  1. I agree with everything said above and would like to add that there are some serious xp distortions as well. My current situation is I am 2nd in S1 and would be about 15th last in the S2 I just got demoted out of. My visit to S2 cost me about 1.2 levels in addition to the missed kobans. So my choice is: S1, drop to 16th, 114 kobans, 90% of total available xp S2, max effort, 0 kobans, 30% of total available xp While I think adjusting the koban rewards is a good idea it is even more important to address the xp penalty. Right now I think I get about 150/200 xp for a win vs a level 200/300. Maybe 50/400 would be a better idea? A level 246 (like me) dogging it in S1 should get far fewer points for squashing a level 200 and far more xp for scoring a win against a level 300. This way a low level player in a high league would earn more xp from the few wins they did get and high level players loafing in a low league would pay with lower xp totals. Maybe you should just get more xp for a win in a higher league? Maybe 150/200 in S1 becomes 200/250 in S2 against the same level opponent?
  2. Got Shadow Astis a few hours ago. Same dropping shadow. I am with Zorba. I like it. I hope they do not change it.
  3. I am enjoying the Leagues a lot more than I thought I would when the devs described them. PvP prior to leagues was boring: Arena match making was (and is) terrible. The same 7 or 8 opponents for weeks on end. Winning or losing a battle had little effect. The difference between an optimal strategy and a half-assed strategy was frankly minimal. And TOF just was not worth it. 1 week of excellence in PvP (say 20th vs 900th place). Woohoo! +400K hymen and +200xp! Be still my beating heart. The Leagues are more interesting: Losing a battle costs about 160 xp net. More diverse opponents. Sometimes not fighting is the correct choice. You can choose when to fight a particular opponent. The occasional thrill of beating someone 60 levels higher than you. Winning a battle can bump you into the 15+ bracket when you are not strong enough. My last season is a case in point. One stupid choice put me in S2 and cost me over 1 level worth of xp. All in all I think the Leagues while not perfect are a vast improvement over the Arena and the TOF.
  4. Just to offset some of these "I got all six girls on the same spin" stories. 52nd free battle got Adelaide. Yeah! Next 159 free battles = nada. Discount nudges me into doing some refills. 183rd battle got Gossy. Next 217 battles = nada. My last 3 free goes = nada. With the discount I spent 3006 kobans. Still cheaper then EPx10. I am calling it quits here. I am okay with this result. Got 1 very good girl.
  5. I agree with Observer_x's suggestions. See and sort by ego. Yeah! Replace n/3 with something with more info in the same space. Yeah! Maybe replace the level column with your choice of level or ego? I think having player class in the list and being able filter on it would also be helpful. (I.e.: There is a hardcore judge active and I (knowhow) want to avoid hardcore players.)
  6. You know Moe Overload, when you are right you are right. I did not bother checking the divisibility. I suggest Kinkoid make some effort to make players aware of this. We could call the 1st 35 mins the MOZone. "1 challenge during the MOZone then chill." You just made my life more relaxing.
  7. I am an idiot. I (L 241 Ego 151K) got 15th place in the previous S1 league by 1 point with 2 hours to go by making 3 challenges I knew I would lose. I seem to be unable to add 3 to a number. There are some pluses. I am sure I made the previous 15th place person very happy. They did not make any more challenges. Also, in the new S2 league I get to take on bunches of level 300s. With my best team, best gear, and boosted I took one poor sod right to the limit. He only had 110K ego left after I finished with him. Just 5 or 6 more crits and I would have had him. So far I do not even have to think about tanking. There are about 23 people with ego < 160K in this league. I fought everybody I had a decent chance of stealing a win from in the first day. I am saving 3 I might be able to steal a win from if I get lucky with gear this week. Right now I am 105th out of 109 with nothing but losses ahead. The moral of the story is: 15th in S1 == 106th in S2.
  8. Just another data point. I have prioritized GPx10 since the start of Leagues. I would say I have done 60 - 80 spins. The leggy result has been: 60+ junk multi-stat 4 wrong class SS 1 SSL in my class. (If this had been for my single existing recent leggy slot I would have cried.)
