Kuradur Posted June 19, 2018 Share Posted June 19, 2018 I noticed in another post that someone questioned the logic behind what they could win at "Epic Pachinko" and I thought the conversation was amusing to say the least. Now I'm certain that we all understand that a random number generator and complex algorithm are what determines what you either win or don't win playing the pachinko games and/or boss drops or anything else that's a game of chance. For the nay-sayers, yes, I know it's electronic, and yes, it's true chance, just like the electronic slot machines in Vegas, Atlantic City, Monte Carlo or anywhere else are; here however is my little problem with the whole set-up. A poster questioned if it was possible to win more than one girl at Epic Pachinko playing ten games for 5400 Kobans and a moderator (I think, maybe an advanced member, I can't recall) stated that they couldn't win more than one girl when playing ten games at a time because it was a "guaranteed win" of one girl. SO... By THAT line of thinking, you're not really playing a "game of chance" as it were, you're just buying a girl for roughly $35.00, (Based off Koban prices in real world cash) now the same responder (moderator/advanced member) did state that you could always play ten single games and win no girl at all or play ten single games and win ten girls. (Highly unlikely... If anyone ever does it, I'd like video proof because I need to talk to you about buying my Powerball tickets.) Now as I stated before, games of pure chance are a pretty neat, exciting, adrenaline rush. Paying for ten games of chance at a time, thinking you're getting ten games of chance but not really getting ten games of chance... That's a little shady. Better to just call it what it is, make a spot in the Market (or the game table) to "Win a Random Girl - 5000 Kobans." (Could be a Common, Rare, Epic or Legendary) THAT would be a game of chance, not to mention truth in advertising. (Stick it in between the Pachinko Machines and have it look like a slot machine window) Of course you always COULD make, "Ten games for 5400 Kobans" true chance and have the possibility, however highly unlikely; to win ten girls, ten legendary items or ten legendary gifts at the ten games. natstar Posted June 19, 2018 Share Posted June 19, 2018 It would be nice if it was edited to one girl only under the 10 times spin not to confuse new players thinking that they can get more than one. I have won 3 girls in 8 spins of epic pachinko before but I have also gone more than 30 single spins without winning one so it is very much luck based and the drop rate would be below 10% so it is a more worthwhile use of kobans just doing the 10 times spin and getting one to drop. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You only get one girl from doing 10 times epic pachinko no one has ever gotten more than one girl from it in the 2 years the game has been out for. I have done over 50 spins of 10 times epic pachinko and have always only gotten one as well. At any rate, I wasn't trying to downplay anybody's contributions to the forums by asking if it were possible to get a developer's input, be they an "Advanced Member," "Moderator" or whatever title they have from having answered people's (sometimes repetitive apparently) queries about different aspects of the game, I was always taught if you wanted an answer from the horse, you asked the head end, not the tail. This gets asked a lot but if they just changed what was said for the 10 times epic pachinko spin to say that you get 1 girl only it would not need to be asked so until the change that the question will keep on being asked. I dunno on that last part Natstar… I would think the possibility of getting ten for ten (rare as that would be) would increase the number of single games a given person would play vs playing a ten-shot simply from knowing that there's the possibility of winning at a game of chance as opposed to shelling out for ten games and getting a sure win only once. (I avoid casinos; I understand myself. LOL) From my own perspective, I have to say that if I had won three of eight times, I'd probably not bat an eye at losing the next thirty, just from the rush of the idea I just might do it again. Again now, adding another two cents worth, this is just my perspective, but since I don't buy bulk Kobans per se, I earn then over time, playing the daily activities, completing the "Special Activities" of a given event and occasionally place high enough in contests to pick up a few here and there so I like the "Best Bang for the Buck." Now before anyone starts rolling their eyes and grumbling, "Mother-f****r in here complaining when he doesn't even pay to play," I buy my monthly card, thank you, and I think for the price of $2.99 USD it's a damned good bargain. So during a thirty day period I rake in 6300 Kobans (60 a day from the card plus 150 a day from the activities times thirty days) and that doesn't include anything I might squeeze out of Special Events, so yeah I could get at least one guaranteed girl a month, but c'mon,... Where's the rush in that? (Please reference my Casino comment from earlier. LOL) I do have to agree with the idea that translation does leave something to be desired every now and again, but English leaves a lot open too, and not always open well... My cousin from London couldn't understand why the bar got quiet when he visited here in Missouri because he blurted out, "I'm gon run t'the back and suck down a fag before we take off, aright?" But when paying for something, having a poorly worded description of whatever you're purchasing is a different thing altogether.
