Habi Posted August 19, 2017 Share Posted August 19, 2017 (edited) one thing about contests i noticed these days: all contests reward you for being active during the timespan of the contest. with one exception: the showoff in the casino. this contest awards you for being active since you started playing the game. so i think this is not fair. it gives verteran players too much of an advantage. my suggestion would be to keep track of 2 piles of cash. one containing "normal" cash (earned any time) and one containing the cash earned during the casino contest. and if you play pachinko during the contest it should only award you with contest points if you spend the cash earned during the contest. my idea for implementation: casino contest starts, players current cash is stored in some variable, let's call it baseCash player earns money, cash counter increases just like usual player plays pachinko, cash counter decreases just like usual. in addition there is a check if (remaining cash >= baseCache) then award contest points player spends money on quests, cash counter decreases just like usual. baseCash should NOT be changed. you have to make the decision contest vs quest progress now and you should have to make it too if the change is implemented. casino contest ends, base cache is deleted/set to 0/whatsoever so in this approach an active veteran player will still have an advantage because he probably has more girls than a newer player. but it isn't possible anymore that a player saves up the money of 3 months and spends it all in one go during the contest while another player in the same contest bracket might not even play the game for 3 months. but the veteran advantage is much smaller and other players may beat them if they are more active during contest time. This, and only this without all the other crap is something worth to think about. Practical it still would be a mess to balance and probably be worse than the current version of the contest. Sinner Posted August 19, 2017 Share Posted August 19, 2017 This suggestion is stupid. Saving up to ace those contests is the entire point. Though, that's not needed for the casino challenge. Playing the casino gives you items to sell back. I once even made 200K doing the casino for one contest.
