Talan Posted August 27, 2021 Share Posted August 27, 2021 I have been watching the new combat system from start to finish after some auto battle turned out differently that I would have expected. I have seen battles where I am stronger in my attacked, defense, endurance and harmony and I watch and the defender will critical 5 times while I never had a critical. The old system used to give you a 50% chance for a critical and it was balanced between you and the defender % based on each harmony. That doesn't seem to work that way anymore. After watching quite a few battles it seems to error in favor of the defender. Please advise on why the system has been altered maybe inadvertently in favor of a weaker defender? Now that restriction is out and he can crit multiple times. The system now has more RNG moments, that's why you can sometimes expect "ridiculous" losses, like the one, that you mentioned in your post. And, because of that new rule, the system has become pretty shitty to all the players outside Dicktator 3 league in terms of XP gain. In the past I could make ~ 17 point average wins and do more fights in the league to not promote further (cause I'm still too weak for the higher league and will get less XP there). Now I get 18.5 average points in my D1 and occasional losses, due to increased RNG (which is more XP loss). Even if you're not a minmaxer, the change is still shitty for you, cause you still get more average points overall and do less battles. It's pretty obvious for those, who are outside D3, but not all the people here (especially whose, who are in D3) seem to understand that and are "confused" (LOL), if you try to tell them that the new system (so far) in terms of XP gain is shitty for the majority of the playerbase (even shittier than before ) On the other hand, the "bug" with 3, 13, 15, 25 points was VERY good for the majority of the playerbase (in the current state of things, in the current "PvP system" we have). Maybe not directly, cause you still need to adjust your gameplay to not score 25 point wins. But, at least, you had such an opportunity - I could score ~15.4 average points (!!!) per league fight (compare it with ~17 points in the old system and ~18.5 points now) and did almost all my fights in the league without promoting further. HentaiHero Posted August 27, 2021 Share Posted August 27, 2021 It's a feature not a bug, but yes, new RNG crit chance is BS and more often than not has absolutely no relation between attacker/defender harmony.
