trunks2585 Posted August 10, 2018 Share Posted August 10, 2018 After some back and forth comments with Chthugha it was agreed a thread of this nature on it's own would be a good idea to give some clarity to the devs, the mods, and other players, as to why we all play this game and also if we are close to loosing interest or not. This is not a thread to suggest improvements in, I'm pretty sure we already have a few threads like that, this should just be a thread for why we play the game as it is now, or how it was when we started and why we stuck through the changes, good and bad. For me personally, it was the story. I wanted to see how this harem gathering thing would work, what kinda of porno story entailed trying to get a harem going. When I started the game, I wasn't expecting to play a slow paced browser/gatcha game, but I stuck with it to see more of the story and more of the girls. There was enough content both in story and girls to get and it was so new and fresh I kept playing. I'll usually give most games like this a years chance because that's usually what it takes to get a strong team or feel like you've made enough progress in them to evaluate how you've done. And I'm basically at a year now, through all the changes that have happened, I had just missed the first anniversary event and started too late to get the pilot for the travel event. So why do I still play? Three reasons, out of habit and to not fall behind, and unlocking scenes. You have to play daily to farm kobans and keep up with event girls, some of which I really like. The pokemon 'gotta catch em all' mentality is heavy on me, and there's a few pachinko girls I want to get. I'd like to keep up with the story as well, but honestly I'm caught up, so right now seeing what girls come out every month as well as unlocking their poses and scenes if i like them and trying to save up kobans for pachinko is the only reason I play. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Because I cannot change my compulsive behaviour for the better and this game is like several games before a nice way to distract myself while studying and has not gotten too time consuming. I am at the plain of rituals atm and I really like it here. To be honest I thought of stopping playing a couple of times, once at the Invaded Kingdom and once at the Magic Forest, because I didn't like the story of either of them-seemed like a waste of energy both physical and in-game to me. However, the legendary events where happening on both of these times so I continued.. I ended up liking the game, its art, its goofy storytelling, most parts of it anyway.. With how slow it takes to get to the end and the wait time for the next scroll to come out, I found myself trying to compete with others in Arena and trying to get the biggest collection. Throughout the year, or so playing HH, I never found anything that satisfied the whole reason why I played hentai games in the first place. Oddly enough, HH gave me a new reason to stick with the game and that's to watch it grow. Out of the others hentai games that actually turns me on, this is the only one that I care to watch succeed, do to how long I've stayed with them. I clear the missions for free kobans and collect money from my harem whenever convenient. Nothing else interests me anymore in this game. Arena is not possible to get into the top 100 unless you are a koban whale. Pachinko has too many girls I will never get as a free player. Tower of Fame is difficult to get into the top 100 unless you save for weeks or months for 1 opportunity to be in the top 100 as a free player. Forum that the devs largely ignore in favor of other forums that aren't directly linked to the drop-down menu doesn't help the situation. My enthusiasm for the game continues to decline. After I unlock the affection scenes of the girls I got in the anniversary event, I'll be playing the game even less. I want to like the game as much as I did when I first started playing, but it seems the devs and I have different priorities, and that's ok. To even bother having PvP included but giving the player an impossible time winning at all due to facing 15-levels-above-opponents is the most outrageous gaming experience of all time. PvP in the Arena is the main reason I even continued to play this game, without it this game would be nothing.Levitya's become another reason for me to play this game but, seeing how impossible it is playing the Arena I'll have to miss out on her once again. With that being said, I will never return to this game till the developers have balanced the Arena/PvP experience out & of course till Levitya's 2nd comeback. These constant PvP losses are so sickening & tiresome, the developers should have done something about it a long freakin' time ago. Well, it's their loss if people like myself get tired quickly of this game, I can only win from it by saving my own time not wasting a single second on this game ever again. I don't even care so much about the affection scenes, i don't buy gifts in the market and i upgrade a girl only when i got enough free gifts. Gameplay doesn't exist here, player ability isn't required, no strategy needed, pvp battles consist of 1 mouse click. Skiron Posted August 12, 2018 Share Posted August 12, 2018 this might sound strange, but i keep playing this game because ive recently decided to play less competitive! instead ive decided how i want to play this game and it feels much better... i want to give a few examples and try keep them short... i have done two big approaches to the weekly tof rankings, but now i dont care about tof anymore at all: first try i saved money for 2-3 weeks and went for "money spent" and "stat upgrades". ive started into the week at ranks 10-20 and quickly i had to realize: all i can try to do is not to drop out of top 1oo over the week, because my income couldnt stand the challenge to rank up. long story short: on friday ive hit the point where stat upgrade costs doubled up the first time and