  1. @Lola Kinkoid Thanks a lot for interacting with the community on this and taking our feedback seriously! 👍 FYI and as an addition to your survey: The rather positive feedback to the question "How do you like the mechanics of the event?" might be too generalized and therefore misleading. Here's why: - Do I like having a new 5 star legendary coming? Yeah! - Do I like having 4 different ways/chances to obtain such important girl in quick succession? Sure! - Do I like the idea of getting a girl potentially much cheaper than I would in Pachinko or from Villains? Sign me up! - Do I like it that once I have the girl, there's something else worth aiming for (useful MP orbs instead of just legendary gifts or books)? Yes, baby! - Do I like that there's no cap on how much I might need to spend to get the girl? Wait... no, not at all! - Do I like the idea that by winning the girl I effectively take the chance of getting her away from a fellow player? Hell no!!! - Do I like the risk that such new mechanics might be abused later on when limiting the best girls only to the biggest of whales? Oh god no, no, NO, NOOOOO! (and that's coming from a top 15 whale that won't have any trouble getting them). So yeah, I still feel like this whole thing is a bad idea and shouldn't be continued on. I love new ideas and variation, but please let's stick to the model of abundance (everyone can get a girl with the right amount of Kobans) and not allow any model of zero-sum game (by design, it's impossible for everyone to get a girl). Thanks for reading.
  2. @DvDivXXX@ thanks for your really well written post, I like it a lot and agree almost 100%! Us whales were really baffled when leagues got introduced. It was so surreal knowing that in a few months time none of us would have to worry about not having enough Kobans anymore. The introduction of orbs which basically doubled down on these rewards were another feverdream. How will KK ever convince us to spend a lot of money again? I'm sitting on 5x EPx10 orbs, 30K+ Kobans, 1.3 Billion Ymens and right now I'm a silver card subscriber with far more resources than I can throw at the game. It's ridiculous and I'd rather have a real challenge with the game than privileges that become very boring after a while (that's why I desperately hope we won't get another level increase and can have a real league competition with thousands of lv 500 players, but that's unlikely to happen). Here's where I disagree with your statements: 1. Mate, leave out the FR bashing, it doesn't belong here and only harms your factually good points and well structured criticisms. I met just as many friendly people from the FR community, and of course there are idiots on both sides (but fortunately very few and in between). Let's not go down this road and appreciate that despite some very vicious game features, the community remained friendly and supportive overall. Thanks everybody, great job! 2. The zero-sum thing yet again. I consider it very troublesome for the game that I love so much. Not specifically for the new contest and power creep girl and these shenanigans (us whales will get her anyway and casual players will be left behind just like in the leagues or every event before, so no changes here). I worry about the potential harm that KK opens up the game for when it's okay that you can't even pay for your highest rewards anymore, but only for the chance and hope to be privileged enough, and your payment won't be capped and your win has to cause someone else's loss (which now might be negligible and compares well with what we're used to, but why not give girl shards only to the first rank in the future?). Maybe it's their way to "fix" the league (aka find a way to squeeze out money of us whales again), but it's just taking us further down the rabbit hole, except our wonderland is a very special kind of hell, reserved for murderers, lobbyists and people who annoyingly click their ballpens all the time...
  3. For me, if it is called an event, then it is an event. 😛
  4. Also we can assume that many whales are already high or even maxed out on girl upgrades, so they're not competitive on day 4 and if they failed to have the girl by then, they are no thread anymore. 😅
  5. @jelom your statements are generally correct, but I'd say it's still a zero-sum game and you still effectively "steal" the opportunity to get the girl from somebody else (I never said you'd steal a girl directly, but indirectly you'll prevent another player from getting a girl). 1. In the game not everybody might win or "buy" the girls, but it's possible. Girls are (technically) an abundant resource and if everyone decided to spend a lot of money, it's possible to get all girls delivered to everyone. Of course a lot of people in their right mind wouldn't do that, but I'm always talking about the possibilities, not the conscious decisions players make to not get a girl because they deem her too expensive. With legendary contests, that changes dramatically. There's no possibility for everyone to win, there must be losers. Even if you save and spent a ton of money, you're technically not guaranteed to get a girl. 2. I'd say at a start of an event, there are infinite event girls available in the game's code. They will be distributed to everyone willing or capable to buy her with time or money. At tje start of a legendary contests, the amount of available girls are arbitrarily limited. Let's take your number and say the limit is 60% x number of competing players. Now in simplified terms: If you are on the winning side, there is somebody on the losing side who won't get a girl that he otherwise would have gotten if you were on the losing side instead. So effectively you "steal" his access to the girl, whether you like it or not. The game simply doesn't allow for the losing side to get the girl in the contest while in every previous event, the person on the "losing side" (aka a person performing less results) could simply buy the girl with Kobans in the Pachinko instead. Access was granted to everyone. In the end it's a matter of semantics and how you look at the situation, but I'm sure you agree that the legendary contests do inherently differ from what he had before regarding how many absolute players are allowed to get the girl, and that's what all my fuss is about. 😉
  6. Ohhh, that hurts. 😂 You might have a point there (although I'm pretty confident to win the girl on day one). Maybe look at it like this: What if KK said from now on the precious villain girls you are missing can only be obtained if you performed within the top 100 weekly "Wins vs. Villains" leaderboard. If you are below Top 100, you're guaranteed to get 0 shards next week and so on. I know, it's very hypothetical, but it would follow the same pattern. Being a whale with lots of Kobans and Orbs and a shitload of Ymens I don't see myself at risk of not getting the reward. I do still despise the mechanics for what they are: A zero-sum game where by getting a girl I effectively and without alternative take the chance from somebody else to do the same. I don't like those games (neither in virtual, nor in real life). So far a win-win Situation has always been achievable (or more like win-win-win, including KK with the sales of Kobans involved). Now we're having a huge win-win-LOSE situation that just isn't necessary (or desired).
