Patch-notes 04/04/18 Discussion

I feel like some basic fixes first. Yeah, the 'look up'- thing is great, but plenty of players still get that error 503 - servers don't respond message popping up while 1) collecting money, 2) completing daily missions, 3) fighting bosses and 4) completing the story.

Not to mention the thousands of players that didn't get that legendary girl (I myself haven't been able to gather a girl in weeks. since mary (the pirate) got to all players, there's emptiness. Donatien is lvl 90 now and still has all three girls, i wasn't able to collect a single girl during the spring break revival thing and that legendary girl also didn't drop). 
And while this is personal complaining, I think it would be greatly welcomed by everyone playing if the dropping-girls system would 1) be transparent, because right now we're all arguing on how it works and 2) would be changed into something not luck based.

Me too. I only hope that I don't get directed to a homonym with 1000 mojo and no girls in the battling team.

A little bit off topic, but I found Donatien and Ninja Spy to have the worst drop rates.

I don't know about the bosses having different drop rates. Also, barely makes sense. Still, I give you that. 

However, Ninja spy dropped them quite quickly. I assume you could call it luck, but transparency would be nice so one would know that without getting frustrated

More options in tower of fame huh?  That's nothing but ranking system for various stats.  I'd rather see a fix to actualy PvP's battle mechanics since devs are so keen to keep working on and promoting PvP.  It's the cart before the horse issue.  You can make all these pretty changes to PvP, but without fixing the mechanics at the heart of the matter, it doesn't change anything.

 

That being said I know there's talk of them replacing the RNG crit system with special luck skills for each class.  I don't even know how this sounds good on paper because it STILL will come down to which player was luckier to hit their specialist activation skills in the fight.  Luck is a part of any battle system, but usually not 25 Percent of the fight.  And if you remover the luck factor then it's a matter of raw stats.  I'd still say push for giving the girls powers they can activate either by luck (a better use for it and not uncommon in these sorts of games) or they activate at a cost that starts at max of the fight and the points are spent wisely to figure out the best skills to activate, or in reverse, you build points up in the fight, and activate them when you have enough.  And yes I know this has nothing to do with the current patch, but I feel it's good food for thought for future pvp patches.

to me, this is not about the legendary girl. This is about transparency for the drop rates and fundamental changes to basics of this game, that obviously need improvement, rather than small fixes every now and then. My strongest point was the transparency and the frequent server errors everyone is getting.

Create a feedback thread about it, and explain your point of view.
This is a thread purely made for feedback about the upcoming patch.

I welcome the battle timer notification on the Town page. It will help me quickly know if I need to go there or not. Thank you for this. I am just starting to understand the arena and 3 battles to test out different theories is not enough so I think the timer feature will be a welcome addition. When I was starting out I focused on getting the Harem girls. I completely missed the whole battle and arena part of the game. I do not understand how it was broken because I valued my combatively points for battling the bosses to get an event girl. I never played it in the arena until it became free.  I actually really like it. I would be willing to spend energy to refresh the battle arena. I know it would be a trade off versus progressing in the adventure, but I think I already pushed it too fast. Right now I am in Admittance of the Dead at only level 96. I feel like I should have paid more attention to my stats and Harem while I was just starting out. 

As for the Haremette's XP changes I welcome them. It is better curve and will be more palatable as I level up. There is a long way to go and I realize there is some anger that this change was omitted. In my case I looked at my haremettes and recalculated the curve and then said "that's better" and moved on.

As for the Tower of Fame, I am not one to care where I am ranked. I think I only ever looked up Brassygirl and Chthugha because they are all over the forums. I think one time I was able to fight someone through the tower of fame, but I could have been dreaming

You might have been able to fight through the Tower of Fame alright.
They removed that option a couple of weeks ago.

Harem

  • Last week was released a small change that was not displayed in the patch notes :
    • The base needed to level up a girl changed from 5 to 10 and the level multiplier changed from 1.009900826 to 1.0075, creating smoother curves while not requesting more experience overall

I find it interesting how carefully this was worded.

A "small" change.  They patched this in early with no notice to the players and have never owned that mistake.  It wasn't small, it decreased the value significantly of books that people had been hoarding.

