  1. Anyone managed to figure out the average "Gotta Catch 'Em All" koban cost of a month of gameplay now? 5600x5 = 28000 for the two new Epic Pachinko and three Pachinko-exclusive Classic Event girls.. yes, you can get free pachinko spins, but those were recently nerfed pretty heavily.. you can maybe get two of the girls via free orbs in a month, on average, the rest you have to pay for. We'll cut it down to 5600x3 = 16800. 7200 for Path of Attraction 7200 for the two Path of Valor girls We'll say a conservative 12000 for the Mythic girl, 15000-1800 without using Sandalwood, 10000-12000 otherwise (though the Sandalwood alone costs 2500 more kobans). Picking up the Kinky Cumpetition girls requires spending to get more than ~40 shards before the end of the event.. not really sure how much though. Most efficient way would seem to be buying kisses for the Seasons fights, where a shard has around a 50% win chance, so it is necessary to buy enough kisses for 120 fights to get 60 shards.. Free kisses are somewhat easy to get, so we'll cut that in half.. again just spitballing. 60 kisses is about 1200 kobans, two times a month. The orgy event.. Let's assume I've been burning through my trust fund to keep up with this and I've never missed a girl in the past (neither of those things are true, this is a rhetorical argument). Usually there is still a new girl or two in each orgy event as well, which iirc drop into the epic pachinko.. so hey maybe tack on another 5600 or so per month for that. Legendary days? Gonna be buying combativity for this one. Usually a couple thousand kobans worth. I'll guesstimate it at 2000 as a napkin figure, though it's basically always more. There are going to be some other convenience reasons to spend, but if I'm willing to spend more time and more clicks, I can avoid them. I'm talking about just getting the girls and nothing else. So.. we're looking at 16800+7200+7200+12000+2400+5600+2000 = 53,200. ... Well, some of that is easy. Daily mission completion will net me about 6000 kobans a month. Free half of the Seasons gets me 840 (though this varies month to month). Places of Power got nerfed pretty badly, but hey, maybe I get lucky and pull 1000 kobans from there over a month's time. I'm solid in the leagues and finishing top 10 in D3 every week. It'll cost some kobans for the boosers to maintain that, but I'm pulling down around 10000 more kobans per month. There are small amounts available in the daily calendar thing for the login bonus.. pretty negligible though. I may be missing something.. can't think of anything else offhand. That's around 18000 kobans a month available to free players. Anything more than that, you're going to have to pay. So, what's the best way to do this.. Monthly Platinum Card gets you another 10000. Season Pass gets you another 1270. In Canadian dollars that's going to ring you up $50/mo. But we're still 20,000 kobans short of getting all the girls, and buying those is going to cost me another $180CAD, bringing my theoretical expenses to $230/mo. In other words, one can attempt to keep up with this game, or you can lease a pretty nice car. Or like, get a personal trainer and a guitar teacher, and take programming classes - get ripped and learn some transferrable skills, for the same price. ... My point here is that unless you are willing to spend a genuinely life-altering amount of money on this game, you're just going to have to pick and choose what events you want to participate in. The devs have doubled down on making things "exclusive" to an absurd extreme. I used to be a paid player at $20/mo, and that was enough to keep me afloat.. Then came nerf after nerf, until I realized how little of a dent that $20 was making, and that despite spending that much I was falling farther and farther behind every week. Unwilling to spend more, I stopped spending entirely. If you're going to make me pick and choose, I may as well just choose one less thing and do something useful with that money. Kinkoid talked themselves out of my support. Now I contribute nothing and only cost them bandwidth, and I'm happier for it. When they get their act together maybe I'll start paying again. Until then, speaking with your wallet is the only thing that will make them change.
  2. Thanks for the advice. I'll make a ticket now.
  3. I was attempting to use a Draft orb with three girls left to get in my Epic Pachinko.. the game just hung with the carrot load icon or whatever.. after several minutes of waiting I refreshed the page and when I went back my orb had been used but I didn't get any of the girls. Any way I can get a refund on that orb?
  4. The problem with them isn't that they cost money, it's that they cost a crazy amount of money. Three free refreshes a day means six mythic XP items and six Mythic Affection items, averaging something like 400 kobans each. That makes buying out the store for the day cost ~5000 kobans even if you don't pay more for refreshes. Buying refreshes is now 25% less efficient due to the slots being taken up by Mythic Items, and if you actually want to buy the Mythic items, you have to spend $50 worth of kobans EVERY DAY. I was content to pay $20-30/month on this game.. that was sufficient to make sure I could get all the girls and I was making good progress on levelling them up.. now that amount of money doesn't come close and not only can I not get all the girls, I'm falling way, way behind on levelling them up. There is a zero percent chance I will increase my investment in the game to $1500/month just so I can buy out the shop. If that's what they are hoping to accomplish, I wish them the best of luck, but as I've mentioned I'm not going to support those kinds of shenanigans so I'm back to F2P. If they're looking to get more money, I'd suggest they attempt to make it more attractive for many people to spend in an affordable range than attempt to milk a handful of people for mortgage-payment levels of money. Either way, they won't see another dime from me until this mechanic sees some significant changes for the better.
  5. Not a good enough change for me to reactivate my card. If you want my money again you're going to have to do better.
  6. I said this in another thread, but I've decided to switch from being a paid player and going back to being a free player. Still going to hang around for a bit because things might get fixed, but the last few changes have made the game exponentially more expensive and it's just not worth it anymore. I was paying so I could get pretty much all the girls and be able to afford to level them up, but the cost in real dollars to do that went from $30/mo to, doing some pretty basic napkin math, around $250/mo. I could lease a very respectable car for that much money, or, you know.. get a few more jpegs. Maybe there are some people willing to pay that much for images you could just download off the wiki, but I ain't one of them. I was happy to pay ~$30/mo when it went a long way, but now it provides a tiny fraction of the value it used to. I'm not just going to keep cranking up how much I'm willing to pay. I'll spend that money elsewhere instead. Monthly card cancelled, not buying league passes, no special offers, etc. Kinkoid is going to have to earn my money if they want me to start spending again. Also worth mentioning that this isn't a direct result of the absurdly priced mythic items alone - it's a result of the continual progression of koban squeezing and a meteoric rise in real dollar cost over the last year to keep up with the pace of content releases. This is just the final straw for me.
  7. Average market refresh for me just went from 42 kobans for 7000 affection to 1060 kobans for 35000 affection. So.. from 166 affection per koban spent to 33.. Things are now five times worse than they already were. That doesn't even take into account that that's only the cost of a refresh.. without paying to refresh the ratio is even worse. This has put me right off. I'm cancelling my monthly card and will no longer support this game financially. I'll deal with the hassle and limitation of being a free player over dumping an ever-escalating amount of money into this just to stay afloat.
  8. I'm pretty sure you didnt read anything I wrote. That or you are just way, way luckier with shard and orb drops than I am. I'm doing all that. I do the daily missions, I do the PoP, etc. etc. They nerfed red orb drops last month; there's no 100 red orbs coming in anymore. It was great while it lasted because it let me clear out the entire epic pachinko, but now I'm lucky to get half that from all the aforementioned sources. I abuse saving all the combativity rewards at the end of the month for the following classic event so I can go in with 300+ fights and mostly clear it. I'm also exploiting how badly broken the League is by winning D2 then intentionally losing the following week, so I'm getting 20k/mo from Leagues instead of 7k. Your own math shows the shortfall. Your scenario spends 25000 kobans a month and earns ~17000.. That's 8000 short, every month, for a player who I assume is at a similar level to me (452). More when RNG catches up and you also start to run out of red orbs. That doesn't even count the thousands of kobans for store refreshes to keep up with levelling the girls. A 10k shortfall in kobans = ~$100 spent to keep up, while already paying for a daily card, season pass, etc. What I've been seeing the last few months is my red orb stockpile dwindling, my koban pile dwindling, I'm choosing to skip events to save kobans, and I've got 50+ girls who I haven't even 3-starred with affection items. Forget how far behind they are on experience; fully a third (200+) of my girls are still level 1. Fine and dandy, you can't have everything, I guess.. but I AM paying money every month for more kobans and more rewards. "I didn't pay any money and I can get less than 1/3 of the mythic girls!" doesn't even address the real question. How much money is the "get everything" tier supposed to be? Used to be $20/mo got you all the girls. Then it went to $30/mo... Now with Mythics it's much higher. Do they really intend for the game to be a $200/mo investment for people who want to collect everything in a game that is ostensibly about collecting everything? I suppose it's only tangentally related to the Mythic Girls in particular, but their introduction plus the subsequent nerfing of red orb drops is when it became impossible to keep pace at a reasonable spending level. I know none of the spenders in my club are happy at the escalating price of staying afloat, and at the end of the day it's the people spending money who keep the lights on. I mean.. simple and relatively painless thing that would help a lot is just reducing the store refresh time, or increasing the size of the store. I've got more Ymens than I can spend and they're totally worthless because the store refreshes so slowly. Fun fact: it takes more than 50 days of buying out the store of affection items, on cooldown, to 6-star one Mythic Girl, ignoring all the other girls you would get in that time. If the shop size/rate is increased proportionally then we can save a ton of kobans on shop refreshes, which goes a long way towards balancing things out.
  9. I'm fine with the 9k/2h shard limit.. it is really silly on the first two days but by the third day it has slowed down considerably and should be relatively easy to obtain for anyone with the kobans. My problem with the mythic days events, maybe the game in general, is the kobans. Getting all the available girls in a month means paying 10800 for the two new epic pachinko girls (10x epic pachinko being the most efficient way to get a girl), 7200 for the path of attraction, ~15000 for the mythic girl, ~4000 for legendary days girl, 21600 for the four classic event pachinko-only girls, and another few thousand on combativity reloads to get the classic event girls (now that they are cut even shorter), and reloads for the pvp event girls. Oh, and another 10800 to get the two new girls in the orgy event, even if you have all the previously available ones. If you get all those girls, you can't afford to level them out in affection or experience without paying thousands more kobans for shop reloads. Some of those girls you can get with red orbs, but now that they nerfed the drop rate of those, they can't keep up with the pace of girls coming in either. An average player who completes all their daily missions and participates in the leagues is going to bring in something like, what, 10k kobans a month? Plus 30ish red orbs? Clearly nowhere near enough. I don't think I'm an average player.. I'm paying for a game card, frequently winning the D2 division for ~20k kobans a month, paying for the season pass, and exploiting my path of attraction and seasons rewards to get advantages in other events and contests. I also purchase the odd special offer booster.. So I'm spending money and bringing in an average of 40k kobans a month, and I'm still nowhere close to keeping up with the rate of girls coming in and the cost to level them. Ostensibly this is a pokemon game.. I don't feel like it's a pay to win because "winning" in this case is just "catching more girls", but at this point it's near impossible to catch them all even if you are paying. It kind of defeats the purpose of the game when it can't be won. You just have to pick and choose, often dictated by class and not even getting the rewards you actually want, unless you are willing to spend mortgage payment levels of money. As I fall further and further behind I start to wonder why I am bothering to spend money every month on a game where I am always kept behind the curve even when I'm exploiting every loophole I can find. Kinkoid.. we play this game for the story and to GET girls. When you throw a whole mountain of girls at us and say "you can't get them all, but you can pick a few", that's not fun, it's discouraging. As far as suggestions for this go.. either slow down the rate of girls coming in, reduce the level-up costs, or reduce the expected koban cost of a girl to a level where a paying customer can expect to get it. I've been having fun with this game for years but the last few months have really soured me on it.
  10. I feel like you've done a very good job of distilling what I was trying to get at in my original post. Thanks for that well-reasoned and coherent summary.
  11. So obvious when I see it. Not sure how we never thought of this, but you're absolutely right. If it only dropped 10% impression like a regular champion it would not be a problem at all.