  7. You make a good point 😂 Yet I'm sure you understand me as well. The difference is the people not winning D3 could also decide to buy the Kobans or Orbs required (e.g. at the moment there's a bundle for 15€). In the legendary contest, that's not possible and I will take the girl from a limited pool, effectively robbing somebody else from the opportunity...
  8. Very well said. In a game that usually is about everybody winning and sometimes even cooperation (hence clubs), this is a very poor addition...
  9. @shua you're right, my numbers were outdated and with the introduction of the 25 Shards it makes this situation much easier to digest. Still, the core mechanic provides a lot of problems and potential harm for the future! I outlined it in another post so I just quote myself here: It's a problem caused by the shift from a model of abundance (every girl is obtainable to everybody) to a zero-sum game (it's technical impossible for everyone to get a specific girl, even if we'd all spend millions of Dollars/Euros). Many F2P games with such zero-sum systems I know tend to patch in unfair advantages for those getting the newest stuff, and I really don't want this to happen to HH...
  10. Yes, with the addition of the 25 shards we'll have a much smoother distribution and probably all people shooting for the girl will get it (similar to how all people willing to spend time, effort and sometimes money for event girls will get them). I still believe it's a bad road to take though. Once KK implements a mechanic that makes it technically impossible for all players to get a girl reward, they opened the door for more vicious practices (intentional and unintentional). For example in the future those contests could introduce highly overpowered 5star legendaries that every serious league contender needs to get in order to stay competitive. On top of that you'll be matched only with competitive players (e.g. people that score similarly high in leagues as you do). And just like that, we got ourselves a very troublesome situation and you don't just need to pay (or prepare for) an absolute amount of Kobans to stay competitive, but to outperform those who are also eager to get the reward. And again: In order to win, you need to make sure that somebody else loses (hence zero-sum game). I don't like that at all and I rather prefer a system that provides an abundant amount of girl rewards so everybody can practically get the girl.
  11. I doubt that it's likely, given how much people are willing to spend in order to win 300 Kobans in regular contests... However, the problem for me is not that it's a new approach with potentially either higher or lower costs. The main problem is that it's a new core mechanic that doesn't allow over half of the playerbase to obtain the girl. Before you were only limited by the amount of time or money you wanted to spend, but now you're actively prevented to get the girl if there are people willing to outperform your spendings no matter what. Even if you paid 1.000€, there would be a chance of you not getting the girl if you are matched with 10 people willing to spend 1.005€. It's oversimplified, I know, but you get my point. It's a zero-sum game based around the idea that for you to win, somebody else has to lose! Before everyone could just spend not more than 40€ and get a guaranteed girl, and all girls were abundantly available for everyone...
  12. Thank you KK for doing the serious testing on the test server, it allows for us to give you plenty of feedback in advance! Legendary Contests at their current state are really not a good idea, for all the reasons mentioned. It's not just pay 2 win (depending of the definition the game has been p2w from the start, just like every other f2p game and that's alright). This is now "pay for a chance to win". You actively take away the highest reward (a new girl) from more than half of your player base and make it impossible for them to win, even if they paid a lot of money! Please learn from our feedback (just like you did with the PoA events and the horrible idea to make a task contest-based) and stick to ideas that make every new girl available to everyone willing to pay the price (in time or money). Also: Where are Club Wars? I'd rather have you invest your resources in adding valuable features that enhance the game experience for the long term than adding a new "soon to become boring" feature like new event types or even Sex Champions. The last features that truly enhanced gameplay were clubs and leagues, and they are out for quite a while now...
