I think 1 gift regardless of effort is also a bit poor. I understand they don't want people that have the girl to go crazy and such, but gifts are very welcome with a massive influx of girls with legendary or more status and the shop even at lvl 454 still only giving me yellow gifts sometimes. So this seemed like a smart new way to earn more gifts. Except it isn't. Not really. Maybe give one of those gifts for the first like, i don't know, 5 times you help and then cap it so it's not rewarding you to go wild and take the chance to gain more participation away from people still playing for the girl?

Not really indeed. Lovely Cori as mission girl annoyed me a bit. But for Notka, now I can just focus on the others I did not have yet. 😁

Had 67 orbs. Took 41 to get Dark Leedit. Yay! Then continued and didn't get Cori. *sad face* But then I checked seasons and saw I has 6 more single mythic orbs to claim. I claimed then at at the third one I got Cori! *happy face* Already had Deitra. So this one is done again.

I'm not entirely sure we're all lovely people. There are always girls you can't get. Patreon ones for example. It's also not impossible like Jelom said that the girls will later become available through other means. And you can of course join a club and just pretend everyone there is a bot/AI and you're just there to get the girls, ignore the chat and that's that. Totally understand you're not playing this game to make new friends. I think, just because some people don't want to be in a club, everyone else shouldn't be allowed to win girls by it.

Yes, communication is key. People who get the girl quick should after just contribute enough to make the list of participating players as high as possible, without being the major contributer so you leave the others a chance to grab more shards. We have an active chat with good cooperative members and that helps a lot to arrange this.

Because the score to win was pretty low and he (and me as well) would have been able to beat that. So he's a bit sad not to be in that league I think. 😆 Casey normally is too strong for me, so maybe he did something the last fifteen minutes. That score is too low for him.

The good news is, I'm seventh(!) highest level. That must be a record. The bad news is, I'm with this guy: It's hard to see how strong the others are with no real stats, like Shal said, very annoying. Another second place?

Guys guys! Guess who finished second again! Yes, me. Anyway, wasn't a huge surprise of course with that guy. Did a decent 22,5 av and beat higher lvl players. Aquilon was also CH. Mercares is KH.

One thing that could have prepared you for this were the actual Champions we already had. There you also don't 'get' the girl the first attempt. There are no shards there though, so that's new indeed. I agree the patch notes aren't very helpful. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a tutorial tomorrow we don't need anymore because we figured it out already (PoP anyone?), but it's not like you claimed in your OP either. You don't compete against teammates and you don't waste your efforts in the long run if you keep playing. I got 1 shard the first time. 1. And I am the club leader and spent quite a lot playing. Didn't make the post you made though, I read some other players experiences here and tried to find out what was going on. Then this morning I had 3 shards for 1 fight only. And just now 23 shards. But remember: It's still HH. We will always have to live with the fact this is at its core a RNG game. There is luck required everywhere, even in the league. (With CH recently that got 'worse'.) If you never want to try again, fine by me. Let's see what your club members think of you. Ranting here won't help though.

It's kinda annoying though that a feature that's supposed to be a team effort doesn't reward players the same. You can end up with very little amount of shards even if you help a lot because it's 1-x.

It took a long time for GB. So long, that I don't need her anymore as she was caught in mythic pachinko earlier. 😬 But good, trying to get both girls would be crazy and or expensive. So now I don't have to choose. Vespa looks nice in the banner. I share Blaa's hope for Bremen or later. Going to T3 on those is such a pain in the arse without a girl on them.
