Is experience needed if they are not on your active team?

All,

I'm sure this has been asked but I can't find it in the forums.  Is there any benefit to increasing the experience of the girls in your harem if they are not, and will never be, on you active team?  Increasing affection increases your payout per hour so that makes sense to keep the girls affectionate to you but so far I have not noticed any benefit to spending money on experience.

Not a good one.

You gain an ego bonus equal to 50 times the square root of your total harem level, so a few levels helps a lot, but then there's diminishing returns.

Most of the experienced players only level up girls when there are contests that reward doing so, so that there's a chance to get kobans from it.
