  1. Even if we assume this, then that would mean 1 out of every 200 players would potentially not get her after 1700 attempts. Obviously, most people are getting her significantly earlier. But just like there are people with ridiculously good odds (remember the guys who posted he got her in the first fight?) there will be people with ridiculously bad odds. This is the problem. We need, at some point, a mercy rule to protect us from horrifying bad luck streaks.
  2. This. I'll throw an example out there. Periodically we have events with daily missions exclusive to the event. If you complete a certain number of the daily events, you win an award at the end of the event. People who don't finish these events don't get the reward. You can do some of the events and make progress towards the reward, but you won't get it unless you complete it. We can debate whether or not these events are too easy (they are), too time-consuming, etc. What you can't debate is the result: if you do everything you can to progress forward in the event you will get the reward. If you miss the reward it is your own fault. As a result, we don't have people bitching on the boards about not getting the event reward and complaining that the system isn't fair. It is fair, and everyone is happy. This "event" is not fair. Player A can be a dipshit who rarely logs in and doesn't know jack about how to set up his harem. He's never bought a koban and doesn't put any time into this game. He can fight Ninja Spy and through dumb luck, drop the girl within 10 fights. Player B is obsessed with this game. He has spent hundreds of dollars in kobans, tweaks his harem all the time, logs in frequently and contributes to the forums and community. He spends 10,000 kobans fighting Ninja Spy over the 4-day event and gets NOTHING. That's the problem.
  3. I can only speak for myself, but I'm not complaining about rare drop rates. I'm complaining about people wasting kobans, in some cases a tremendous amount of kobans, without any progress at all towards the end goal. A mercy rule is needed. No reasonable person would argue that the guy who spent over 18,000 kobans on refills, without any return on that investment at all, shouldn't be complaining.
  4. Yeah, this is really unfortunate. From the posts on day one, it appeared like the drop rate had been increased due to the number of people posting that she was falling within a pretty reasonable number of fights. For most people, it looked like somewhere in the 150-300 fight range, with the obvious outliers (pretty much pulling numbers out of my ass based upon my memory of the intial posts). With 218 fights being the "free" range, this seemed a helluva lot better than what we saw with Levitya. However, we are now seeing quite a few posts from the people who she is not dropping for. Repeated posts from people going well over 1,000 fights (with one player reporting over 1,700 fights). For those number crunches out there, 720 is approximately how many fights you get if you add the "free" fights plus refills with 5,400 kobans (the cost of an epic x10 spin). In my opinion, spending 5,400 kobans on refills for her is reasonable, but double that? That's bullshit. I will echo what I've been saying forever. Give us a set guarantee drop point to protect players from horrible bad luck streaks. Ask the guy who fought her 1,000 times without a drop if he's pissed. The answer is "Yeah, I'm pissed! And I'll probably quit this game! I wasted so many kobans and I am never ever buying kobans again!" But let's say there was a 1,200 fight limit set. If she doesn't drop by the 1,200th fight, she drops guaranteed. Now ask the same guy the same question. The answer is now "Yeah, I'm pissed. I have had such bad luck so far. But I'm so close to getting her now, at least I only have to spend a few more kobans." There is no downside to this suggestion. Players are currently unhappy and less likely to spend kobans. This makes everyone much happier, encourages koban purchases, and doesn't make the girl more easily accessible accept to the extremely unlucky. I look forward to Jessie or Kinkoid's response as to why their luck-based mechanic is better than this logical, easily implemented adjustment. But there won't be a response, because the developers continue to ignore criticism. I pray, once again, that I'm wrong and that we'll see a detailed post below explaining why this RNG model is super fair and awesome. But I'm not holding my breath. And to clarify, Jessie, I'm not making war, I'm asking a question. Also (since you encouraged me to ask), what are the drop rates? And also, how is the Legendary Days FAQ that we were promised days ago coming along? Will it be ready in time for the next Legendary Days event 2 months from now?
