  1. Lets be honest though, that X50 button was a godsend.
  2. Umm... got her too... I'm not going to say how much I used resource-wise, but I think I made out like a bandit. Nevertheless, after seeing her safe and secure in my harem, I have but one thing to say... also, for the record, you have no idea how hard the decision to use this was, considering the sheer number of applicable memes i have for this situation...
  3. @DvDivXXX As for the latter, understood. The prior however is another matter. There is but one thing, or should I say person, stopping me from posting on the current patch... Yep.... I'm stopping myself. This is for a few reasons. First, there really isn't anything intrinsically funny in said patch. No real irony, no sense of schadenfreude, not a hint of something to be parodied in sight. It was, by almost all accounts, a fairly standard patch. Only issues of note being the PoP bug and pop-up bug, neither of which feel right to comment on. Secondly, a number of the more noteworthy parts of the patch and other items of note going on, including but not limited to the new addition to the test server, are either out of my league or things I don't have access to. Third, and most importantly, the contents of the patch seem to have been pretty well covered, and I mostly refuse to be derivative! I mean, a man's gotta have standards....they're pretty fucking low, but they're there, damnit. Ahem, back to the topic at hand, it was a patch, I'd go so far to say that it was a good patch, but I'll have to end this here. Once again, I'll stick to the current patch, whichever that may be, for the subject of my future posts....in this thread anyway.😉
  4. @DvDivXXX Duly noted. I will endeavor to keep my future monologues posts more in line with the patches at the time. I suppose I'll have to wait for the new patch before I can come up with any new material...
  5. I was pretty much going to recommend what natstar had said, with one addition, clear out all the girls from the lowest tier of any villain, that way you'll have one less thing to worry about when farming for mythics. As for event girls going on at the same time.... yeah, go with natstar's advice and get them first. If you have the kobans and/or sandalwood to spare go ahead and use them for both, otherwise, just focus on the mythic. Edit: Honestly speaking, this is the only way I was able to pick up a mythic girl this time. I'd just so happened to have focused on Donatian for the last few days as Dove was the farmable girl I wanted the most, so she was just about completed anyway. After that, I just used the sandalwood that I'd picked up previously and focus-fired at him till I was finally able to clutch Alt Finalmecia with the last of my stash.
  6. Rejoice, for I have returned again.....again.... Ok, so it's been 2~ish weeks, but i've been busy so whatever. Anyhoo, I'm here to throw in my 2 cents as a low~mid level player, same as last time. All in all... things ain't too bad, realistically speaking. I mean, Leagues and Seasons are a bit of a clusterfuck, with peoples stats being wildly all over the map while even being at the same level... but weirdly enough, it was pretty much like that before so it's almost as if nothing has changed ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Seriously though, if anything the playing field for those from level 200 to 350 or so seems to have been leveled, those at the top are those who have planned out and allocated their resources most effectively given the current shift in game mechanics. So for me, this is actually working out pretty well, though i wouldn't mind a more efficient way of farming gems... nevertheless, things seem to be working out As for my previously mentioned in-game money issues....they've actually been pretty comfortably settled. Turns out my paradigm shift strategy of ignoring my higher tier girls and focusing nearly all of my resources on the common or rare girls was the right path, for me anyway. They are now generating me enough cash to buy out the shop at any given instance while still having enough to reinvest into the harem. It's actually getting to the extent where I feel fairly comfortable about maxing out a mythic girl in a fairly short time-frame, more reliably than before the patch even. Then again, I should have known that building a reliable base of power is generally the best long-term strategy. As for the issues I've read about being faced up at the top..... it really doesn't mean a whole to to me. Don't get me wrong, I realize how selfish that sounds, but those issues are way beyond my current level of 253. By the time I get there, things will already be sorted out, we will have bigger issues to worry about, or we'll be too tired of it to care. Is it a bit of a defeatist attitude? Perhaps, but I can only really afford to worry about so much these days. I suppose that will be all for now, till next time, this is M7IN, signing off.
  7. For the record, that was not intended as an accusation. It was a reaction to a previous post. An accusation/report would be put forward only if I have the data to make one.
  8. Side note, if the gem eating bug is real, that would explain a few things. My gem count does look lower than I thought it would be at this point, then again, that might just be wishful thinking. Thankfully I'd been focusing on the cheaper girls so the impact isn't as bad, but it still adds up...