"Not requesting more experience overall" is only telling half the story.  It's true that the number of points to level a girl from 1-400 is not higher, it's actually lower.  However, the points to level a girl from 1-294 is significantly higher.  And considering no player in the world is yet level 294, the required experience for every single girl for every single player in the world is now higher.

I'm not complaining about the change.  Make the change, no problem.  But patching it with no notice eliminated the players' opportunities to use their books before their value was cut in half.  The early patch with no notice was a mistake, and the carefully worded patch notes this week sweep it under the rug.

Since the Tower of Fame tracks certain statistics, could there be a dedicated page to just statistics?

I'm a numbers and statistics kind of person, and I don't really enjoy going through every category on the Tower of Fame just to look at my own numbers.

You could slap another page on our profiles for it and let everyone see it. Or even put it in that blank space under Battle Team on the right side.

 

It's not a horribly unrealistic idea is it? I'm not asking for any super unreasonable...

Anyways, a reply from JessieChan or any other someone who could make the dream come true would be appreciated, even if it's just to reject me.

You can currently search the tower of fame for player name or tower of fame rank so if you were ranked number 1. Other players would get your name when they type a 1 in.

It seems that might be changing to the player ID number which is the number on your player profile.

Tower of Fame

  • You will now be able to look for ID instead of the rank of the player 

It will not let me edit out the second screenshot.

i make a simple question, if are simple old rate algorithm or the last "adjusted" algorithm some the last event, and that question if for the actual path probability calculation algorithm. Is the rigth place for that type of question, or have to make a thread for questions of the actual path ???? 

If i make that question is because in pach notes don't have any mencion of turn on the normal events drop rate O.o

This is true.

You gave us XP and AFX with pvp battles, but at the same time you increase XP significantly for all leveling girls( to the level of about 300). this is forcing us to play pvp girls that we do not want to play to achieve the same effect as before the change. On the one hand the change is good because we see different compositions, but on the other hand it is felt that it is not worth playing other girls.

EDIT: I know why it was done! because at low level of the player even 1 XP for arena battle is a very big experience for girls. but the scaling should be much larger

On lvl 100 we get only 2 xp and 2 afx for winning. Playing different girls should be worth something, not just symbolic 1-2 XP, AFX

I do not know scaling with level, and what is max AFX and XP for winning. but 2XP and 2 FX? I need 35,000 AFX for level 5 star girl, I have to win 17,500 battles. counting from being 6 * 24 = 144 battles a day, I have to play all the time and win all battles of 121.5 days for 1 girl 5 stars.  Do not you think that this is a bit too small AFX win gain per level?  you need to increase the level of AFX victory significantly at least 3-4 times.

But I'm really happy with XP and AFX for winning PVP. It's a really good change, but I expected a lot more AFX.

You could also add XP and AFX for winning with bosses.  Thanks to this we could much weaker girls leveling on bosses, and better composition of girls on PVP.

Tower of fame. it's a nice change.I have a question. will there be any prize for the available categories after some time? also let us feel that we are fighting for something, that it is worth it.
Timer arenas in the city is also a very nice change,  improves the quality of playing.

I fought the Dark lord over and over even after maxing out, and still refused to drop the epic girl, but what I find ridiculous is you battle and earn 90% of the time less than 6 points, but when you lose a battle it cost you more than 20 points, how the hell can you expect to advance in the tower, how is this even considered balanced or fair.

If it were only thay simple. In this game you can lose to someone in the same specialty with 16k less ego and 3k less (harcore in my case) than you. That's rediculous and entirely random. The only sure way of not losing is not playing. Ever. Such fun.

 

Anyways, I see Shidou is now really just a player and Cthuglia a mod. Congrats.

At this point after being at 200 world rank winning 1~2 mojo points/fight and sometimes losing 30+ when defeated (most of the time to player with worse battle stats because they crits proc 3 times while mine not once), I stop being careful and fight 1 or 2 times every 6 opponents.

 

I think it's currently not worth, bcuz u give up of +xp +afxp and rewards to be good ranked at tower of fame as this doesn't reward u.
