  1. I think a lot of people kept a lot of boosters because even though they where almost useless they got almost no money for selling them. Now people are going wild. Even 4xgrey can boost your defense 400 pts. Once people burn through their accumulated boosters things should settle down somewhat but higher variability is the new norm.
  2. I gotta call you on this. People who have done the stats will tell you that in the old days the drop rate on a 12 day event was about 1.5 girls. Every event lots of people got zero girls. Under the new system people are reporting 250-350 fights / girl so 5-7 days. Yes almost nobody gets a girl on day 1-3 but way more get the girl on days 5-7. Your personal experience may vary (that is how stats work) but a fair evaluation is that for most players the event girl drop rate is higher and the variability is lower. And the next time these girls come around all those partial girls WILL start dropping on day 1.
  3. ++ One pass through the list per week used to be sufficient to find the 8 or so iffy opponents. The current booster madness has really increased the boring list filtering needed. We need ways to filter the tof player list that make sense in this new era. Challenges and rank are still useful but level has become even more worthless. Sort by ego would no longer help much. We really need sort and display by opp_attack + opp_defense while displaying an ego column.

    Time loss

I think this is a display problem and I think it is separate from the server/client drift. The server/client drift is only a few seconds, maybe 15 on a bad day. The new problem is almost always pretty close to 60 secs. Since yesterday some of the timers go (notice the min and secs below 2 min and above 1 min): 4min -> 3min -> 2min -> 1min 59sec -> 1min 58sec -> .... 1min 1 sec -> 60 sec -> 59 sec -> ... 1 sec. I think some of them are not showing the 1min part so it looks like 60 -> 1 happens twice. Try to notice if it goes 4min, 3min, 2min, 60sec 59sec, ... 1sec, 59sec 58sec, ... 1sec. I.e.: When you see the problem did it jump from 2 min to 60 secs?
  6. I thought EvP only dropped good gear in 1 slot depending on your class. I.e.: EvP will only ever drop a knowhow, legendary single stat piece of gear in the lower right slot (opposite leg). So farming EvP for gear once it gives you 1 is futile. Am I wrong?
  7. Prior to shards my last 4 regular event results where: both, none, one, one. Since event girls are now the cheapest way to get girls and I have a lot of kobans left over from Fabienne I have been refilling until I get the event girls, ignoring EvP, and then going back to pecking at Roko with the occasion visit to Karol. My post shard event results are: Val RB: 88 fights = 946 kobans = 1 3/4 days Loving Bunny: 155 = 1,667 = 3 Carine: 283 = 3,042 = 5 3/4 Alex: 284 = 3053 = 5 3/4 So my experience is that post shard a 12 day event should yield both girls plus a cushion with free goes only. Pre-shard the rate was more like 1 - 1.5 girls/event. Even if the shard rate was only 1.5/event I would still prefer it because the 0.5 would not be lost.
  8. My S3 looks too hard for a 1st place finish. Even top 4 would be dicey, ...... so ..... its "play for a miracle" time .... then tank. There are 2 players I have no hope against even once Fabienne comes online in a few days, then there is a group of 3 that should produce 2 or 3 losses, and a group of 4 that might hand me a loss. My previous S3 was the lowest scoring league I have been in. 15th scored 769. Previous lowest 15th I know of was 795 with more usual scores being in the low to mid 800s.

