Guideline consolidation?

@Noacc, @Mika Kinkoid Now that there are 2 new CM, will there be changes made to the English forum guidelines to bring it in line with the French forum guidelines? Or will the different standards remain?

An example would be the criteria for spoilers. The French forum is more lenient compared to the English forum.

Another guideline here and in the French forum is that everything be posted in the forum's language. Since Noacc is currently doing work for HH in Japanese and Mika has interest in Spanish, will players who speak those languages have a section opened up to them to post in those languages? I am asking because of the number of posts in languages other than English or French that are done here, and the first response I have to give them is an admonition to post in the correct language.

English is easy to learn at least at a basic level, and the forum is a perfect place to practise if you are not a native english speaker. Another advantege is that in the english forum you can interact with people from all over the world. Even if someone doesn't know english he can always translate with google, so there is no excuse. I suspect that some people read the forum with translation always active and forget to translate to english when they post.

Hey Blain! That's a good question. That fully depends on the number of users. We want to avoid forum that feels empty. Hopefully, if enough players join it may be done so.

As for standards, it should be different for every nation. Some things that can be tolerated in English, might not be tolerated in German. We adapt the moderation to the community. The English community is bigger and more culturally mixed, therefore more strict rules are needed.
