Absolutely this! All this contest shit seems like some over the top rebalancing for PoA, and of course to increase koban spending. It's really stupid.

this isn't even proper rebalancing lol.

this contest is essentially the same as before, in terms of points. All it does is save you some clicks.

in the Old contest

Donate 10M gets you 200 points, which means  1M equals 20 points

In the new contest

Donate 200M gets you 4000 points, 1M still equals 20 points

All this change does, is throw big numbers at you. so yeah 4,000 points does seem better than 200 points right.... In terms of resources used per point, it is EXACTLY the same.

At this point, either KK is stupid or thinking the player base is stupid....

@ZamioI meant for more than just that 1 contest, but that contest in particular has clearly been upped so the spending is increased. Same as how it was increased before in the exact same way, wasnt it like 5000 or 50 000 Ymens for a single point or something like that?
For that particular contest it just seems like pulling the ladder out of the lower level players, and frustration for the up-coming players in the higher levels.

yes, this one encourages players to spend more, but relative to POA, it doesn't change anything.

To be fair, the rebalancing of the other contests have been positive to give lower level players almost the same scoring abilities. For example, points per XP was increased from 2 points to 10 in XP contests, to make up for the fact that low level players gain less XP from missions etc... Trolls points as well, became uniform so that it doesn't disadvantage low level players during a POA.

Selling items, it's tough for lower players to gather 500 items to sell, but for the rest that have reached Karole at least, gathering 500 junk items is not difficult.

This one, though .... no one should be happy as it is. I've never had 500M gathered and I wouldn't want to spend that amount just to clear a task and I doubt high level players as well want to spend that much.

It's almost like the rebalancing didn't work as intended, as pointed out in this thread by Noacc earlier.

Guys, some additional info on the contest changes:
The contest rebalance didn't work as planned (donation cost increased as well as the updated points).
We'll apply the fix tomorrow

And look, they've changed that nowimage.png

Coupled with the fact that there is another contest that requires 500 items to be sold to accumulate 10,000 points, there is a lot of unbalance with other contests where scoring 10,000 is absolutely trivial.

As an aside, they've also changed this at the same timeimage.png

I still think that entire contest idea is bad tbh, and the increase is only meaningful for PoA (assuming that the "Score X amount of points in contests" stays in the first place), but even tripling the value for PoA alone doesnt seem enough- its still selling 167 items to score 10k points, and that's on top of already having a "Sell items Task" seems like it's really poorly thought out. And also- the RNG involved in these contests, it necessitates either all contests being easy/relatively easy/maybe even trivial to score 10k points in (This is still assuming this task stays in the exact way that it was last time), which makes this even more of a bitch of a change. And as you probably saw, some people did get locked out of PoA for the last 3-ish days when the contest change hit.

If we had a button to transform 200M into 300 kobans I'd press it everytime I reach 300M, give or take some thousands.
So, no :P

Firstly: 200 million is just the initial bet, at the end of the contest the players spent a lot more, so the conversion button is too expensive, even if the players have level 400+.😏
Second: the donation price is the same for players of all levels, beginners will experience difficulties. So no 😊

You have to concede that this was confusing, because they increased the cost first but did not rebalance the points. Probably because it was an ongoing contest, still everything could have been changed at the same time after it ends.