  13. Thanks for mentioning it. Basically 2 reasons: 1. We have a poll here to get a first glance feedback for KK to see. 2. I'm usually not browsing the entire forum and end up in "General" most of my time. Probably many people do the same and therefore aren't aware or don't actively take part in the discussion before it might be too late. But yeah, I'll add my 2 cents there as well. 👍
  14. I personally think it's not good at all, as long as it's a Zero-Sum-Game where it's literally impossible for everyone to get the girl rewards. So far, girls could be obtained by everyone willing to invest the money or time, but with this new type of contest that's not possible anymore. It's designed that even if everybody spends a ton of Kobans (and real life money), there will always be losers who end up not getting the girl. Something similar was tried before with the first PoA event on the test server when one of the tasks necessary to get the girls was contest-based and therefore couldn't get achieved by everyone. Fortunately KK patched that out for the event on the live server, and I hope they find a way to do the same here. Please let them know your opinion via the questionaire (linked at the end of the quote), but since the results aren't public, let's hear it here as well. 👍
  15. Let's discuss the new Legendary Contests: https://www.kinkoid.com/patchnotes/hh_week_25/
  16. It really really depends on a lot of factors, but here are some of those factors to guide you to the best possible setup. It depends on your... - Class: Since every class has a special feature, it will be affected differently. HC profits a lot more from mono gear than KH for example. - Gear stats: Obviously higher numbers are better, but since it's so much easier to keep your rainbow items up to date, chances are they are the better choice over mono most of the time. - Boosters: If you go for example for Legendary Cordyceps, mono items will increase the booster's effect. With the same logic, a legendary Ginseng setup profits more from rainbow items. - Stat upgrades: If you are maxed out in your stat upgrades, this won't matter. If you have upgraded your main stats only though, rainbow gear might be relatively better (and vice versa). - Alpha girl: Depending on your preference of highest attack stats vs higher defense stats, different gear will help you compensate better for whatever is your weakness. - Opponent's stats: Yep, quite often the perfect setup changes from opponent to opponent. So this will fully break your dream of a perfect setup for every occasion. If you play around a bit (there's a simulation script by former player Sluim that can help you differentiate good from great setups) and follow the basic rules like never using Harmony or Endurance gear, you should easily get most of the stuff correctly.
  17. Please wait with such posts until you have the time to elaborate it. I know you don't mean to, but words like this can come across rude. There's not one single objective meaning of endgame, plus I already talked to some people who don't care about proper endgame since they are in it for the story and scenes only. Looking forward to your next post! 👍
  18. Okay, here's my take and reasoning (please vote first though before reading on, I don't want to influence you upfront). I voted for No (the absolute No) and here is why: It becomes boring and doesn't add value to the game for me if numbers are randomly raised. For some time now I'm number 16 on the Exp Leaderboard and feel like having a good strategy when it comes to win the leagues. Therefore about 9 out of 10 times I know that I'll definitely gonna win, while on a few occasions I definitely know I'll end up second or third. You could say I'm pretty much a beneficiary of the system in place which rewards the whales / long time players that are elevated to a privileged position. There's simply no danger and no thrill anymore, I just work down my checklist and I know the outcome in advance. So if we had a true level cap that is preserved for eternity (or at least for a very long time), we'll end up having lots of level 500 players and therefore competition will become fierce and challenging again. I'll probably win much less Kobans, but I'm close to not needing that many Kobans anyway since I'll probably obtain all obtainable girls this year. So I wonder if even I don't see any benefit from raising the level cap, who would? Maybe I'm wrong though and there are legit and convincing arguments for going beyond 500. If so, please enlighten me! Probably the most important topic to discuss in this is money. Let's face it, Kinkoid is a Business and therefore wants to decide for the most profitable solution. But again I'm thinking that not raising the level cap would be the right choice here. On first glance one might think that infinitely raising the max level would lure the whales into paying more and more money and be the way to go. When you think about it, the opposite might be the case. Because of the ridiculous free rewards for whales (14.4K Kobans + 1 free Pachinko girl per week from D3 League alone) there's no real reason to spend any real money anymore. I personally changed from the gold monthly card to the silver monthly card a few months ago, because I just didn't need the extra Kobans or free spins on Champions and Villains. I assume most of us high level players don't invest any more than the monthly gold card because there's just no value to get. On the other side: If the level cap would stay at 500, we would at some point not get those guaranteed rank 1 D3 rewards anymore that can easily pay for all the new content. There will be a real competition, and Kobans will become more valuable again, so we might spend some actual money. For everybody not yet in the whale-tier it would be more desirable to get there as quickly as possible so they can compete with absolutely everybody, thererfore their payments will increase (or at least not decrease). It's a win-win for everyone. Now I don't have the numbers to support that last claim, but that's what this thread is for. Please let's hear your take on this and what you spend or would spend in each scenario. @Noacc @Kinkoid I'm looking forward to your reactions here as well. Before deciding on whether you increase the level cap any further, please have a good read and ask us anything. We're here to help you make this great game even better!