thats where ive went down... result: ended up somewhere around 170-180 at stats ranking and missed like 170 kobans, which are worth less than 2 bucks (who cares), but i had no progress at all on my girls for a whole week , which afterwards annoyed me much more. the other try was the following week: due to the upgraded stats i had an insane winning streak at arena, so i went for the mojo ranking. on saturday i ranked up that high that i finally hit the brickwall of unbeatable opponents. on sunday afternoon with just a few hours left i was on rank 109th and had to do risky fights... and of course lost them so either i could prepare and save for weeks on another try, stopping all progress and still get screwed by rng and bad luck or: i dont care for tof and enjoy the game itself! f.e. ive just maxed out Tanned Marina and she became my new favorite (and best) Beta Girl in my team! and i havent lost a thought about saving the affection and money for upgrades on her for two more days, just to add it to the next weeks ranking, where it most likely wouldnt have done any difference like it was no difference this week anymore... and this little success of maxing her out feels much better than stressing myself on rankings... same goes for the activity contests. there are simply a few that i dont mind anymore, the ones about villain fights without arena wins. it just needs 4 players who fight a villain one map further than you and you stand no chance... i know it is a strange personal thing, but i prefer to clear one villain after another. so im questing in the magical forest, but til yesterday i was still fighting Edwarda two maps earlier. so yeah im screwed on these contests, but getting Edwardas last girl yesterday felt insanely good! just to know except for event girls i never ever have to face her again! ...and her sticky fingers! (sry for the bad game of words there) in arena i dont care for mojo anymore as well. i even appreciate losing 30 mojo every now and then! because in the end it doesnt cost me anything and by losing mojo im not stuck on unbeatable opponents. more wins and more rewards mean more progress on my girls... and arent the girls the reason why we all started this game?! last but not least there was a post by someone else, sry cant remind who, which helped me to accept that ill never have the full collection of girls! it is most likely impossible being F2P to keep up with the constant addition of new girls to the game... but instead of being frustrated by it i want to see it as a nice surprise element who i might get and who not... and accepting this was like the last step to become completely relaxed and leaned back... i think i have failed to keep this short... anyways i hope some of you might be inspired by this and less stress yourself by any rng or bug or whatever and enjoy the game the way it should be: as a game that should be fun and nothing else! greetingz, your Skiron 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If I ask myself the question Why do I keep playing this game, the short answer is, I don't even know anymore. Before anyone snits on me. Just about everything listed explains why I kept at it and why I probably soon won't. Funny, just before I logged on I was giving it a very serious though as to if I should quit this game. <somewhat off topic> Even more odd I suppose, it was because of crush crush which was hinting at a new girl, I just noticed that the new DLC girl they added took the next slot, so I am figuring that is the way they are going. No way I am going to spend the sort of cash they are asking for a game that is basiclly a grinding carpel tunnel click fest. I finished the rest but the game takes forever to load and there is no point picking up my diamond a day if they are not going to expand the game. </somewhat off topic> So I started to reconsider this game. I find every change they make was actually good. Well the ToF contests were not really a contest for 99.99 percent of us but it doesn't hurt anyone and the harem rejig is clunky but I had the daily card so I was able to avoid that. I find the game is better than it was when I started around the beginning of the year. So why quit. 1: [I have no reason to improve anymore, I can finish the story line as is] I have reached the end of the story line. I could come back once a day and keep on top of it as they finish it off. I am guessing there is space on the map for one more region and they will stop as I seem to recall reading somewhere they plan to move onto other projects. I am level 210, I got 4 legendary items and a 5 star Alpha girl and my stats bought up. At this point I can crush tentacle guy and whoever is at the next hypothetical level easily. Then walk away. 2: PvP is an easy joke. It is just an excuse to grind for more resources to get better to... well what is the point, see point 1. Once I accept I have enough to finish the game easily, PvP becomes a pointless [and again easy] grind. 3: Ditto for daily missions and daily contests, playing Panchiko to get more legendary items. 4: I had some hopes for the ToF contests to spice things up, but instead of facing 100 people as was the original plan, we are facing all 60K or so players and so it becomes pointless. A few categories I could get in the top 100 but it is pointless to do that much muckery for a small reward about once a month. 5: Get all the girls? I am NOT spending 40 bucks in real life money for a bunch of pixels. I just don't understand the mentality of anyone who would. Even if I won a huge lotto. I've put money in other games but in return for something a bit more significant and with a hugely better return. You guys know there is xvideos, pornhub, xhamster and hell even google image search right? So if I can't get all the girls, it doesn't really matter if I get any girls or not. So that is not nor has ever been a driving force. Girls are just there to fight and get me cash and well, see point 1. 