  1. True, for the current Super Easy Mode we have. Probably (hopefully) not so much once they fix the major bugs and revert the patch that weakens the opponents and we go back to just the Easy Mode instead, along with Medium/Normal and Hard. Also, I was thinking more like 10 coins per skip, not something that would amount to a huge gain at the end of the run. And only once the feature returns to a state in which skipping all relics would make a run very difficult or even nearly impossible to complete for most players, of course. But it could also be just about anything else (that's not garbage: no more Movie Frames, please! ^^). One extra Fist or a bit of XP, or a GPx10 orb or whatever. The important thing is that sometimes I'd legit prefer not to pick any of the three relics offered to me, and it's a classic roguelite option to include. Good to know, thanks! I remember it too (I even think it was in this thread). I didn't say anything at the time, but the answer the player mentioned Support giving didn't make sense to me. And it also seemed to contradict how this perk works in monthly cards in general. The entire point of this perk is to give an incentive for players who forgot to claim rewards to buy a monthly card to get them after the fact. It's even clearly phrased that way in the description in the real-money Shop in game. On top of that, I know the 3-day free trials they give away regularly to select players also work the same way if this happens to coincide with an event expiring. So it seemed really hard to believe that they don't intend the exact same thing to work the same way if we buy it from the Laby Shop for a fair bit of in-game currency instead of getting it for free when they're trying to promote the monthly cards... I'm not saying the player lied, to be clear. I think it's more of a case where Support didn't really have a correct answer to give or enough time to ask before answering the ticket, and/or the issue wasn't understood correctly by devs and Support staff was told to give this bogus answer inadvertently. Some kind of error, in any case. So I'm not too surprised to have confirmation that it now works as expected (or that maybe there's a bug that only affects some players and not others, hopefully the former rather than the latter, though).
  2. Not really. That's where knowing who's who and who's up to what comes in handy (top 4+ contenders are a relatively small circle, after all). I only take mental notes myself and sometimes I forget or I simply don't know about some opponents I'm not familiar with. It would definitely be more efficient and reliable if I still kept written notes on anything and everything as I used to, but that was becoming too much of a chore so I quit doing that awhile ago. So, take it with a pinch of salt, but from memory alone, I'd rank this list as follows, if I were in your shoes: Darkyz is by far the biggest shark in this pond, and the win is his, unquestionably (unless he's taking a chill week for whatever reason, but I think that's very rare). I'm pretty sure both Apjmb and Yoto are fairly competitive and active in the current meta. Solid top 4 contenders, at least. But I haven't lost to either of them in the current era, so I don't think they would be major threats to you either. Loewe66, Jiclou and Turbo are all either a bit on the casual side, or just in chill mode. I've had all three in my leagues multiple times in the current meta and aside from one of them having a very tough defensive team that made me lose some points (Jiclou IIRC), it never felt like they were actively competing for top 4. Crisp doesn't ring a bell from leagues. I'm pretty sure I've fought his weak team in seasons many times, but that doesn't mean anything (except that it's a player strong and active enough to be at high rank in Season, and aware of community trends to show a weak team to help out his fellow players gain points for ME). Could be a new monster in the making, or could be someone playing super chill for all I know. ^^ For you, the good news is you're not in as tough of a group as you thought. Given your recent track record, you should have a really strong shot at a top 4 here. The bad news is that you don't have a realistic shot at #1, unless Darkyz happens to be on vacation or something. I know you have the eye of the tiger and all that, and again just like Joe I respect and encourage that (I did start competing in D3 way earlier than was customary at the time, and I fought tooth and nail with very low odds many times in my formative years too). But in this case, especially if you're short on boosters, I would strongly recommend taking it relatively easy this week. Unless there's another major player you haven't noticed, I foresee something along the lines of Darkyz very close to a perfect score, followed by you, however you end up doing, and then a fairly big gap until the two lucky ones rounding out the top 4 among this list.