  12. Just wanted to touch on a few problems we are seeing come up with the Club Champion feature now that it has been running for a couple weeks.. I'm speaking as a representative of the Club, having talked to most of the members (we are actually pretty active in chat). Every player is active (last online time < 24h for entire club), and ranging in level from 350-450, give or take. When the feature first came out, we had good participation, a few players were spamming kobans to make sure we were completing the event in time. Several of them, myself included, were able to get enough shards to get the girl. Now that a few players have the girl, we are seeing participation change. It's not decreasing.. players are still using tickets and fighting the girl, but the members who already have the girl are not spending kobans for extra attacks, just hitting the Champion on their regular cooldown, 10-15 times a day on average. It's hard to ask players to do more than that when the rewards do not scale with effort once you have the girl. Without people spending lots of kobans on extra attacks, we are no longer beating the Champion.. only getting to 40-60% impression. The lack of expectation of success now is driving the players who don't have the girl yet to not spend kobans either, so we are in this spiral of worsening preformance. I've told people that if they really want the girl, they have to be willing to drop a few thousand kobans and go hard for a few days.. but it really does leave casual players in the dust. We're seeing this gradual slide in the number of total attacks being done, even though we're still getting 30-35 active participants on the Club Champion every day. I'm curious if people from other clubs have been having the same experience? We've been discussing a few potential solutions to address this.. Not sure if that exceeds the scope of this forum, but might be worth some discussion. 1) Faster Champion Decay - 10 failed attempts to impress means 10 days for the Champion to lose a level. Considering that the Champion only sticks around for 30 days before rotating out, this is simply too slow. If we're capping out at 60% impression, with a Champion at level 216, available one month out of three, that means it'll decay 12 levels per year, and be nearly a decade before it decays to 50% of it's current power level. I'm not sure if that's the intent or not.. it seems unnecessarily punishing. If the Champion gets weaker on failed days at a faster rate, that means a shorter delay before it gets into a beatable position.. as it is right now the casual players who can't afford to spend tons of kobans, or dont have a huge stockpile of challenge tickets, don't have a realistic shot at ever getting the girl. 2) Scaling rewards with participation after getting the girl - We could use a way to motivate people who have the girl already to do more than just the bare minimum. If I do one attack and the rest of the club beats the Champion, I get one affection item. If I spend 1200 kobans on attacks and the club beats the Champion.. I get one affection item. That's a really, really expensive affection item. Yeah, I'm helping out the other members of the club, but that's a pretty steep price and I'm not willing to mandate that all my members spend kobans every day on this. If someone is contributing more and more attacks, then I would like to see some kind of linearity in the rewards coming their way. If the intent of the system is to encourage teamwork, then it has to be rewarding for everyone involved. 3) Changing reward structure - Everyone knows that the girl is the real reward and everything else is secondary. We had a member suggest, and it was a popular suggestion in the discussion, that a preferable system would see the Club Champion work more like the Season system. Have an impression threshold that you must reach as a group before the end of the month. If you reach it, the whole club gets the girl at the end of the month. Bonus rewards (Affection items, in this case) would be awarded based on overall participation. That's a much larger change and again, probably beyond the scope of what the devs want to even consider, but I figured it was worth a mention. Anyways, I think that's a big enough wall of text. Thanks for sticking with it so long. TL;DR - Can't convince people in the club to spend kobans on extra attacks after they get the girl, so we're having trouble beating the Club Champion now. Widespread problem or just us?
  13. Definitely agree. Girls coming way faster than gifts now that we can no longer get gifts from bosses. Used to be able to at least keep up with affection by buying out the shop every time it was up, now I'm just falling farther and farther behind.
  14. Disregard this, issue resolved itself. Mod can delete the thread.
  15. I get the impression that this will work really well for boss girls, and really badly for event girls. If I understand how this works, we should expect that unless you're sinking tons of kobans into Event Pachinko (for which, by the way, the patch notes are very confusing) or stamina refills, it's going to take 3-4 years of revival events to get a legendary days girl, or even both girls from a normal 4-day event. I thought the whole point of the droppable ones was being able to get them WITHOUT spending kobans? Neutral shards you can stockpile that allow you to simply buy a girl of your choice during her window of availability would go a long way towards alleviating that. Maybe those could go in the place of the "YOU GET NOTHING" rewards that Karole keeps giving me, which I assume is a busted placeholder for shards of the girls I already got from her. Very annoying bug to get zero rewards for beating a boss. I certainly hope it's a bug anyways. It's not a terrible system and with a few tweaks (and please fix that zero rewards bug) it will work fine, but it doesn't fix what it set out to fix. You could easily have just implemented a "mercy rule" that gives you a girl after something like 1200 failed attempts on a boss (number pulled at random, could easily be varied by rarity/event duration/etc) and saved yourselves a lot of trouble. All we wanted was some guarantee that we weren't just throwing away endless resources on something that would never come due to RNG and you haven't provided that. Now it's just a new RNG way to get a girl alongside the existing RNG.