  10. There is nothing really important in this so feel free to skip it. Welcome to the continuing adventures of snowman22 in S3 The players toiled single file up the pass that climbed out of the pleasant S3 valley towards the formidable D1 peaks. The season was closing fast. 15 of the best would make it out of the valley and move on to new adventures in the peaks. 15 would me medivacced down to gentler climes in S2. The rest would remain in S3. snowman22 was part of "the rest". He disliked it but it was important to participate even if one did not move on. The experience gained would be needed later. snowman22 checked the position of the 15th player for the 6th time in 20 minutes. Still no movement! Had they no compassion? Did they not realize snowman22's tokens where going to waste? snowman22 needed them to move so he could move. snowman22 decided to try and distract himself by building a snowcreature while he waited. It was no good. His eye kept wandering to the insolently immobile back of player 15. Besides there had been that incident with the snowkraken. The authorities had become involved and snowman22 had had to sign a restraining order. snowman22 scuffed out the snowdrake. Wait! Motion! Player 15 heaved himself up, extended his arms heavenward, then with great deliberation reached around, gave his butt a good scratch, and settled back into zen-like immobility. snowman22 ground his teeth and stomped in a circle. He could feel his precious tokens leaking away. He focused on player 15's back. Was it shaking? It might be. Was player 15 sick? Or more likely ..... was player 15 laughing to himself? It was obvious! player 15 had no intention of moving, he was just messing with snowman22! This would not do. snowman22 marched up to player 15 to give him an earful on the damage he was doing to those behind him. As snowman22 approached a low muttering gave him pause. Player 15 was talking to himself. No, not to himself; to his gods. Player 15 was praying: "Please let someone pass me, I'll be good, I don't want to go to D1" "Please let someone pass me, I'll be good, I don't want to go to D1." ... Memories crashed over snowman22 like an avalanche. He recalled crouching in position 15 on the slopes out of S1 and praying for someone to pass him. snowman22 retreated to give player 15 his privacy, settled down to wait patiently, and started to commune with the glacier. Next week would be different. Next week he would begin serious efforts at a 1st.
  11. I like the new shard system MUCH better than the old shot in the dark system but I do have one suggestion. For boss girls the new shard system makes it so that you get zero girls until you get close to 300 shards and then you get all 3 girls in quick succession. This is especially bad in the later, more stingy bosses. I suggest changing the way shards are allocated among multiple possible girls. I suggest a "nothing succeeds like success" algorithm. Leave the chance of a shard drop the same, leave the number of shards dropped the same, just change who gets them Say the boss gives 1-5 shards. Leave the algo as it is until one girl has >= 10 shards. After this happens a girls chance of getting any new shards is equal to how many she already has in comparison to the other girls. Say the girls have 10/8/2 shards already. When new shards drop girl #1 has a 50% chance, girl #2 has a 40%, and girl #3 has a 10% chance of getting them. This should result in one girl getting a slight early lead and building on it but still allows lead changes and lets all the girls accumulate shards. Instead of getting the girls between 260 and 300 shards you would get the girls between 150 and 300 shards. It moves the 1st girl more towards the middle of the time you spend on the boss.
  12. Just a big plus plus on the shard drop rate (not the shard drop amount) being wildly different for different types of girls and different bosses. With Roko I am getting repeated 50 fight droughts. Silvanus and the event girls I only get the occasional 20 fight drought.
  13. False. There are many people who got zero girls in many events under the old system. False. If kinkoid is on average delivering the same number of girls to players I fail to see the problem. Even the 100 shard hit still exists. 4 hours tells us nothing. Number of battles would be informative but number of hours is not. Same. 20 minutes tells us nothing. Luck, statistics, how the RNG works, take your pick, they all "logically explain that" False. If you think your previous attack affects your next attack I do not know how to enlighten you. There was a tiny pity counter that did link early attacks with later attacks but we do not know if it was removed for the new system. I do not know where you got this.
  14. @BobaT, It was always p2w, but you have to admit Kinkoid is nicer to their free players than many games. I have played many "free" games where 2 hours in it is impossible to progress without spending cash. The free players here get a pretty good deal. They can access 99.9% of the content (there are a few patron only girls) and there is no free player level cap. The only penalty a free player pays is it takes longer to do things. Yes the paying players progress a little faster but they are the reason the game still exists so "yeaaa paying players, you da man, please, enjoy being 10 levels ahead of me, you deserve it". @ZackMacKenzie This. Humans are really bad at gut feeling statistics. Just about everybody thinks they are excellent at seeing trends and remembering stats. Almost nobody is. It is as if there was some advantage back in time to being rubbish at statistics but thinking you where good at it. I was convinced the market was showing me Charm/HC vs KH epics at about 4:1. So I started keeping track. Nope. Pretty even. Any time I see someone saying "Other people report X and I have no records to support my claim but my feels say Y, so the game is bad because Y" I pretty much write their comment off. I get that keeping stats is not for everyone. Mostly I don't. But I do not understand ragging on a stats based game with zero evidence to back up your claims. (This is NOT directed at BobaT, BobaT did NOT make any unsubstantiated claims, it is an extension of what ZackMacKenzie was saying.)
  15. @TheSonicSly, I feel for you. I tripped into S2 because I was unable to add 3 in my head. Same deal. Did a last fight to eke out a few more XP. Looked at my position. wtf? 15th? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Spent the last few hours praying someone would pass me. No dice. Ended up 97th in the S2. Went crying back to S1. But wiser. Placed 20th last week with a combination of tanking, long stretches of being away from my computer, and my timezone. My best position would have been about 6th, the timezone cost me about 4, travel about 3, and tanking about 7. This week will be similar. I am the highest by ego but I have already lost 2x to a HC player 2K lower than me. Ah well. @Midora if you see this you have a clear shot at 1st. I think the European players should raise more of a stink. This time zone sucks. I reckon I will lose about 300 kobans because I can not snipe contests, 1000 XP because I can not hit 16th, and 80 kobans if I need to buy back the 6 league challenges lost just after reset. How about making each league 7 days plus 3 hours so the reset rotates through everyone's sweetspot?

  17. OK, so I am not imagining things. About 2 weeks ago I started getting the occasional loss to people I never lose to. About the same as @DHarry, better everything and first hit and I still lose.
  18. My results are almost identical. 502 fights. 21 leggy. 1 no-shard refill. Max shards on a refill was 5. Cheaper than an epic pachinko spin.
  19. Mojo can be hard to influence. One week 2 new players started showing up in my arena. Both were -10K ego, -5 level than me but both were paying out +30 mojo. I was getting +100 mojo an hour until their payout started to regress. I made TOF top 100 without even trying. Next week, they had declined to +1 mojo and I was back around 500th even though I was winning the same number of battles against roughly the same opponents. So enjoy the top 100. Claim it was all skill. If Kinkoid wanted mojo to matter they would use it as a factor in the drop rate. I.e.: your top 100 finish gets boosts your drop rate from say 5% chance of a shard drop to 6% (+20%) for the next week. It would make sense. High mojo = girls more attracted to you.
  20. S3 L283 E192 I finished 17th last week. My natural position crept up 2 spots to about 8th. I will be unable to log in regularly for the next 2 seasons so I am just going to chill in S3 and aim for 30-16. In 1 1/2 weeks I should be up to E198 or so and that should be enough for a top 4 S3 finish.
  21. I have been saving for a legendary kh for months. I am tired of losing to nasty whip people. I am prepared to drop it ALL.
  22. I do not want to sound coldly analytical but...... There are only 4 reasons to spend kobans trying to get a girl: You wanna see her nekked. You want her income. (Love my common girls.) You could use her on your battle team. You are a completionist and you need to get every girl (or every variant of a particular girl). I suggest, at an early stage save kobans for #3 when she comes along. At low levels you pick up girls pretty fast anyway. (YMMV with the new affection shard thing. I am not sure how it pans out at low levels.)