5a: I am still missing a few boss girls but the drop rate is idiotically high. Apperently I am wrong for thinking so but it seems more think this way then not. There is a happy medium ground between too much and too few. I had the idea of finishing them before doing koban panchiko but it would take forever. So that isn't much of a motivator. 6: Level all the girls. Done, except for 2 of my 3 5 star girls but meh. Could of been an OCD motivator but no longer. Aside from logging in once in a blue moon to run the adventures there seems no point to continuing. And that motivation is only because I've reached the end, I figure log on once every second day is enough to keep pace. In short the adventures will soon be over and everything else is a pointless treadmill that leads nowhere as I am powerful enough as it is. Level up, get more gear and stats to crush PvP to get more gear and stats yadda yadda yadda. It doesn't help that to really max out your income you need to log on 5 or 6 times a day. You need about 1.5 hours or again multiple log ons to get the daily missions and those battles every half hour also mean a huge time suck. At least the game loads quickly. But still. It was interesting at first, then it became an OCD style grind and now, it's a pointless OCD style grind. Again I think the ToF contests was keeping me in but disappointment. Everyone deserves a chance to voice how they feel about this game and how motivated or not they are. What I DON'T want to see are improvement suggestions, I just want to see an evaluation of the game as it currently stands. I have been playing for more than a year, actually, and there are several reasons why it has gotten me so invested: 1-Porn aside, this is a long term game about resource management that requires little daily effort. So this game allows me to take constant mental breaks from my stressful job to focus on something funny, pretty and a little kinky, which I can easily forget for several hours to go back to my daily obligations. 2- The fact that it isn't pay to win, even free players have a chance to enjoy the best parts of the game, which is rare for these kind of games. 3- The parodies are great, both the characters and the stories they re-enact. 4- The girls are pretty hot. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I love the artwork of the girls, and the variety, and that they drop just fast enough that I've always got a moving target and never really feel done. They have Discord and apparently another website in their own language that's a lot older than this one. When it comes to prioritiy, we are last and most likely forgotten. Information here to the Devs is done by the moderators. I hardly doubt this "last place to check" will have anything they don't already know, or bother caring to know. By just looking at the forums at a whole, you can clearly see new players complaining about some stupid thing in the game they don't like and will eventually leave shortly after. The die hard fans (myself) will try desperately reach out and have an actual dev recognize a problem they are presenting, but only to find out we get a mod telling us some BS just to make us happy. If the mod is late (because we only have TWO) we get responded with mindless fools who only agree so they now have a reason to rant. The final are those who don't care. Games are completely garage nowadays, why should this be any different? They will leave when they want and probably return, but likely go through the cycle again. Like everything that is considered a hobby, we do it to step away from a hard day, or escape from reality. We do it to have fun, meet new friends, be somebody other than yourself. Whatever the reason, this game does help with that by some degree (for some people). However it won't last forever. Hitting that yearly mark will probably get you thinking about this same topic. Bottom line is that people will leave games one day, or another. A company cannot cater to all. As long as others are willing to take the leavers place, nothing is wrong. The cycle continues again... I find it really annoying that since the storyline isn't finished, I can log in and not be able to use any energy and have no way of using it or trading it to do more battles (or sell it straight up for in game cash, or save up more energy for later to progress). The hard limit of 100 makes me sad. Like, I get it, gotta sell them kobans and it's not cheap or easy to make story progressions. I think it would be a nice reward to be able to sign in and have a task to do that lets you save up energy for future use. One thing I wish were more integrated, were in game interactions with other players. It's like, you log in and spend your energy/cash/kobans/combativity and then there's absolutely nothing to do. It would be cool to see some more mini games integrated with rewards to keep me playing against other players without it being a "click a single button" or "spend specific amounts of cash". First, I like collecting new girls and uncovering their graphics and poses. Second, plain and simple, I am a really finicky guy, and (save some exceptions) I really hate to leave unfinished what I had previously started. This alone will be probably the main reason I will try to reach the end of the game (which, if I remember correctly what I had read elsewhere in the forum, the devs have start to consider to some point in the future), despite the fact that I am a free player and in my humble opinion, since I started to play actively, a little less than a year ago (I had a period where I was registered but I wasn't playing), the span between paying and free players became much more wider than before. I know there are other RPG sex games, but i haven't tried those. the honest truth is that as far as hentai sex games goes, this one is one of the most complete ones. and the fact that it acts as a sex version of Pokemon go with the harem girls is enough to keep me coming back. the need to keep collecting and upgrading the girls is what makes me come back.
