You tried? Yes, we know for sure. Many of us purchased the premium pass in one or more of the five PoA events we've had so far, so by your logic you could say we "tried". You might have PoA (Path of Attraction), which is a type of events, confused with PoP (Places of Power) which is a permanent feature. Both have the option to upgrade them for a certain amount of kobans, but only PoP keeps the upgrade, because it's a permanent feature.