  16. I get the impression that the blank reward is a shard for a girl you already have, which is probably a bug. What bothers me more is this: Figured I would try an Event Pachinko spin, got no Attraction. Tried again in case it was a bug, again no shards. Wasted 3600 kobans on nothing due to misleading patch notes. I mean, I wasn't expecting a girl with every spin at only 1800 kobans each, but I wasn't expecting nothing at all, either. Would it kill them to get someone who is a native English speaker to proof read their communications?
  17. Interesting. I usually just leave the tab open. Been quite a while since I relogged completely. I'll do that and see what happens. Thanks very much.
  18. *updated. I've been playing for just over a year. I played free for the first ten months before starting the monthly card. I'm getting about 600 kobans/month from the Leagues, 1800 from the monthly card, 4500 from daily missions, and I used to be able to do contests for another few hundred (due to what I think is a bug, I haven't been given any contests in about a week now, but that's unrelated). The reason I say all this is to sum up that I'm making about 7000 kobans a month by playing the game. I've got all the boss girls, and I'm chipping away at the Epic Pachinko girls. My understanding from reading this, and what's been said about the drop rate, is that the Event Pachinko is pretty much never worthwhile. At 8000+ kobans average per girl, and multiple event girls per month, that's simply unobtainable for me without paying *significantly* more money than the cost of a monthly card. From what has been determined by users and released by the devs, the drop math works out like this: - Chance for a girl from a boss = Varies by level and number of girls in the harem, starts off very high, ends up abysmally low - Chance for an event girl from a boss = Some set value dependent on the length of the event, user estimates are between 0.5 and 2% - Chance for a girl from a 1x Epic Pachinko Spin = ~5% - Chance for a girl from a 1x Event Pachinko Spin = ~22% - Chance for a girl from a 10x Epic Pachinko Spin = 100% Which means the cost in kobans for a girl works out like this: - Average kobans for a girl from a boss = 0 kobans - Average kobans for a girl doing 1x Epic Pachinko spins = 540 x 20 = 10800 kobans - Average kobans for an event girl in Event Pachkino = 1800 x (100/22) = 8180 kobans - Average kobans for a girl doing 10x Epic Pachinko spins = 5400 x 1 = 5400 kobans How you should be spending your kobans, if you want the best bang for your buck: 1. If you have boss girls available from any boss, don't spend kobans on Pachinko at all. Save them until you have all the boss girls. (1a. If you are down to the last couple boss girls, it's probably safe to do Epic Pachinko. Those last couple girls will have such a horrible drop rate that you'll gladly pay the 5400 kobans to never have to see Bremen's stupid face again. Caveat, if you only have girls left from the highest available boss, you may want to hold off. Chances are you will be fighting that boss for a looooong time anyways.) 2. If you have no boss girls available, and there is even one girl left in the Epic Pachinko, save up the 5400 kobans for a 10x spin and the guaranteed girl. 3. If you have no girls remaining in Epic Pachinko, use the Event Pachinko (or save your kobans for when new Epic Pachinko girls are added to the game). Summary: It looks like the Event Pachinko is there exclusively for whales, or for people who really want to add specific event girls to their harems and are willing to dedicate a disproportionate amount of time (in saving kobans) and/or money (in buying kobans) to get them. If you're a free or monthly card player, or you are only interested in getting the most girls you can at the lowest cost, it should only be used as a last resort. The 1x Epic Pachinko is actually even worse than the Event Pachinko and should probably never be used. I personally still have about 25 girls left to get in Epic Pachinko, so I doubt I'll be touching the Event Pachinko for another couple years, provided my interest in the game holds that long.
  19. For the last week or so I have not been offered any contests in the Activities section. It just says they will be available in a day or two.. when that timer expires it just resets and gives another timer. See attached screenshot. This has been going on for the last 5-7 days. I don't remember exactly when it started but this is the third or fourth reset with no contests.