  9. Fret, not for I, M7IN, have returned Rejoice, for I bring tidings of..... well, things are still rather crap, but they don't seem to be quite as bad as I had originally thought they might be, at least not until i completely run out of gems. 🙄 At any rate, my in-game financial situation is more stable than I thought it might be, immensely helped by the monetary buff to 3 particular girls. Nevertheless, my own efforts have helped to stem the constant outflow of cash by relying on methods I thought I gave up on long ago... ...my own Harem. For ages I had focused all my resources on the top tier units I'd managed to wrangle, few they may be. While they would bring in 10k here, 50k there, it wasn't enough to keep me floating though the new situation I'd found myself in. Then I had a thought, what if I'd been going at this back-to-front. I checked the wiki to confirm my suspicions, sure enough, with the current meta, I've gone about this the wrong way. So, what's my new plan? Focusing on grass roots efforts. I'm going to invert the pyramid and focus on the lowest rarity girls I have for a good while. Why? First, a fuckload cheaper. It takes a fraction of the resources to max out the affection of a common or uncommon girl, not to mention leveling them up to lvl 250. Also, while the common and uncommon girls, with the exception of the 5* ones, don't give a lot individually, together the cash actually adds up pretty quickly, and if you immediately reinvest they snowball pretty efficiently, even the seemingly cheap 1* girls can be fairly effective. Last, now that I've refocused my resources, I've finally been able to maximize shifts in Places of Power, which seem to be one of our last bastions for crystal/orb/cash mining. With this in mind, I'm actually eking out a decent living. Is it as effective as it was pre-nerf? Hell no, but it's working out fairly well for now. Well, that's it for the moment. I'll keep an eye on the ongoing discussion and chip in when I feel my insight/peculiar brand of humor is necessary. Till then, back to the hentai mines.
  10. I've decided to sit on the sidelines for a few days before weighing in on the new issue, that being the current build on the test server... ...gotta say, I'm feeling rather fucked sitting around level 230... That said, I may as well see this as a challenge and make the best of it (for now). All in all, I will leave you with the words of a wise man, I hope they will give you strength in these troubled times.
  11. Honestly, I'm getting vibes of "hey look, a distraction" from all this. We're already well into the next issue before the previous one has had time to settle...
  12. @Kenrae I think it really comes down to costs and benefits. Think about it this way one of the primary currencies you use in daily life has been suddenly massively devalued and you have a ton of it on hand. you can still use it to buy things, but the cost is higher and the benefits are lower. are you going to go trade it all in then for resources in a panic, or are you going to hold onto it in the hope that the market balances out? Basically, i think most people are on the fence, waiting to see if kinkoid will revert the prices to normal in a week or so after the public outcry/backlash. sure, they can participate in item selling contests, but i presume most people see it as a trap, to drain them of this alternate cash source.
  13. So in other words... The market in turmoil uncertainty in the air spending at an all time low no one wants to invest, or if they do it's minimal at best ...sounds to me like the bubble has burst and we're officially in a recession.
  14. @DvDivXXX I'd thought about as much. The main reason I'd like to transfer would be that Nutaku's own little world can be damn quiet and rather isolating. There really isn't a good platform of communication there, hence me meandering over here to speak my mind.
  15. ...I have but a single reason for that... and here we are. On that note, i wish there was a way to migrate my nutaku HH account over, but that doesn't seem to be an option...
  16. Hey I'm new I've created an account mainly to throw my 2 cents in about a particular topic.... but if I'm going to do something, I may as well do it right. That said, hello, I'm M7IN, this is my obligatory introduction.... ....and I think I might stick around for a while, this place seems interesting enough.
