Surprisingly, this bug is still in play. Do not click on items to unselect them - they will be lost!
To save a set of weak gear equip them all to your character before upgrading any mythic gear. 🥸-

Way back in Patch Notes #13. Search for the phrase "classic champions" to find the exact spot. Max level is 900.
Romero will be level 900 at tier 28, Whaty at 27, Matsuda at 26, Ryu at 25, and Alban at 23, I think.

My club leader is super chill ⛄, but our club is full. If that changes we'll keep you in mind.
You might not get many responses here. Have you sent a request to join a club in the game? Open the Leagues window and you'll see the word Clubs in the top left. Pick a club and send them a request to join. If they don't accept you after a couple days I would recommend trying again with another club. Good luck! 🍀-
