  1. Where, exactly? I can't see them in epic pachinko. I can see them in ripoff pachinko though:
  2. I was thinking the purple thing looks like a pokemon. But I haven't been familiar with any pokemon characters since the red/blue days, so I'm at a loss on who the girl could be based on.
  3. Let's face it, if they actually cared about pvp balance, they wouldn't have let charm get stuck with the severely under-powered specialty for so long.
  4. copy/paste a previous post.
  5. Slightly less than 40 euros (40 euros = 5520 kobans). So I'm assuming you're a new player. Doesn't this new system make you SO happy that you're now behind me, the 15 month veteran, in terms of kobans spent per girls acquired?
  6. Why? The price is whatever you decide .Don't try to duck responsibility here. And let's not obscure prices with kobans here, either. 7200 kobans is 50 euros. An event girl should cost 50 euros? Really? How did you calculate that? And as for "a high chance of gaining 1 event girl or 1 event avatar" I want to be very clear here: The avatars are worth nothing. Anyone interested in them will buy them directly for a third of the price. Anyone getting one from pachinko has wasted not just the 1200 extra kobans that the spin cost, but the entire 1800 to get something they never wanted. So how much of this "high" chance is going towards a girl and how much of it is going towards garbage? Earlier in the thread you said you had the "experience" that providing drop rates would not improve game play. When was this? Saying you had the "experience" with it means you tried it at some point. So I repeat: when was this? And another thing, you do realize that this actually makes it MORE difficult for newer players to catch up rather than less? If a new players has to spend more than 5400 kobans for an event girl they just have that many more kobnas to spend to catch up to those of us who HAVE gotten event pachinko girls in the past. I have 4. At 5400 kobans each, that's a total of 21,600 kobans. If a newer player has to spend more than that to get 4 event girls then I am the one with the advantage in the new system. Can you tell a new player that he'll be where we are after he's a year of playing? If they're spending kobans and all they're getting are garbage avatars for it, then they'll just be behind forever.
  7. Technically I'm not. I made a 6th account and they're all just parked for the time being.
  8. That was the number I assumed at first too, but upon further info, I found it to be WAY to high. The first W3 league launched on Oct. 4, with 1200 people. Which means that the initial player base put into leagues was ~53,000. There must have been some culling based on activity. I.E. People who hadn't been active in the last X days were not put into the first league group. And yes, I was talking about what you're calling "proportinal equilibrium." There's just no way to model player activity. But yes, projections for Jan - Feb were way off, especially factoring in that people with 0 points in W1 do not promote, even if they are in "top 15" with 0 points. I have 6 accounts (only 1 of which I'm actually checking in every day) so I've been able to observe some of the lower tier leagues. And in the W1 leagues I've seen, at this point there are not 15 people per league promoting to W2. Probably around 10. Anyway, the Wanker 1 league is what's going to cause problems with your ideas. In any attempt at making "tiered" subleagues, all the new players will be fighting each other for that 1 promotion spot, while the inactive, sleeping giants, all with 0 points will all be together, not getting promoted in the sub-league with the most promotion slots. Another thing: It sounds like the level spread across leagues is more balanced than you think. This week's S1: 1 player at level 140 (He must be having a great time. But he has 47 points so far, making him 77th place, so good on him for trying) 22 players at level 150-199 14 players level 200-224 15 players level 225-249 14 players level 250-274 30 players (including me) level 275-299 5 players level 300+ And there are 7 players with 0 points so far. Including players at level 292, 296 and 298. So look forward to seeing them in W3 next week. The level 298 guy is the only player other than myself who has more than 160k ego, so I'll finally be able to make 1st place in S1 and move on to S2. Because that's been my philosophy. First place or don't promote. Anyway, I guess I'll re-iterate my previous advice. Endure. You never answered, but what level are you? It sounds as if you're low enough that you could be gaining a level every day. Or in less than 36 hours at least. That's the bright side in all this. As a super-active player at level 276 it takes a little over 48 hours for me to gain a level (5 levels in 11 days, based on being lvl 271 when I started this thread). It must be significantly more time for the semi-active players in lower tier leagues. So you'll catch up.
  9. I've mentioned this in another thread but during epic days, I was unhappy with how many ffights it took me to get Lupa, so after spending kobans to get her I didn't spend kobans in the attempt to get another girl. I don't know if that counts for your question. If I've started spending kobans trying to a girl I've never "given up" before getting her.