  3. Yes, and you're not the only one, although others have data sets that tend to support the drop rate not having changed, and this is being paid attention to and discussed at least sporadically. I've heard it both ways, but I've heard of it, for sure. Just like happened multiple times when the MPx1 girl drop rate changed, among other things. Have you ever had any reason to assume, based on your data, that the drop rate could be different when someone uses the x10 or x50 buttons rather than making their fights x1 manually? Or have you ever heard anyone else also noting down and analyzing their data claim anything of the sort? I sure haven't, until Karx mentioned his belief about it. My point is, we have enough people collecting data and paying attention to drop rates, especially for girls, that something as seemingly evil (even if unintentional) and almost certainly illegal wouldn't have gone unnoticed. Varying drop rates for the same thing based on random and entirely hidden criteria such as doing fights in bulk instead of one by one would be quite noticeable by the community and also cause quite the outrage (rightfully so) if it ever happened, even due to a bug or error.
  4. Do you mean in this OD, in your permanent EP pool, or something else? Is your permanent EP pool cleared? The answer to those questions would change my advice drastically. If you have a cleared EP pool already, then I'd say always keep at least 100 EPx1 orbs per CE (150 to be on the relatively safe side), and also keep both your EPx10 and your Draft orb as safety nets just in case you get a real bad streak with your EPx1s on a particular CE. If that's the case and you have 25 girls available in this OD, then it wouldn't be too risky to use up to around 100 EPx1s on this OD with DD. If you don't have a cleared EP pool yet, then I'd recommend not spending any EP orb on either OD or CE, but outside of both so that you can work towards clearing your permanent EP pool first. PS: In any case, wait until after today's reset before spending any orb, so that you can score in CbC day 1 in the process.
  5. Thanks. So we likely didn't have a formal bug report thread (although the bug was definitely reported by other means). Let's keep this one going, then.
  6. (Had this locked in my Approval Queue; I know it's far too late now, but wanted to empty the queue ^^). Good to know that a post you've made while you had the restriction stays under the restriction even after the restriction has been removed from your account, though.
  7. I'm not ridiculing you, I'm pointing out that you're acting in a superstitious manner, which is just undeniable. (Also, who doesn't love that catchy as hell Stevie Wonder classic anyway? especially live, it just rules! ^^). Sure, there can be bugs and things that don't work as they should, we find some all over the game regularly. But girl shard drop rates have been monitored very carefully by countless very dedicated players, tons of data have been shared, compiled and verified over pretty large samples since forever, and they still are. Not just by math experts in the community (although them too, ofc) but also many of us who simply have an interest for the topic, and a solid understanding of how probabilities and statistics work in general, as well as what average results we can expect to find over time on every single feature in the game that drops girl shards. Your belief that the drop rate for the same thing would somehow be drastically different depending on whether you play fights one by one, in series of 10s or in in series of 50s, is solely based on your own experience, as you've said. Not only is that from samples far too small be statistically relevant, but you've only started posting your results regularly for this type of things after you had already decided you would only use x10s and x50s (that I can recall, at least). So the amount of single fights you've actually done before making this assumption must be even smaller, and most likely not even properly documented. It's just a gut feeling based on your subjective perception of a tiny string of individual results from what can only be correctly observed in a continuum and with large numbers. Think about it for a second, man, humor me, okay? Would you believe a guy claiming that when he tosses 10 or 50 coins at once instead of one by one, it magically made more coins land on heads than tails, instead of what you (should) know to be the actual average for a coin flip, which is exactly 50/50 between heads and tails? Or would you correctly perceive it as a superstitious ritual from that guy, based on irrational mumbo jumbo he believes in despite science having long proven otherwise? If there was ANY truth to your belief that the fixed drop rate can be altered in any way by the number of fights one launches at once, you better believe me that the more tech-savvy and stats-oriented part of the community would have LONG found out about it. They haven't. All of the results monitored by everyone who reports or share them are consistently in the same expected range based on the known and established drop rates regardless of whether people do fights one by one, ten by ten, 13 by 13 or 666 by 666. And remember, the reason we confidently know all the drop rates in the game isn't because Kinkoid announced or revealed them officially: they've been estimated by the community over long periods of times and large amounts of player-reviewed data to begin with. Kinkoid only softly confirmed we were just about right later on. So for your belief to hold any water, it's not Kinkoid's devs, the game's code or