Market restock timer

When I checked the Market a few hours ago, the timer for a new stock seemed to have just started counting down from 12 hours. I figured it might be that the timer isn't fixed anymore, but when I just checked out the Market again about ~3 hours later, it has a new stock and the timer started counting down from 12 hours just as I entered the Market once more.

Is something happening here I don't understand, is the timer faulty?

Not just leveling up resets it to 12 hours if you buy stuff from the market after you leveled up and come back more than 12 hours later when you click the market it's at 12 hours as well.

To be precise: Leveling up or end of the previous 12 hour timer restocks the store. The new 12 hour timer starts the moment you first enter the store after restocking.

You can take advantage of it by timing leveling up with restock timer. Hold off claming the rewards from the daily missions untill the old restock timer ends, enter the store, buy what you need, then claim the mission rewards, level up and enter the newly restocked store again.

would be nice though if that 12 hours countdown at least restarted without having to be online.