  10. OK, so the "how you doing in "league" thread got a bit off topic, and the participants were rightfully chastised for it. Anyway. It has been a few months since leagues were started. Nevertheless, an equilibrium hasn't been reached yet. There have been many people, including myself, who have predicted models for league populations, and an equilibrium isn't expected until late January or early February. I've mentioned this before, but the whole situation could have been avoided if, for the very first league, the top 20,000 or so highest level players were put directly into W2. But it's too late now, we just have to wait it out. At level 271, I am tied for 48th highest level in my S1 league. And I've been purposefully avoiding promotion for a while now. I don't know if that counts as "tanking" as I've never demoted, but there it is. Judge me as you will. League rewards HAVE been modified since leagues were implemented. Perhaps not enough, but it may be a work in progress. And although yes, W1 and W2 rewards for 1st are better than lower placing rewards in higher leagues, you still have to account for the loss of kobans the following week if you're purposefully demoting. If you're averaging 120 kobans per week (240 for 1st place in W2, 0 the following week, repeat ad infinitum), you're still well below the koban income of someone who is taking 31st-45th in S1 consistently, week after week. Which, frankly, shouldn't be that hard. I don't see how that helps anything. People taking 0 points now would still be taking 0 points. Funny thing, prior to leagues being implemented, I and a bunch of other people would purposefully weaken ourselves by swapping teams to help others in arena battles. Check out the thread about it here: Of course, I no longer do this, but it's actually amazing how much your power drops simply by swapping your alpha. Check this out. Before: After: A loss of 34k ego, 9k damage and 2k defense. And that's just swapping alphas. People who REALLY want to get a low score could swap their entire teams, along with their equipment. Then they'll get a negative score, probably a lower negative score than an actual low level player would get from winning some, losing some. Anyway, I guess what I'm saying is to just endure. Being low level sucks, but you won't be low level forever (what level are you, by the way?). And if you actually know what you're doing in terms of PvP team and equipment setup, you can consistently beat people many levels higher than you. I do all the time:
  11. If that were the case, then people who are doing it purposefully would just get into 1 fight and be done for the week. But in any event, high level players being still in W3 is hardly surprising. This week my S1 ranges from 160-309, and it's looking like players currently at levels 293, 291, 276 and 274 will be demoted. So don't underestimate what levels there are in a given league. Perhaps these guys are exactly where they belong based on their activity. 3 of the 4 players I mentioned do have points, just a very small amount. It doesn't matter how high a level a person is, if they're only logging in a few times per week of course they're going to be in lower leagues. Sucks for low level players, but the only solution would be to sort people into leagues based on level AND activity. And I don't see how that could be implemented. But to the low level players, even if you're only gaining about 100 kobans a week with leagues and ToF combined, at least take solace in the fact that its 100 more kobans per week than I was earning when I was low level.
  12. There's a weighting to which girls you get from epic pachinko. Regular boss girls are worth 1, Regular pachinko girls worth 2, and event girls (regardless of if they're available on a boss) are worth 3. So when I made my own calculation on the previous page, I had 2 event girls and 27 regular pachinko girls available to me, giving me a weighted pool of 60, and 3/60 = 5% for Secretary Rabbi specifically. That's why I gave a range for a hypothetical second attempt in that post.
  13. I'm lucky that I was able to complete at least 12 of the 14 event missions in each of October, November and December last year?
  14. Yep, Salem. And you wouldn't need to have her in your harem to confirm, if you have access to the "Cave in fire" story scroll. ID 344155
  15. 1st place in Wanker 1! What an achievement! Seriously though, this account only reached level 20 and entered the league on Sunday. I was very active in it on Sunday and Monday, didn't log in at all on Tuesday, and logged in once today. Only 13 people have points and will get promoted. So for those keeping track of such things, hopefully that provides some clue as to how fast lower leagues are growing (or shrinking, as the case may be).
  16. 3 of the girls I had from last year: Pretty disappointed that Secretary Rabbi is in pachinko rather than on a boss. I did the math, and I would have exactly a 5% chance of getting her on a epic x10 attempt, or a 5.17% or 5.26% chance of getting her on a 2nd attempt (based on which type of girl I got on the first spin). And I wouldn't have enough kobans for a 3rd attempt. So no new girls for me this event.
  17. Well, finally got one. Lupa took me every free fight to this point and about 4500 kobans worth of refills, some before the refill discount kicked in but most after. That doesn't represent any real cash thankfully, and I still have a bank of 13k kobans, but I'm calling it quits on refills for this event.
  18. That worked, thanks. Now to create Urists 6 through 20.....
  19. Apparently you need 15 girls to join a club. Urist 4 isn't there yet.
  20. Still in S1, could have promoted last week but purposefully avoided doing so. Currently in 1st, but I don't know if I can hold it. I'm still sticking to my habit of not promoting unless I can take first. But that's not interesting. What is interesting is I have 3 lower level accounts, all in W2. For each of them, I only logged in 3-4 times last week. So each finished with between 135 and 180 points in W2. And each got the 16th-30th prize reward. I'm not implementing any kind of strategy with these accounts, just whatever happens happens. From this, I think a newly level 20 player could get up to at least W3 simply by staying active and spending all his points.
  21. Not mandatory. Right. Declining to join a club just cripples you with respect to your arena and league performance with the lack of stat boosts. I have a solution though, but it's kind of tedious:
