  1. After our club beat the champion a couple of times at first, interest spiraled down rather quickly. I would assume because of the low pay-out, with people getting 2 or 3 shards out of 1-60 etc. We then decided to do him only once a week. Even that doesn't seem to work. Today, with a relevant contest, we're still only up to 33%. For now, the champion is only a way to get another 900 contest points for those with the tickets to burn, on days with the right contest. On every other day, this "feature" might as well not exist. I'm not sure it's fixable. Even with a better return on investment, there'll still be the problem that lower level players (who I assume won't have the girls yet after a while) can't defeat the champ on their own. If higher level players then get involved to help their team-mates they will lower the odds for shards for the lower level players they're trying to help. Catch-22 built right into the whole mess. Only way I see to fix that would be to reward players for results relative to their own level.
  2. Kobans to skip reset don't appear to make a difference. Seems like it really is only related to the impression a player has made. And as such, makes it more competing against fellow club members instead of a combined effort.
  3. I was the first to fight the champion in my club. If it was a simple zero-sum I should then have had the total shards, as I had done all the damage up to that point. I was however still at the 1-3 shards. So it's not a simple zero-sum, but it might be related to the % of total impression required to win. Either way, the fact that the odds can go beyond 100 suggests to me it's something different. At the end one of our bigger players had contributed a lot, and got 22 shards. Me and one other player got 2, I don't know what everyone else got. One idea we're going to test after reset, is if spending kobans to reset the "resting" phase is a factor in this. So far I feel this is a missed opportunity. By giving all participants equal pay-out the big guns would have something to spend their stockpiles on, helping the lower level players in their club a bit while small fries like me happily contribute a % or 2. But then, I'm one of those small fries so I might be biased ;). With the unequal pay-out I can't help but wonder what the big guns in a club will do after they've collected the prize. And even if they wanted to help, their contribution while needed will also reduce the pay-out for the smaller players. That's a rather bad double sided blade. However this will turn out to work, I feel it is less of a binding factor in clubs than it could have been.
  4. I've had no problems at all today. Been logged in throughout the day. Is it possibly the result of connection resets/IP resets/change on your provider's side? If it is there's very little you can do about it.
  5. I think the problem comes from the words used. It suggests something about how "common" or "rare" the *girls* are. With that it also seems to suggest, like it would in other games, something about their usefulness in the game. Neither are correct. So how to explain that? I hope you are familiar with the phrase of "high maintenance" in reference to girlfriends/wives? The words used actually refer to their maintenance level. Girls that require Epic and Legendary levels of maintenance are (just like in real life) quite common in the game. If you look at it this way it also suddenly makes sense that a 3 star "legendary" girl has lower stats and lower income then a (5 star) starter girl, even though it was much more expensive to level her up. /tongue in cheek
  6. OK, thanks all for clearing that up.
  7. Fair enough BTW, something I really *do* like, but I haven't seen mentioned in any release note, is that the timer for PoP is now visible in "Town" after I've finished all the missions. They *do* make a lot of little improvements like that all the time, and then forget to list them in the notes. I just worry about the big changes KK is making and planning.
  8. I was about to post a "fair enough" reply, and then I remembered the KK post that actually kicked this off and realized that NO, anyone who posts a load of bullsh... ehh... doublespeak like that deserves, no NEEDS to be flamed to ashes. And given how much feedback KK have simply completely ignored in the past, we need to be loud and clear about it too. It is sad, and it's not personal. Yes, the KK staff are people too, and we could all have a grand ole time in a bar if only Covid buggered off. But a post claiming that less options to play for a mythic girl will make it more likely for people not to be at work or asleep is... well... PS OK, fair enough: I had not noticed the reduced lag, but now that you mention it, it does seem better. Seasons better? IDK, maybe? But it's also part of the whole move towards PvP which I don't like at all, so my jury is still out on that one. The rest? Meh.