  17. part 2 That brings us to the low-middle to middle class citizens, as before lets say level 151 to... I don't know, 300?... Anyway, I'm right smack dab in there around 230. Thankfully, I still have sources of income, I have (had T_T) some savings, I can still get by...sort of. However, things are suddenly a lot tighter than they were before. Sure, I can get a little spending money from my girls every few hours, I can get a bit from performing, quests.... have virtually no payout but at least the XP is good, with luck I can maybe get a million from places of power every 6 hours, and then we come to champions, my one real source of income left...except that is also limited by both time and supply of tickets, but I'm not going to get into that. Nevertheless, I'd honestly say that relying on selling items, more specifically the epics, I'd pulled from the odd 10X great summon was still my primary income, allowing me get the supplies i needed to continue leveling my team and myself. Again, I can still get by, but I'm certainly not happy, and I'm really not in the mood to buy a resource pack at this time. As for high tier players....I don't really know, personally. From what I've read in the posts, you/they seem more dumbstruck at Kinkoid's choice and worried for the lower tier player-base (thanks for that btw) then worried that their "massive stack of cash" will suddenly disappear. Rather than a balance change to fix the problem, it feels more like an annoyance for those in the high tier, a kick in the teeth/gut for those of us around the middle, and a stab in the back or sudden crisis for those further down. All that said, my critique aside, do I have the solution? Do I have the answer to the problem? Am I the chosen one? Hell no, what do you think I majored in, economics? Nah, I'm more the the history/anthropology department. That said, I do know cycles, and I tend to notice when something is about to repeat itself. This sort of thing kinda happens all the time. My main thoughts/reflections come down to these main points. Sudden drastic actions rarely work well and usually tend to exacerbate the situation. Problems like this can only be solved with measured steps, with hopefully full transparency. Be open to constructive criticism and discussion, perhaps someone out there has some good points or ideas on how to solve the problem in a way that works for almost everyone. Have a little patience and trust for the community. Heck, I've played this off and on for a couple years, and most have played this for way longer. We want to see this keep going, especially after the time and or money invested, so let us actively help in that. That's pretty much all I have to say about this at the moment. If i were to make a suggestion on what to do in the meantime to ease up on lower tier players...idk, maybe reinstate the original rate, but have a maximum value any item could sell for after a certain point. That way low and middle tier players would have that source of income back while putting a limit to the income at higher tiers. (my apologies if this thought offends any high tier players out there. I'm not trying to single anyone out, it was just a thought that crossed my mind. I doubt anyone is going to take it seriously)
  18. Since we're already having a discussion on economics, I may as well say it like it is. This entire issue really comes down to inflation, too much money in the hands of too few, and a governmental body scrambling for methods to reign all this back into control....while likely making the situation worse in the process. Is this an exact analogy? No, obviously not, there are some differences in the situation, but it's close enough to be on the money for the most part. That said, how do you control inflation? That is a problem that human societies and marketplaces have been struggling with since the beginning. There are any number of "methods", functional ones however are less common. One common strategy would be to limit the amount of money in circulation, which seems to be what kinkoid decided to go with....but in this case it feels a little ham-fisted. Sure, the ever flowing spigot of fresh money into a flooded economy has been slowed to a trickle, which might give them some time to figure out a solution...the catch is one of the big issues we've been talking about, the low-mid level players. Using a real-world analogy, low and middle level players can be seen as low to low-middle income citizens. The low income citizens, lets say players just starting out to 150 for the sake of argument, don't make a lot of money, but (hopefully) enough to get by, with little to nothing in the way of savings. A sudden crisis in the way of cash flow can become a serious problem instantly. In game, there is no having to worry about players not being able to pay for the heating, electric, or food bills (unless we start talking micro-transactions...), but getting the cash to level up girls, raise the affection , evolve them, and then to raise the player's own stats is crucial. Radically reducing payout of one of the 2 reliable early game sources of money is crippling and would actively harm the early game experience. Sure it might cause one of the players to spend some cash to buy a pack, but more new players would be turned away. Actively turning away new blood is not exactly a good plan. ...to be continued in part 2
  19. Ok, I made an account just to throw my 2 cents into these already murky waters. I'm only around level 230, I've played off and on over the last couple years, quite a bit more recently though. For me, selling items after 10 pulls was my most reliable source of in-game income. Now with this reduction, I'm getting around 10% of what I could get before. Selling epic equipment that had net me around 330k now gets me around 40k. With this drastic decrease I can't afford to buy the more effective gifts to up affection let alone gain the amount of cash needed to bring a girl to the next tier in any reasonable amount of time. I also find the thought of spending the total of a couple day's grinding just to raise one stat by 60 like it isn't really worth it. I hate to say it, but I feel like my legs have just been swept from under me with the only option left being to crawl forward at a snail's pace. I don't like that, not one bit. All that in mind, I don't want to quit this game, I really don't. That said, if my only real way of progressing is slowed even further, not to mention my rate of leveling/transforming the girls in the game (which should be the whole point of this) then I'm really not getting a lot of enjoyment out of this. *also, just to note, extra salty about the fact that I'd finally just gotten my first mythic girl, and now it will probably take several times as long to max out her tier...