your own hardware or software that would need to have been wrong all along... It's the diligently shared results and estimations from hard data by countless independent and group efforts from fellow players over at least 5 or 6 years by now. So I'm sorry, man, but it's not really a YMMV situation. You're actively throwing away tons of perfectly good kobans in x10s and x50s (protip: you should only do x50s if you're going to do either, as they're cheaper than x10s; and that's a fact) solely due to a personal superstition you have about being less lucky when you don't. It's a shame and it's painful for me to see you do this. If you were doing it just because clicking hundreds of times for single fights is too tedious, I'd say fair enough. You're entitled to your opinion and free to have your own beliefs and live by them, of course. But it doesn't mean I have to pretend there is doubt and your belief is as valid as any other. You believe that a computer program works a certain way based on your own subjective and very limited experience, even though hundreds of players have been carefully checking how it actually works for years, and all of their results say it doesn't work the way you believe. And just so you know, you're neither the first nor the last player I encounter with one or more superstition(s) about their own luck in their game of choice (not just Kinkoid games, although I've known dozens in HH alone, but due to my professional field I've reviewed not just the beliefs but also the actual results of thousands of poker players and other casino games, mostly online but IRL a bit too). It's entirely routine for me by now, not just the type of beliefs I see over and over again, but also how players tend to rationalize them in order to convince themselves and sometimes others that they make sense when they don't, or how defensive one can get when it's pointed out to them that they're demonstrably wrong and there's no rational basis for any of it. I've seen them all, from the guy who wears the same old and smelly baseball cap that he never washes ever since he won a tournament wearing it decades ago (no, really, just like in the movies but actually worse IRL), to someone like my former club's former acting leader, my otherwise good pal Troctout who couldn't help himself commenting on how nice or mean this or that villain was being to him every day of an event (as if they were sentient in his mind), and often told us stuff in chat like "I'm going to switch to Karole for today, Rohko doesn't give me any drop", half-jokingly but the fact he mentioned it all the time told me it wasn't really a joke, and that he likely coated it with a tongue-in-cheek tone because he kind of knew how crazy it sounded taken at face value. This is exactly in line with all of that, man. And just like I did for him back the, I'm telling you once, as clearly, rationally and nicely as I can, that you've fallen victim of a costly delusion in this case. If, like the vast majority of superstitious players, you can't or won't accept that you are, or follow the voice of reason to get out of it, that's fine by me. I'll just ignore you when you're talking nonsense as I did with my former clubmate (and others). In my profession I had to give customers the cold hard truth, whether they like it or not, and even if it made them mad, it was part of my job. Here, I don't have to do that with fellow forum regulars or clubmates. Plus, unlike plenty of others with a similar issue, this is the very first time you've even mentioned it, and only because Omer explicitly asked you to. So it's not like you're spreading it or annoying anyone on the forum with it either (in other words, I don't have any grounds to give you any trouble for this even as a moderator). It's just, you know... I like you, and I would like you not to throw kobans away for the wrong reasons if I can help it. But on the flip side, I do like you, so I don't want you to feel like I'm making fun of you or bothering you either. You do you, of course. If you told me you only want girls with a flat chest in your harem from now on, because you believe the Earth is flat... Well, I'd tell you I think it's a shame and I'd kindly remind you (or teach you) that the Earth is not flat, and if it yielded no results then I'd just recommend we avoid the subject after that. I'm still your forum pal regardless. <3
  8. I couldn't find it with a quick search either, but we've definitely already discussed (and reported) this bug a few months back when it first showed up. We might not have had a dedicated thread in Bug Reporting about it, though, I can't remember for sure. I'll leave this one open since the bug is still ongoing and we don't have an older one (if someone finds one, please give me the link, I'll merge the two). There's a similar thing in Seasons too, sometimes you only get two opponents instead of three, with one duplicated. The one in League is visual only and shouldn't impact anyone negatively. The particular case you've shown in your screenshot is the most typical form: the player ranked #1 is the one getting cloned to make a fake #100 appear, but you can still only fight that player once regardless.
  9. The art is pretty nice, even though the affection scenes are still on the awkward side of the post cut-backs era (definitely more "cheap side quest" stuff than "V2 quest"). I quite like the post-reveal design of Mienai with her cute pink hair and eyes. Showcasing her Invisible Woman abilities in some of the poses is a nice touch. However, for the sake of all that is holy and good, why did it have to be by hiding her feet?!