  19. Hey everybody, let's start the discussion early on and accumulate arguments for and against the idea of Kinkoid raising the level cap again. Tell us why specifically you decided one way or the other and please always stay respectful! This way Kinkoid will get a good impression of their playerbase and be able to make an informed decision. I'll add my 2 Cents in my next post. Looking forward to your ideas and thoughts!
  20. For me it's the leadership role ever since clubs were introduced. If clubs weren't a thing or if I didn't create a club myself, I probably would have left the game already. But uniting a group of different people and exercise leadership skills, figuring out how to increase loyalty and appreciation within a team, that's what's keeping me here. It's a great practice ground and probably has good effects on real life skills as well. Apart from that, I also like the new features added every once in a while (Leagues, Champions, patched Leagues, Orbs, etc.). I'm here since end of 2017 and the game changed and improved quite a lot! For example: In the beginning PvP wasn't really a thing and a good setup and strategy was not required. The only goal you were looking for was to increase your harem size and upgrade the girls for new scenes. In hindsight it's amazing how much potential was left in the game, so let's see what else there is looking forwards.
  21. Well we don't know their numbers, do we? Where do you get this very precise number of "tons of money" from? All I know is they make about 6K per month via patreon (before fees and taxes): Of course this is by no means any indicator, especially ever since they removed the patreon link from the game. They might be in the millions now in sales, but we don't know for sure and we also don't know their taxes and expenses (which are probably much higher than expected, they have to pay their employees, artists and tech infrastructure). And even if we find a public financial statement from them, we still won't know how much they make of HH and how much sales they have via their Clicker and Date games or how this new Live Cam business turns out. Heck, they might have a breakthrough and make most of their money with their Live Cam branch, and this would really fuck with our expectations, wouldn't it? :-D
  22. I agree it's sad and very (!) non-authentic. A fun idea if executed well, yet from what I see there's not one person even remotely resembling the original character. Anyway, I hope this pays off since whatever makes KK money will keep them alive for many years of HH updates to come. And that's business: Try to approach new markets and explore opportunities. My only hope is this doesn't have a negative impact on the HH development since lately art and code quality suffered quite a bit (to be fair, there have been features added that are very welcome such as Pachinko Orbs).
  23. @cfsego2019 I recommend you leave this club and look for an active one. Even if you've spent Ymens and Kobans on club upgrades already, it's probably not worth it in the long run. From what I can see, the whole club market is saturated for a couple of months now and it's hard for club leaders to acquire new members. This is great news for you, since there are many fully upgraded clubs still missing one or two members. It would be a win-win situation if you joined one of them at no additional costs.
  24. Hello guys, TLDR: Please post how many boosters of one rarity type (common, rare, epic or legendary) you have in your inventory. Only post numbers of boosters if you haven't bought, sold or used any of the same rarity in a long time (e.g. I'll only post common and rare boosters since I didn't actively change their number in the market). Thanks a lot in advance! :-) So here's the thing: I want to know if there's any specific, predictable booster distribution within the same rarity, especially on market resets. I personally got a lot less epic/legendary Cordyceps than epic/legendary Ginseng from the market. So far there was no information given whether that's only due to RNG or if the algorithm actually favors one booster over the other (at least I didn't find any). Unfortunatelly we can't measure this directly without a lot of time or Koban investments. What we can instantly see however is how many Boosters were delivered to us through mission, arena and ToF rewards, so let's use that under the assumption it helps. Here's my theory to verify or falsify: "The boosters are not equally distributed on market refresh. You have the highest chance of dropping Chlorella, followed by Ginseng, Cordyceps and Jujubees." My assumptions are: - The droprates are the same no matter where you get your boosters from (arena rewards, mission rewards, ToF rewards or market refreshes) - The distribution probability is similar within each rarity (so if we collect enough data for common boosters, we can deduce the same result for all the other boosters and vice versa) Now we can test this: If we got significantly more free Chlorella than for example free Jujubees, we can (under given assumptions) verify the theory. If we don't get a significant difference, the theory is wrong. And if the assumptions are wrong, at least we'll have figured whether the distribution outside the market is biased or fair. So let's not discuss whether this makes sense or not, but rather collect some data and play around with it. 😉 Please help me out and send your booster numbers (but only those you haven't actively interfered with). Here are my common and rare boosters ever since the new 24h booster system was patched in (because before that I sold all my common/rare boosters): The thesis is obviously true in my case (and I believe it to be true for my epic and legendary boosters as well from what I can see). But of course this is by far not a large enough sample yet. I'm looking forward to your numbers! 👍