  9. I used a 25$ VISA pre-paid card I picked up at the corner store. Worked fine.
  10. I am with Ben9 (no auto-fill on reset) on this one. It also takes away the incentive to hammer the server at reset + 1 sec. Under the current full bar on reset system every second between reset and your 1st completed challenge reduces the max number of free challenges you get in a season. I can never get on until reset + 10 min. Sometimes I am locked out for 30 min. An empty bar at reset means a calmer server. If you did go to "no auto-fill on reset" you would also probably want to: reduce bracket size by 5 (because 15 fewer challenges in a season) increase time to earn a token by 1 min 45 sec (5% so free challenges vs opponents ratio is the same) increase XP awarded for a challenge by 5% (so total XP available in a season is the same) GeorgeMTO's suggestion (no auto-fill on reset + carry over unused tokens) (sorry if I am miss-interpreting) has merit too. Ben9's suggestion keeps the clean division between seasons. Each season is its own thing. May the best team win. GeorgeMTO's suggestion adds a layer of strategy. 10 banked challenges may be inconsequential in season 2 but in season 3 they may get you into a higher payout bracket and allow you to finish ahead of stronger teams. Both suggestions avoid penalizing bad luck time zones. Full disclosure: the current full bar system does not hurt me. I am online then anyway. I just do not like the annoyance of spending 10-30 min trying to get the server to complete a challenge.
  11. Welcome to snowman22's Stupid Math Tricks. Even though he was only level 228 snowman22 was doing fine in Wanker III. There was one small problem. How could he easily tell if an opponent had lost a match? Checking if 234 was a multiple of 3 is a difficult mental task if your head is composed of compressed snow with a few bits of sticks and leaves mixed in. Then snowman22 remembered a math teacher from his youth who knew many arcane math tricks. snowman22 looked the dude up on FB. The last entry was a tale of woe ending with a vow to withdraw from society and retreat to a remote mountain-top in Kyrgyzstan. Two days later snowman22 was toiling his way up a mountain in Kyrgyzstan. He amused himself as he toiled by planning witty opening greetings to get the old dude in a good mood. The wind howled as he clutched his tattered Legendary SS Expert Buff T-shirt closer about him. snowman22 only had 2 Legendary SS items and the T-shirt was 70 levels old and almost out of goodness. snowman22 needed every edge to compete with the level 270s that dominated Wanker III. After much toiling snowman22 reached a small cave near the summit. Seated in the snow in front of the cave was a wizened figure! Before snowman22 could say a word the old math teacher held up a single finger and spoke thus: If you say 'I want to buy a vowel.' I will throw you off this mountain! snowman22 reconsidered his witty greeting. The old math teacher took in snowman22's tattered T-shirt, his newish, shiny legendary lightning bolt and his epic SS items and agreed to help. He spoke thus: Determining if a number is divisible by 2, 5, or 10 is easy. Just look at the rightmost digit. 3 is also easy but you need to look at all the digits. Add 'em up. If the sum of the digits is divisible by 3 so is the number. You can ignore all 0s (of course), 3s, 6s and 9s. I.e.: 225: 2 + 2 + 5 = 9. 9 divisible by 3. 225 is divisible by 3. 251: 2 + 5 + 1 = 8. Not divisible by 3. 591: 5 + 1 = 6. Divisible by 3. (You can ignore the 9). Now, get off my mountain! As he returned home snowman22 kept the old math teacher's wisdom in his heart (which was also composed of packed snow with added detritus, including one suspicious lump of yellow snow that snowman22 did not like to think about). Now how to go about getting purpler. TL;DR: if xyz divisible by 3 so is x+y+z and vice versa.
  12. I voted for option 1 but no biggy. I really like the League length changing to 1 week. I also really like the League end date moving to a day when less is happening. Double plus good. Two really good changes. Thank you. For even more double plus goodness move the League's end time away from the Daily Missions and Contest's end time. Right now I have an unfair advantage in Contests. Because of my time zone I can be online at the close and snipe anybody who can't be online. The same is thing is going to apply to the League (especially if earned but unused tokens carry over). Moving the time would also reduce the load on the server at reset. The 5 hr cap is the devil. I have no problem with the devs making money on the game. I just popped for the monthly card. The extra Kobans it gives are trivial (= 4 girls / year). I did it mostly for the 1 click income collect and to support the devs. I do not mind that the game advantages people giving real money to the devs. However, setting it up so all free players are pushed to damage their sleep verges on morally wrong. Have a heart devs. Make the league cap 10 hours like combativity.