  5. No. Just no. I'm not sure where the actual information is available (if it's available at all), but there is absolutely no way that matchups are "only based on your level". Mojo definitely is part of the equation. It's true that your opponents are randomly picked from players that range from 15 levels above to 15 levels below. However, these players are not picked randomly from throughout the haremverse. They are selected in some way based upon their mojo number and their tower ranking. If I look under the experience tab on the tower, I can clearly see that there are thousands of players of the exact same level as me (127). I can only assume there are tens of thousands within 15 levels of me. If arena opponents were based upon this alone, I should see a wide variety of opponents. This is not the case. I am currently #66 global mojo, and when I fight in the arena I always see the exact same opponents. Best guess is that there is a pool of about 20 players in the world that are randomly chosen as my opponents. All the time, day after day, every 30 minutes - the exact same 20 or so people. I know exactly how challenging each opponent is, and exactly which ones I can swap out girls for and still beat (without even looking at their stats). There is one opponent I can never defeat (damn you, Dariuk!), 4 opponents who are tight matchups for me (Ady, gigel, BOuBoucBOnsa, wog), and 4 extremely generous opponents who have joined the defense pact and usually have level 1 girls as their alpha (thank you, iiaannaa, NathBleedda, Hentes, keineAhnung!). How often do I fight these guys, you ask? I just recited those names from memory, and it wasn't hard. What do ALL 20 of these opponents have in common? They are all top 100 mojo. casey is completely 100% correct, and it's an issue I've been meaning to bring up in its own thread. The game punishes you for being good. Not only is mojo pointless, but it hurts you by forcing you to play against other players who have expended just as much time, effort, and money into developing their character as you had. Meanwhile, the ding dongs who you should be mopping the floor with are protected from you for some reason. It should not be harder for me to get the arena rewards than some ass who doesn't know how to play. It's another major design flaw in this game. Remove mojo from the game.
  6. Hi Jessie, How is the FAQ on Legendary Days coming along? This was posted almost 6 days ago, and the event is halfway over (and the original event was 2 months ago). Should the FAQ maybe have been put out before the event? We are patiently awaiting your analysis of the most frequently submitted feedback, which will happen really soon. Also, since you suggested I ask, what are the drop rates? There is a big discussion in another thread on how the new affection items were implemented into the drop table. A lot of people speculating without any real facts, which I know you don't like. Please outline for us how the drop system is working so we can have our discussion utilizing the most accurate information. Thanks in advance for your honesty and transparency on this issue.
  7. I agree. If all girls of the same rarity had equal stats, it would make figuring out your team much easier. It would also minimize the "luck factor", as many more girls could be considered for your battle team, and would also make balancing the classes easier. Lord knows we need to do something to cut down the luck factor in this game. It would also be nice to see a wider variety of girls in battle. Imagine seeing Ankyo as someone's alpha!
  8. That I do agree with. Complaining that Charm has more 5-star girls is stupid. Complaining that Charm has better 5-star girls is legitimate. Of course, all this will get thrown for a loop when the rarity update hits and all the stats get adjusted (not higher or lower, just adjusted). Currently, HC has only 1 top-tier 5-star girl, Levitya, who as we all remember didn't exactly join your harem willingly. HC players who do not have her are currently at a disadvantage, because (as Some other guy noted) Fairy and Bunny are just not in the same class. Ankyo doesn't even count as a 5-star girl. The bonus for HC is that Bunny is cheap as shit to upgrade and you can use her from the start. KH has 2 top-tier 5-star girls, Samane and Norou (who seems to be reasonably accessible to all but those with the worst luck - my heart pains for you). The downside is that they will both be expensive to upgrade (unless you just started playing and got Norou as a noob - good for you if you did!). Agate and Red are cheap, acquired early, and serve as very viable betas (stronger than Bunny, but not significantly stronger). Charm has the most options, with 3 top-tier 5-star girls. Abrael is great and you can potentially upgrade her for less than the max depending on how quickly you power through the story. I jammed through the story, dodged girls along the way, and was able to get Abrael as my 14th girl (big savings there). Both Kalissa and Lenaelle are very good, but are very expensive and aren't able to be acquired until you are well past level 100 (I'm level 127 and am just about to get Kalissa). The other 5-star Charm girls (Jennie, Noemy, and Juliette) are all nice, but the fact that there are so many is pretty irrelevant, as they all serve the same role (cheap, acquired early on, serve as beta). Once a Charm player progresses a bit, these girls are no more valuable to them than to a HC or KH player, just extra girls who sit on the bench. The lack of a legendary girl will hurt Charm once the rarity update is released (at least until they release a legendary Charm girl).