  9. I'm not exactly sure what is happening but... Until recently I was mostly broke. I was balancing spending my gold on stat upgrades, buying most gifts in the shop and some books, and upgrading my harem girls. I was always short on gold. Now I have maxed my stats, collect from my harem much less frequent, buy everything as soon as it shows up in the shop, use the gifts to upgrade girls instantly, and I have almost 250 mil at the bank. Wait what?? Is that all because of the new PoP? Did I reach some treshhold that every player reaches sooner or later? And not to sound ungrateful (or just plain crazy) but having gold no longer be a factor hasn't made the game more interesting. The opposite, really.
  10. The devs must have read 1984 recently. Clearly less options is better! Lets go to only *one* moment to release all the shards. Clearly nobody will be working or sleeping. Giving everyone a bunch of 1 star ugly castoffs that got recycled from the artists waste bins will clearly make everybody more competitive. By an equal measure! Score! Oh, and the x50 button isn't problematic at all! I still can't make up my mind. Either the devs never actually look at the game, or they have been playing from the start, have the best accounts, and are simply doing what works for them? Do they throw darts to make decisions? At this moment trying to solve this mystery is pretty much the only fun part of the game left.
  11. LOL yup. One of the reasons I never play Event Pachinko (the others being the stupidly low drop rate and ridiculous text: "High chance of an event girl or event Avatar". As if an avatar is equal in desirability to a girl). I'm just wondering, if the "artist" can't get any resemblance to the original aside from the colour of the hair and eyes, why even bother calling her "Kimie"? Might as well call her... Petunia? Any other name?
  12. What do you mean with Season refresh? When I stop with only 1 kiss left, and come back 10 hours later I'm still looking at the same 3 opponents. So the opponents stay but their stats are refreshed?
  13. No argument about everything else, but this advice has me wondering. (Not the Bunny part! ) Spending cash on HC skill (or any skill) is only relevant for fighting vs other players, correct? I mean, you need only a bit to be able to defeat villains, he's not up to champions yet, so only in League and the new Season will these skills come into play? League is useless, because he's a new player and new players are screwed 15 ways till Sunday by the league system. The new Season system matches people on Mojo, so meh. And the awards are not so fantastic a new player should develop their account for that. Shouldn't a new player drop most of their money in their harem? In particular raising affection so they get more $ to buy more affection with to get more $ to...
  14. That's correct, or no one has selected me as opponent and then won.
  15. Beb (sorry!) got my retro-active like
  16. I thought I had read the whole thread, but I apologize to whoever it was :D. >>The only problem I see is for players in the Dicktator III brackets Yeah. I suspect at some point really high level players might not want to participate. But that doesn't really matter. I'm sure we'll never get all lower level players to participate either. Still doesn't matter, because like you said: >>To the contrary. You want to trail behind everybody else Exactly! And I had not considered equiping trash gear yet. >>But still... even if I appreciate the changes they made, the whole contest feels ill thought-out. That seems to be KK's thing. Remember that "progress bar" pop-up? Release something shabby, refuse to disable it, have players complain about it for weeks, and slowly fix it into something workable. Who knows where this Seasons stuff will end up?
  17. I believe you! (I will probably quit when I reach 400 :D). But the "let's dump everything 400+ together" is for contests, right? Are they still putting everything 400+ together for "Seasons" instead of limiting it to +-40 levels? Or is 40 levels higher so much worse at 400+ compared to between 200-300?
  18. So here's a thought. Stop thinking for a moment of this "season" as a PvP challange. Consider it a challange to the collective player base in co-operative play. How do we get everyone to lvl max? If my account pop ups for someone else as one of his 3 possible opponents, it doesn't cost me anything, correct? I mean, I can only lose Mojo when *I* am playing. So if I use my strongest team while I am selecting and fighting opponents (Duh!) and then I change to my worst possible line-up for the next 10 hours while I build up "Kisses" again, then everyone who draws me as opponent has an easier time. The more this happens, the more I will have (somewhat) weaker people ahead of me (who might otherwise have had to take a loss and/or got stuck "below" me in Mojo). So I will have more somewhat easier people ahead of me when I come back, put up my strongest team, and start fighting again. Obviously the more people do this, the more we help each other and thus help ourselves. And it's a easy as simply rotating your Alpha out. But even if not enough players do this to notice, it still makes selfish sense for every player to do this. Am I missing something?
