away after a half hour orso, most of the the times after an hour or longer. A huge lag like this can only occur when either every player tries to access the site at this time or there are tons of bots performing tons of actions immediately after the daily reset overloading the system for normal players. The second case seems to be more the case. This results into the game becoming unplayable for regular people. The easiest way to fix this is just to monitor for half an hour after the daily reset and see who is overloading the system with their multiple actions that cannot be performed by a human and is clearly being done by bots. Bertolski Posted June 27, 2020 Author Share Posted June 27, 2020 Update: The day after my post about the lag issue there was zero lag after the daily reset. But at today's reset the lag is back but it is less, it takes like 2-4 seconds for a result of the action. As if all bots were gone after my initial post and some seem to have returned to tread the water. Let's see what tomorrows daily reset will be like. _shal_ Posted June 27, 2020 Share Posted June 27, 2020 (edited) It's almost like it's not caused by bots at all, just by real players, and yesterday's lag was less severe (definitely not "zero") because that day's Legendary Contest caused less strain on the server by making people only click on a donation button rather than reloading umpteen league and villain pages like Thursday's and today's did... Bertolski Posted June 27, 2020 Author Share Posted June 27, 2020 No real player will try to keep playing when every click no matter where takes 10-20 seconds to result, maybe some will but the majority will not and will return later to be able to play it as it is meant to. It can't be everyone and their grandmother trying to play at that exact specific time of the reset, how odd then that the lag only occurs after the daily reset, half hour or max 2 hours later there is zero lag all day long untill the next daily reset. It is even timed to the exact minute of the daily reset. I checked this a few times. Even one minute before the reset there is zero lag, immediately after the reset the lag starts. Had it been actual players then some of them would show up just a bit before the reset as well resulting into lag then as well. No playerbase is that punctual on any game to log in every day at the exact time of the daily reset. It is clearly an issue of bots performing multiple actions the second after the daily reset. With immediately monitoring after the daily reset it will be obvious to spot them. Turning a blind eye will only make it worse and worse, seen similar on other web games. You're clearly too new to know that it actually lags every four hours on the Tower of Fame refresh, too, albeit only for about 30 seconds. The reason is that tons of people leave their game pages open and the auto-refresh triggers a very high server load for a short time. Feel free to believe that, but it's wrong. Lots and lots of players try to time their activity patterns with the reset and are essentially required to spend their resources quickly because they'll be capped out soon after the reset, and/or want to get back to doing something else and just don't care to wait half an hour or longer until it's maaaybe better again. Thursdays additionally have people trying to start off their league battling to avoid wasting the initial 15 tokens. And it hardly requires a majority of the player base to do that; the servers are built for average load, and it doesn't take that much more to start stressing them until it becomes noticeable. This has been a recurring patterns for years. Maybe play here a little longer than three weeks before you start making grand pronouncements about what things are like around here? You can call it a coincidence all you want but since it happens every day on the exact same time then it is clearly a pattern. Even one minute before the daily reset there is no lag whatsoever, I checked this multiple times. But right after the daily reset happens the lag immediately starts. Even a blind man can see it is due to multiple actions being performed all at once obviously by bots. But do go on finding excuses for it to turn a blind eye to it. Venge33 Posted July 27, 2020 Share Posted July 27, 2020 It is unplayable at this time for sure, absolutely unresponsive for some reason, if one logs out, he can barely log back in as the log in button hardly works... All in all though I am against going back to the 5-6 am resets as for European players that was hell, who in their right minds gets up at that time to play HoF or contests? Let the US people experience that hell for some time too, but then later a more compromising time could be implemented that works for both timezones, like 19:00 UTC or so...