  10. Ah, my bad then. I've read too much (or not enough ^^) into @mdnoria's post about the bug with girl images hiding the diamonds to select different tiers in the OD thread. I automatically assumed this was crucial because there were different selections for each tier. Looks like a missed opportunity to me. Overall, I have to agree with your sentiment, then. At least for now. I'm still hopeful they'll tweak this into something that gives more choices rather than more randomness.
  11. I'm guessing he has a monthly card? At least that's what I've always assumed due to his seemingly always using x10s and x50s even outside of MDR (which is the only event type that really requires it most of the time).
  12. This is super encouraging, and not at all what I expected. Thanks a lot, folks! <3 I'm missing Moe Bunny and I haven't used any Kiss or Fist from the (free) Season reward track (I'm saving them for PoA and/or KC, in case the girl isn't one I get automatically from my legacy HCL collection). That's one of the reasons I wanted to triple check before investing 15k in LR, because by default most of that amount was meant for Moe B's special MDR. I have a bit over 17k kobans total right now, so I'll be really short-stacked after spending the 15.6k. And unlike the koban cards from the other ME formats, there isn't a ton of Fists in the LR koban pass to help me with MDR. Having said that, we're barely in the middle of the month, and without spoiling my next LAA report (or more importantly, without jinxing myself), I basically expect to win my current league at this point (I have a big lead, no major player against me, and the few top 4 contenders in my group have all already lost a lot more points than me). Thankfully it's a BB month rather than a DP one, and I'm all caught up on regular MDRs, so Moe Bunny is the only big koban sink I have left for this month. So if I get even a top 4 in the remaining two leagues after that, I should have enough. I have 250-ish tickets right now and I need to start saving most of them for PoA. Then again, everything I use during PoA will also count for the final two contests of LR. So all in all, it seems that this is actually well worth it in my situation, contrary to what I expected. Thanks again! <3
  13. And up to 6 in total, but only 2 per tier for those who have tiers. We're still missing the "a girl on multiple villains" part of the equation, at this point (I think? I don't have any girl available in OD to check directly). Maybe that will make this patch an improvement overall. I get that it's missing the mark in its current state, and I sympathize with those with multiple girls to grab. But the intention is good, at least, even if the execution is not there quite yet.
  14. I'm impressed and kind of fascinated by all this Sci-Fi technology and how much you guys manage to get out of it. Appreciate the dedication as always!
  15. Grabbed her in the first couple of days (I'm all caught up with LDRs). Gotta say while I like the design and idea, I'm not a big fan of the pose art (it's okay, but not very inspired or particularly well made), and even more so the story and affection scenes (way too barebones and lacking in the sort of interesting things I was hoping for from a female version of Visor). Oh well, gotta catch 'em all anyway.
  16. Seriously, I think it's time for me to accept that Ravi has most likely quit cold turkey and isn't likely to come back anytime soon at this point. I'll lock and unpin this thread as it's no longer relevant and indeed stuck in the past (unless Ravi comes back someday). But your post praising his work was a nice note to end on. Thanks.
  17. Congrats. If you only started not even 5 months ago, you've grown your account quite fast! Especially if you're still strictly F2P as you mentioned in another thread. I've approved your post but I've moved it from Chit Chat to the dedicated Pantheon Wall thread, by the way. There's a lot for you to read about what you can expect for higher levels, as you can see. ^^ Cheers.