  19. Yes. Many people (incl me) have been hoping and asking for more ways to pay. By not expanding the payment options there clearly is a malfunction in the cash-grabbyness of KK. I mean, I actually like the "pass-girl". Since she's the first not-half-bad girl in almost as long as I've been playing I wouldn't mind paying for the pass (assuming I get far enough to collect her). But as there still is no option available or that I trust to get money to KK, I'm still a F2P player :D.
  20. Defeating players 20 levels higher is quite easy. I did it regularly in the old arena. If you are not, you are not updating gear, or spending money on stats? Also, this patch makes a really big change! The thing about average mojo gains people had posted about before this post is wrong for 2 reasons: You get a choice of 3 opponents to fight. Take the best one! I regularly get an opponent in the mix that will give me more Mojo, even though he's lower level compared to the other 2 opponents. You get to choose *if* you want to fight. If all players collectively aim at maximizing Mojo, instead of using up all their kisses, we can keep leap-frogging each other to gain Mojo. That way we can all keep progressing, and the patch will prevent mismatches where you are matched with 3 x 400+ opponents and must swallow a drop. I'm now actually really interested to see how this will look at the end of the month! With this patch most people should (hopefully) be able to win more than 50% of their matches, and gain more then the average 20 Mojo. I am (dare I say it) impressed with the quick intervention by KK (I know I am easy with criticism, so I think it's also fair to give positive feedback as easily :D). Too bad the "season pass" is still $ only. PS my 247 just beat a 278... I never kept track of the max level difference, but I'm going to keep an eye out from now on.
  21. Don't worry. Even if it does get easier with a few more days and things (players) shift themselves out, then in a month time the whole thing will reset, the mess is back, and the ruckus is valid again. As far as I can tell, this "system" is designed to throw low-level and F2P players under the veteran bus. It will clearly not effect the stated purpose of leveling the gap, as the veterans have more rewards waiting for them while the rest get handed a few toys to keep us quiet. What I haven't decided on yet is if I mind being used as a punching bag for veterans to use as stepping stone at the beginning of every month while I ignore the whole thing. If/when I do quit it'll probably because I'm fed up with being fed BS by KK.
  22. After using up most of my initial "kisses" (meuh) I thought I'd give it some time, let other people pull ahead and maybe get some easier fights a bit later on in the day. Nope. After a couple of wins and losses I still haven't cleared stage 1, and currently can choose to fight with all my 247 levels against a 376, a 429 or a 324. This is so broken it just ain't funny anymore. And it will reset to this BS every month. OMG. Just like I stopped participating in the leagues, just like I stopped participating in some of the events, I'll just shrug and scratch another part of the game. I'd say it has reduced the odds of me ever paying, but those had already dropped to sub-zero so meh. KK, if they'll even read this, will think "Meh, he doesn't pay, so we don't care", and just like my flat-mates who already stopped playing I'll likely wander off to some other game. Could have been different, but I guess not from KK the way it is operating since I started playing.
  23. So, -Take away a feature where even low level players got at least some kobans every week. -Take away Arena feature where matching was pretty well done, and where players could get some free affinity, xp, orbs, etc. -Add new feature where people are matched solely on Mojo, even though level is a much better prediction of the outcome of a battle. Watch low level people choose which level 300+ player they will fight. Fun! -Include an option for those willing to spend $ on the game, but ignore your own ingame currency for that, so it is definitely out of reach for any F2P players. And more importantly: Claim it was done based on the player's expressed whishes for improvement! Predictable outcome: Low level players will either ignore this "feature" (best outcome) or quit the game. Conclusion: Grats, KK! Well done! You just played yourself.
