OK - first, i just realized that i was wrong about the number of potions. you saved that comment just seconds before i edited my post but 200 potions is not "peanuts" either. Second, i never claimed it WAS a con. As a software developer myself, i know such bugs can happen, specifically on such a remote case like "who played clicker last year?" i was just writing what it feels like to me.

I tried Hentai Clicker only once and that was pretty soon after it started (so, over a year ago) and i am pretty sure i did not play it long enough to get any significant girls. It may be an explanation why i got her only on nutaku (as i tried it there) but would still surprise me very much. Can you please provide a link to that comment? i cannot find the thread. And i would very much like to answer there that, missing out on 200 potions for Path of Valor, just for getting a girl a few DAYS earlier than you would get her anyway because you finish the very same quest, still feels like being conned.

I am not sure if this should go to "Bug reporting". Or if this is the kind of thing i should make a ticket about on Nutaku. When i logged in today after patch, Lyrsa was in my Harem on my Nutaku account. But without any notification or animation or anything, she was just there. On the hentaiheroes.com account, i didn't get her yet. Despite being at same point of adventure: i did not start the quest released today yet. The annoying part is, i missed out on the potions for Path of Valor i supposedly should get for 100 rare girls shards, receiving Lyrsa.

Since friday (i started playing about 11 AM UTC that day), both hentaiheroes.com, and harem heroes on nutaku are so ridiculously slow that the game is borderline unplayable! Loading times for next screen are up to 30 seconds, sometimes after every single button click. How can i play a "casual" game where it takes me like 6 hours just to use up my energy and battles and send girls on missions? Places of Power is the worst, here even collecting reward from mission takes 30 seconds, maybe more, just to reload the same screen! The only times it got a little better were after 1 AM UTC, in both nights in between. It is definitely a game issue, since all other websites i go to work normally - including comixharem on nutaku. Deleting cookies or cached pictures does not help.

I was right about them using restored backup Seems they do daily backup at 1 AM (mindnight UTC), which makes sense

maybe they thought going back 24 hours or possibly more for all players would cause more alienation than what they did instead. but the current f***up may be bad enough that they have no other choice but use backup anyway, we will see after they finished fixing. right now, it's only speculation.

Those other players would probably be better than me because i have very few competence at any browser programming. i mostly do backend stuff, "business logic", and some DB stuff. That said, in any DB younger than like 15 years, even the free ones, setting up at least an auto-backup in fixed intervals. is a matter of minutes. I am sure that already in beta they encountered issues telling them how important backups are, so my jaw would hit the floor if they haven't set this up now, years later. Just hoping that they do this more often than daily; otherwise we have to replay everything we did since some time on sunday.

they will have backup. they learned this the hard way. because everyone who starts making a huge application with a DB learns this the hard way, within a few months at best. i cannot imagine that in the several years this game exist, they never had a "damn why did we not have a backup" moment, so surely they are doing this by now. the question is just, how often backup? i just hope it's at least once a day or more often. (and as i said before, IF the db they use has a transaction log feature, they may be able to restore to right before bug appeared.)

the DB was obviously not the issue but wrong values caused by bug would have been saved to DB, so it would be corrupted now. idk what DB they use and if they have full transactional history so they can do explicit rollback, or have to restore some backup. i also don't know how often they do backup... worst case scenario would be, we are all back in time at when last backup was done. (but this also means you would get back kobans or ymen spent for contests) i just hope they can do real time rollback to right before the bug appeared

ingame banner, i see. yes they could have done that ingame. but don't forget, showing this message ingame requires coding effort (and possibly more bugs). showing the same message in the patch notes just requires a few extra hits on the keyboard when writing them. i see your point, but i prefer if they invest their coding hours in actually improving the game.

idk what you mean about the dating tokens. the last date to use them was explicitly specified in patch notes three weeks before, and another time in patch notes one week before. this is the fine way of communication to go, i do not know what else should they have done?

i would be happy with the 150 for the missions. i had only "donate" contests today so i can use these few billion Ymen next time. Of course the more the better but as a professional, this kind of stuff can happen, i feel some sympathy for such a kind of bug

to me - if this energy thing is the bug - it seems more like they accidentally created a loop. energy added again and again, instead of once? well we both can be right or wrong.

if it really was a huge bug, they will probably roll out some compensation afterwards, as so many players missed out on contests or missions. i remember that in the past they did so a few times

exact same issue. i was missing one quest each on hentaiheroes and nutaku, and both would have been finished around 12:55 CET, so easily enough time to collect, but now i lost these extra koban twice.

most IT companies, including the one i work for, do updates of their stuff at times of day when there is least activity on server (which in most cases means in the middle of the night). while i understand that this does not matter much when player base is spread evenly around the world, afaik hentaiheroes.com has many more players than, for example, nutaku, and that means that like 70 or 80% of total player base is European. So, why do updates at all during daytime in Europe?

yes, for me it was out at exactly 9 minutes before day's end. seriously, you could have waited these 9 minutes and turned it off 12:00 UTC on the spot, and no one would bat an eye. but why those few minutes earlier? (also super surprised this happens on monday)

neither on hentaiheroes, nor on nutaku harem heroes, nor on nutaku comix harem. item is highlighted but grey, like if i already had taken the daily reward and this one would be the reward tomorrow. but i did not take anything. (since 1 PM CEST when daily reward is supposed to become available) first time this happened, so must be related to today's patch

no, they just started the patch. probably overslept seriously though, doing patch so shortly before day switch is annoying

very good idea, but you would have to add more than one button. because you have to select which girl on team is replaced. i think an even bigger improvement would be, instead in Tower and Season, add filter like in Harem, for selecting team. When you have >500 girls it is quite annoying to search for specific girls in full list, because then you cannot memorize the order you got them anymore (well, i can't).