  18. +1 The new system for those who still have plenty of girls to get from OD seems mostly positive at its core, although it might be a tidbit confusing for some. Bug(s) notwithstanding, of course. It started on a Sunday so Kinkoid staff aren't there to see it, but the one @mdnoria spotted (along with a nice script/code/console workaround) seems obvious enough that Sandman should be on it as soon as he shows up for work tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
  19. I wish it were, but no it's been like this from the beginning. I've mentioned it and complained about it a few times: it's annoying to have spoilers of the ending by default before you even can see the movie. The one that swaps your team leader with another girl? Weird, I thought they had fixed it. Guess it's another good reason not to go with a GS5-centric team and just your top 7 Blue girls, then. ^^
  20. Yeah, it would become a pretty decent deal if it allowed me to reach the 4th girl. Although there's still the matter of coughing up 15.6k kobans, which is almost 10k more kobans to spend compared to any other ME format (both koban cards amount to a bit under 6k). I haven't done the maths (to nobody's surprise ^^) and I'd be interested in some predictions or estimations from those who are good at it, but I'd be very surprised if even with the 15k koban pass and very tight play I had a shot at reaching anywhere near the 21,600 cubes to unlock the last girl... I'm at a bit under 8k cubes right now, without the koban pass, and there are 6 contests left in this event (along with 20 days worth of season, champion and villain fights, and chests from daily goals, but that doesn't amount to all that much). In fact, my very rough guesstimate slash gut feeling tells me the extra 3k cubes from the 15k koban paths would probably be needed to even guarantee reaching the third girl, at 13,200 cubes. But I might be too conservative.
  21. That, and honestly buffing girl harmony (or even crit chance directly) seems so futile given the duration of a run, the RNG nature of crits, and how much better and more reliable sheer damage buffs are... Basically the entire groups of Harmony, Crit Chance and Crit Damage relics are at the bottom of the ones that actually do something, alongside the "Below 50% HP" ones. They're not actively detrimental, but they're unlikely to have any significant impact. So when it's a choice between say, buffing the corpse of a former team member, buffing a color I don't even have in my squad, or "+16% Harmony to the mid line", I'll pick the latter, because it's better than nothing. But if we had a an option to Skip and not pick any of the relics offered (and get extra coins instead, for instance), as is fairly common in a lot of roguelites, I'd almost certainly rather pick that instead of a relic that hardly does anything useful.
  22. Done and I'm sorry to report that's a big fat nope, folks. This seems to be completely random. I've excluded 4 colors from my selection of 70 girls for this run: Red, Orange, Yellow and Purple: And yet... Well, at least I was only offered Yellow once. ^^ Purple was all the rage today. But yeah, this should prove beyond reasonable doubt that the selection of Color Relics is completely random, and has nothing to do with what colors you're using or even what colors you have available in your entire Squad of 70.
  23. Yeah, first one for me (I had managed to stay in the top 250 until now). I was still at rank 220-ish this morning, but when I opened the game after reset this afternoon, I collected only 24 fists, so I've been passed over by 30+ players in the meantime. Again, if the mega pass was worth its 15.6k koban cost, then when I collect it and when I decide to use the extra cubes from it to rank higher in the contest part of the event would make a big difference. The issue is that it's still not worth that much (unless I could somehow reach the 4th girl at 21,600 cubes, but that's still completely out of reach regardless).
  24. Just when I thought your automatic translator was fixed. ^^ This topic has been covered at length in various threads over time. It's probably included in one of the sticky guides or FAQs in this subforum, even. From a gameplay perspective, upgrading a girl (giving her stars, not levels) only affects the girl herself, in two ways: It improves her stats. That's only relevant for girls you might use in battle. It increases the amount of Ymens (cash) you can collect from her in your Harem. That's it. Only 5-star and 6-star girls matter (most of the time) for battle purposes, so they should be the priority when using your affection items. Of course, in terms of personal enjoyment, it's still nice to unlock any girl's pose pics and affection scenes. But upgrading a 3-star or a 1-star girl doesn't give you anything else. --- It's a different story for levels (and that topic is covered in a few guides and various threads here too). Any girl (slightly) increases your HP ("Ego") in battle when you level her up. So even a 1-star girl is a bit better for you at level 250 than at level 1 (or even up to 750, in theory). But since leveling a girl beyond 250 requires gems, you shouldn't do that for girls you will never use in battle. Except for the process of unlocking all the levels: for that, you need to bring 100 girls to level 700. The number of stars they have don't change the costs, but their rarity does. So it's highly recommended to use as many Starting and Common girls as possible for this, because they are very cheap to level up. Of course, you should prioritize 5-star girls of that group as well, but there aren't enough of them so you'll also need to level up 3-star and even some 1-star girls too. And then your M6s and L5s, of course.