  9. On the subject of avatars, did anyone else notice the stealth patch that changed our characters face on the profile page? Our actual portrait face is the same, both on the forums and in-game. But on your profile page and profile picture, the face is slightly different. The original (our avatar pic) is kind of a sweet, innocent kid with an endearing smirk. The new face on the profile page has wide eyes glaring forward, and a long, creepy looking grin. I don't know, it gives off a much too rapey vibe to me. I don't like it.
  10. Because a revival event will occur next week. The event reward will be a set of epic gear, and the pants in those events are single stat KH. So don't waste money buying pants that you can get for free.
  11. Wow. It turns out that they are, indeed, super mega flaming gay. Never mind.
  12. KH gets the bonus against Charm. HC gets the bonus against KH.
  13. I have to agree. While I'm not sure if this game needs a chat (and I certainly don't think it takes precedence over the numerous other priorities), saying that the main problem with it is in-game moderation doesn't really hold up. Like Hotless, I have played a ton of online games and been exposed to some absolutely horrendous behavior by people in their online anonymity. I actually can't think of a single game I've played, ever, that had real-time moderation on a regular basis. Almost every game gives you both an "ignore" and a "report" option. Let the people chat and deal with extreme problems on an individual basis. Moderation would be fine (in moderation, thank you), but it certainly isn't necessary.
  14. It's not even close to the 26.5k you would get from fighting a maxed out Finalmecia. I crunched my numbers from my time fighting Ninja Spy and it came out to about 17k per fight with the affection gifts. But obviously then you fall prey to RNG, and it appears you have not only missed out on the girl but you're falling short on affection gifts as well (all those flowers, ugh). The affection gifts you list total 19,400 points of affection. At $417 per point that's a total value of $8,089,000. 1,500 battles with Ninja Spy at $5,500 a pop nets you $8,250,000. Total cash value = $16,339,800 or approximately $10,893 per fight. But I believe that is on the low end of the RNG spectrum. Even at the high end, I do not believe Ninja Spy comes close to matching a maxed out Finalmecia, more like a maxed out Sylvanus.
  15. As far as avatars go, wouldn't it make more sense for us to have male avatars? If I'm not mistaken, there is a certain homosexual harem game run by the same people who run this game. And in that game, they have hundreds of already drawn, ready to go pictures of dudes. Just dump a bunch of those characters' faces into the profile pool and let us pick (unless they're all like super mega flaming gay; I really have no idea what any of them look like).
  16. I'm not going to argue that we have any factual data on the drop rate. Of course we don't. The posts on the forums can, however, help us to gather data across a number of users and hopefully get a general idea. Devs, if you're reading this, please just tell us the drop rate. It's far from an unbiased poll, I'll grant you. But I don't agree with you that people don't post their failures. Following the Levitya event, we had a tremendous number of posters basically stating exactly what you said - they spent a ton of kobans, got nothing, and now feel like idiots. If you compare the posts following the Levitya event with the posts during this event, it certainly looks like more people are acquiring the girl with fewer fights than with Levitya. There are extremes in both cases. There were some people who got Levitya on day 1 with only a few fights, but there weren't many. And there are people like you who have fought like crazy and not dropped Norou, but these people seem to be in the minority, whereas with Leviya they were the majority. Everything Taka007 says in his post above this is 100% on point. Bottom line is - the RNG is stupid and we need a system to protect players from horrible luck. Devs, please give us a set drop point to protect us from bad RNG.
  17. I agree with this. I think it's a misconception that players want the game to be easy and have everything handed to them. I don't think most do. Players want to be challenged enough so the game is intriguing. The bosses are a joke. Currently, I swap my battle team to all level 1 girls in between arena fights (part of the defense pact - get on board). What's crazy is when I fight the bosses I don't change them back. And even with my level 1 wrong-class girls I still 1-hit the end-game bosses. If the game is too easy then nobody will learn how to play it. Easy bosses don't teach you how to fight. Cakewalk matches in the arena don't teach you how to fight. High drop rates from Dark Lord do not prepare you for low drop rates from Edwarda. A lot of the confusion and frustration comes from people not knowing what the hell they are doing.
  18. Nobody added a second dice, dude. Let's use your example, a six-sided dice. BEFORE: 1 = girl, 2 = cash, 3 = cash, 4 = cash, 5 = cash, 6 = cash. This was the loot table before. You had a 1 in 6 chance of getting the number you wanted. NOW: 1 = girl, 2 = item, 3 = cash, 4 = cash, 5 = cash, 6 = cash. This is the loot table now. The item was added in place of one of the cash drops. The percentage chance of the girl drop is the same. You still have a 1 in 6 chance of getting the number you want. Are we really having this conversation? We're all on the same side. The RNG is a problem, and the drops are not fair. But adding the affection items is not the problem. It just isn't.
  19. Valid mathematic example below (using Chthugha's perfectly acceptable dice example, not sure what you don't get about): Hypothetical drop rate #1 - 100 RNG = 99x is a cash reward, 1x is a girl reward Hypothetical drop rate #2 - 100 RNG = 95x is a cash reward, 4x is an item reward, 1x is a girl reward No change to the chance of the girl drop. Based upon the feedback we've seen so far regarding this event, it appears as if the drop rate was actually increased in comparison to the Levitya event. All speculation, of course. This point, "random is random but this is too much", is an extremely credible criticism and I agree with it. The 100% randomness of the system is the problem. 800+ battles without a drop is an extreme streak of bad luck in comparison to what most people are seeing. And to have made absolutely no progress towards acquiring the girl is a joke. We need, at some point, to protect players from horrific bad luck streaks. Random is random but this is too much.
  20. My ONLY problem with the low drop rate of boss girls is that they are also on pachinko. I don't mind if it takes months/years to get them all. Collecting them is the fun part and it is extremely rare to need any of them for a top tier battle team, so there's really no downside to them taking longer to acquire. EXCEPT for pachinko. Saving kobans to use on pachinko is a long process. And when a boss girl drops in pachinko it's like a kick in the balls.
  21. This is the first I've heard that the number of girls you have influences what equipment shows up on the market. I know that the rarity types of affection items changes, but did not know about equipment. If this is the case, then it is another case of RNG screwing us over. For example - I am level 127. I play this game pretty religiously and like to think my market resets as often as possible without spending kobans for resets (I am diligent as far as when I level up). I have seen a grand total of 2 purple items on the market - ever. I have also, unfortunately, been extremely unlucky with girl drops. Looking on the tower, I am one of 1,548 players who have 32 girls in their harem. Of these players, only 128 are leveled higher than me. And who knows how many of them don't even go for girls. I use all my combativity going for event and boss girls, it never reaches full, but I have just had really bad luck with drops. I'm not complaining that the girls aren't dropping for me. that's RNG. But if the market is also holding back on premier items, it seems like kicking a guy when he's down. It seems like this game keeps coming up with new ways for the RNG to screw us.
  22. I agree it's unlikely, but still well within the realm of possibility. In order for a 3-star girl to surpass a 5-star girl at max stats, she needs approximately 1.3x the starting stat. Currently, the Charm girl with the highest starting stat is Flight Attendant (3.9). This is more than 1.3x the starting stat of 4 Charm girls (Sporty Noemy, Xmas Ninja Elf, Halloween Kimie, Sung Tai Ki - all 3.0 or below). So there is precedence, and that's without any of the girls being separated into power groups and not taking into account the "legendariness" factor that the devs seem to have a boner for. I hope the devs look long and hard at these numbers before they make the change. People who spent 35,000 affection and 20 million bucks upgrading Abrael and Samane are going to be pretty pissed if random 3-star Pachinko girls are showing up with better stats.
  23. I never said I thought they should be blocked. But the rules of the forum clearly prohibit posting these pictures and our moderator will remove them if he sees them. Take it up with the people in charge.
  24. It almost seems like he's posting spoiler images on purpose. Posting her poses in multiple threads (no words, just the pictures) and now posting the affection scenes? Chthugha is usually pretty on top of things and I expect these images to be blocked soon.
  25. 1) They didn't save your data. Each event is separate and there is no carryover effect or progression with regard to event girls. If there is anything like this in place, it is not known to us and has so far been denied by the development team. 2) Yes, you were super lucky with this event, but others have reported getting her very early as well. Unfortunately, some people have reported extremely high fight counts without a drop. That's RNG. Myself, I got her after 187 fights. 3) It does appear that the drop rate for this event is significantly higher than it was for Levitya, but that's just my opinion based on the forum results we've seen so far.
